Sighing, Magnus thought about what will happen from now on, as orran never experienced challenging someone else he only knew about rumors.

although from these rumors Magnus had a general idea of what will happen in case he won.

« Hopefully I won't lose my self»

a sudden painful sensation as if the deepest part of one's soul is getting deformed, dematerialized then materializing once more

as the pain went away Magnus found himself inside the body of a newborn child.

years passed by and the child grew up in a happy family with a caring mother, a doting father, and loving siblings.

At the age of five, the boy studied etiquette, literature, history, and the arts of war. he learned from famous generals and knowledgeable teachers, he was praised for his intelligence and his hard-working nature.

the boy grew up in a strict environment such as he barely had any time to rest.

he picked up the art of saber at the age of 8, trained hard, and by the age of 20, he was hailed as a master of the saber.

at the age of 20, he enlisted in the military of the Dazh'ar empire, as a son of a noble household he starting line was different from that of a commoner.

starting as a 300-men Commander Aznar stabilized his position and proved himself worthy of leading his soldiers.

going up the ranks he was appointed as a 1000-men Commander a few months after joining the military, battle after battle the young Aznar employed diverse and brilliant strategies, bringing glory to his household and empire.

his rise resumed and by the age of 25, he already was a commander of 5000 men, outshining most commanders such as he was ever victorious in every battle.

experiencing the touch of death time and time again, the soon to be general proved to everyone how capable he is.

by the aging emperor of Dazh'ar, he was appointed as a general at the age of 29, giving him the responsibility of leading 100.000-men and the highest of honors.

although Aznar proved himself time and time again most of the empire's nobles were against him being a general, after all a general carries so much power and weight, that every one of them is precious.

A third of the nobles were acceptant toward this while the rest were against him holding so much power in the military and he was denounced as inexperienced by them.

however, Aznar leading his troop conquering the enemies, and creating miracle after miracle established his authority and prestige as a general in everyone's heart.

years passed and the Dazh'ar Emperor died of old age, whilst not appointing a successor of his from his three children.

the three princes each fighting for the throne quickly realized the importance of Aznar whether it's his military power or influence.

of the three children, the first prince was a generous person and loved by the people, the second was a tynical person unforgiving of any mistake done by his subordinates, while the third prince was greedy for power as he always felt that he under his two elder brothers.

inside a room sits Aznar on a chair, his hair greying in some places as if showing the traces of time.

brows furrowing as he thought about the predicament the empire is facing now, few seconds later his face relaxed

"the empire's conquest is almost finished, all we need is a benevolent ruler that can stabilize the empire and the people. hopefully, the first prince won't let me down"
