17 Preparing

When Jiang Chen got back from the head master's office, everyone in the house was trying to find out what happened.

"What did the headmaster do to you, Brother Chen?"

Li Sung quickly ran up to Jiang Chen and asked.

"Yeah, did she give you any punishment or you know what? Late-night punishment?"

Gu Ming sneaked up to Jiang Chen's back and slapped it. He had this creepy smile on him as if he was enjoying the very moment.

"Nothing bad. The headmaster just applied me to Heaven's Accent."

"Heaven's Accent!! What the!! I have been praying my entire to just see the event happen and this guy gets to participate in it!"

Gu Ming started to fake cry on top of his bed and the entire room just went silent.

"What's he going on about?"

Jiang Chen was confused about the sudden outburst of depression. Li Sung was the one who answered to Jiang Chen's lack of intelligence of the new world or Pangaea look alike.

"The event is only open to top-notch geniuses and experts. Most people who are above the requirement are already above the age limit of 18. The rewards were able to make experts in higher realms go crazy for."

"Ohhh, so that's why he's like that."

Jiang Chen pointed at Gu Ming who was still crying on the bed.

"Well, I'll be staying in the cultivation room for the next few days."

Jiang Chen walked into the room and shut the door. The entire room may be slightly bigger than the cultivation room at the main branch, however, it has to be shared by 4 people. Jiang Chen sighed and took a deep breath into his lungs. He took out the vines and held it tightly in his hands. He took another deep breath and took a big bite from the vine.

"Bleghhhhh!!!"

Jiang Chen threw up the moment the vine touched his mouth. He then looked at the vine again and bite into it again. He started to chew really hard and swallowed. Qi streamed into his dantian along with an earthly feeling in his mouth. He tried hard to absorb the Qi as fast as possible while the Qi went around his body. The booming sound came from deep within his body that came with each breath that Jiang Chen took.

"I have to get to Body-Tempering Stage 5 before the event or else I might not even stand a chance."

Jiang Chen broke into the next level after 3 hours of sitting in the lotus position.

Jiang Chen stood up and went out of the room. The rest of the roommates were deep in sleep with light shining right down the horizon. Jiang Chen quickly and quietly walked out of the room.

Jiang Chen walked into the forest and onto an unsuspecting demonic beast. The beast looked like it was hunting for its first meal of the day. Jiang Chen pounced out of nowhere and did his infamous lightning ball sacking move which left the beast paralyzed. It dropped dead after many horrible tortures.

Jiang Chen was used to the grinding life after playing a lot of RPG games in his past life. The countless hours that Jiang Chen spent playing the games can be said to be god-like. His ability to play these games and reach absurd heights within the game is even more god-like. Most people would even say that his ability is top-notch within the gaming world.

Jiang Chen muttered to himself and shot into the treetops. Each unsuspecting animal that walked underneath the tree that Jiang Chen was waiting had their fertility broken, including female demonic beasts. By the time of the Heaven's Accent, Jiang Chen gained a profit of 402 credits and broke into the Body-Tempering Stage 5. Jiang Chen got back to the sect just before the sunrise.

"Brother Chen, you're back! The sect master asked you to come to see her on the teleportation array near the back of the sect."

"Thank you, Brother Ming."

Gu Ming smiled at Jiang Chen and said.

"Don't worry about it. We're brothers so we should act like it."

Jiang Chen said goodbye to Gu Ming and went to find the sect master. She was at the area where all of the flying demonic beasts were at. Most tamers were revered in a high position since their tamed beasts that are sold or rented has to be the utmost condition. Cultivators can't fly until a certain realm has been reached (which will be revealed in the future) so it would be the death zone in the sky for these cultivators.

"Good morning, headmaster."

"You are 3 minutes and 27 seconds late from the designated departure time."

"I am sorry. I was training in the forest and I lost track of time."

"That doesn't matter. Get on the mount."

Jiang Chen followed her onto the demonic beast and sat down when they were about to take off. The wind went through Jiang Chen's hair as if the oxygen became one with his body. Flying was a feeling than Man has been dreaming of since ancient times. The Wright Brother of Jiang Chen's old Earth had a dream and they achieved it by building the first-known working airplane. Jiang Chen had a different dream in mind - He was gonna achieve flying without any bounds whether it was by demonic beast or an airplane!
