Zhang Wei's Persuasion
ODDLY, THE ENTIRE hall inside the Sacred Vihara was overcome with silence.
"So, how about it?" Zhang Wei asked after explaining himself to City Lord Shen Zui. "Shen Zui, think about it. You don't like war, but isn't this what you want? To purify and enlighten the whole realm and its people, that this should be something everyone should pursue."
Shen Zui pondered for a moment. "You're right, but purging the souls of these people's innocent lives. It's not quite worth it. I'd rather stay here in my Sacred Vihara."
Zhang Wei shook his head in response. "You don't understand me at all. Shen Zui, come to the think of it, won't you be saving the souls of these people when we purge them? These innocent lives need salvation. Living in this world as if you're living in a prison for being weak is just the same as not living at all.
