6 Proposal
Luke saw Shine lying on the sofa, inside he felt anxious he tried to look away but was captured by her innocent face . From the first moment he met her he was attracted towards her wittiness and glow made him wanting to cherish her, is this the love at first site they all talked about.
But there were two major problems, one she is his late brother's bride and second because his chest and back had huge burn mark and it was so bad he knew this pure woman will find it gruesome he didn't want to scare her. So, he schooled his feature when she woke up.
When Shine woke up she hoped that it was all a dream but when she saw sad face of Luke she knew it was all true it happened her husband was no more. Tears started to fall down her face she said with hoarse voice " what I am gonna do, I told my sister that I am finally gonna live a life where I am not a burden for her and I am back at square one".
Mrs Aldwin hugged her " hush sweetheart it's gonna be alright and you can stay with us we will help you find a perfect man to marry and I promise you, we will be there for you always it's all because of your plan that me and my daughter survived that robbery and if you are in trouble now it's our duty to help you or else how am I gonna face the Lord, when my times come".
Luke wanted to say something but after a while he bid good bye and went out to his lonely home. After few days Luke started his daily life forgetting about the girl who for the first time knocked in his heart.
After about one week Luke came to his house at morning after having a tough night because there was a fire at Mrs Nightly's house which took him whole night to control after settling her at her neighbor's house. He finally got the chance to sleep when a knock sounded at his door feeling tired he went to the door swinging it open, when he heard a gasp.
His eyes widened when he realized in his tired state he was not wearing a shirt and all his burn marks was visible to Shine whose eyes were wide and astonished. He squeezed his eyes shut and ran to his room to wear his shirt. Feeling nervous he thought she would have already left seeing his gruesome chest, but he found her sitting there calmly looking at the potted plant he brought with himself after saving Mrs Nightly last night which she gave him as a thank you gift.
He cleared his throat she replied in a calm voice " I like this plant but her eyes were on his face as if saying something else" He was nervous about what to say when he finally asked " what brought you here". She was quite for a second when replied " because I want to marry you Mr Luke"
