Confrontation III

In the monitoring room, Miss Everdine was watching the Test with rapt attention. A voice came from the other side.

"What do you think."

She waited for a moment, going through all the things she had see so far, from Eto's plan to Anna's speed to Aya's power to copy, She turned to face the direction she heard the voice.

"I'll wait till the end before I make my decision."

"Okay, all students are set to return to the Academy in a week."

"Yes they are, hope this little ones improve before they get here." replied Miss Everdine.

"True, They all have respectable and powerful parents especially the Grey's, I heard a rumour that says Eron Grey, Vanessa Grey's father is about to breakthrough to become a Forger."

Miss Everdine kept quiet while the blurry shadowy distorted figure continued.

"If he does, we'll have to reevaluate the family of the Grey, Eron Grey has a lot of knowledge which we might need to steal if things get dicey, Well these are all powerful families in their own right, no wonder none of them ever works for the NIC."

Miss Everdine kept quiet and continued looking at the screen which displayed different scenes from the battle going on below.

"Eto we have a problem."

"What is it Aya." Eto said while running away from Anna."

"Forcefield, Alex can create force fields, there's one protecting her and the flag."

Eto scrunched his brows, 'It's four against two and now this force field is gonna be a problem.' Eto thought.

"Eto what should I do."

"Have you tried teleporting inside the force field."

Aya tried teleporting inside but there was a force preventing her from appearing inside. Alex looked at her with the expressionless silver mask on her face.

"It's not working Eto." Aya said with furrowed brows.

Eto was teleporting and trying to lose Anna, She kept on moving to where he teleported to as soon as he appeared there, he knew she was fast but he didn't think she was this fast.

Each time she appeared behind him, she would shoot an electric bullet at him or she would swing her katana at him.

"Anna the flag, we have the flag." Sam said to Anna through the Holo watch that they use to communicate.

"You have to take it back to base if we want to win right." Ava said to Anna.

"Yes, Ava you're the fastest so you should fly it back to base."

"Alright Anna."

"You know we're about to win, Maybe if we were more alike, you'd be winning now."

Anna said to Eto with a smile on her face.

"I wouldn't be so sure if I were you." Eto replied when he suddenly had a thought.

' More alike, that's it.'

"Aya, Copy Alex powers and you can use your own force field to cancel hers out when you get close to touch it." Eto told Aya.

"Okay, should have thought of this since, can't believe I forgot, I hope this works."

Aya moved closer and Placed her hand on the forcefield, The way Alex force field works is that she used the particles in the surroundings to create the force field, so if Aya used the same particles to create her own forcefield, she would be able to pass through Alex force field because the force field would be in the same wave or frequency so they wouldn't reject her.

After placing her hand on the force field, she pushed through and broke Alex forcefield, Alex raised her gun and was about to shoot at Aya when she teleported and appeared behind her, as she was about to use her katana to hit Alex, Alex tilted her head and raised her arm guard, she used the force field on her arm guard to block the strike, then she kicked Aya back.

Aya fell down on the ground, She raised her head and looked at Alex with a smile then she waved and teleported when she saw her sister flying fast towards the base with a flag in hand.

Alex was a bit confused but she noticed that the flag was missing.

An announcement broke through the skies in huge words centered in the city.

Red Team wins....

Anna stopped chasing Eto and looked up at the sky to see the words that displayed 'Team Red Wins.' She smiled and ran to where her team members were standing, She found them waiting for her, They all had their heads down, Ava in particular was murmuring to herself.

"Am sorry I wasn't fast enough." Ava said while raising her head with teary eyes.

Anna walked up to her and said.

"It's okay Ava, it's actually my fault, I didn't check to see if your sister was out."

She ruffled Ava's hair and continued.

"Besides it's just a test to see how capable and strong we are, There's no reason to be sad."

"She's right Ava, there's really no reason to be sad." Sam said to Ava.

"True True." Alex said and put a hand on her shoulder

Ava smiled after hearing what they had to say.

The training room changed back to it's normal empty state, they started walking towards the other team who was waiting for them.

Aya ran to hug her sister when she saw her coming, she looked at her sister's face and saw her eyes.

"Lemme guess you almost cried." Aya said while still holding her sister's shoulder.

Ava nodded.

"Really now, Have you forgotten what we talked about, we have to be strong for ourselves and for our family."

Ava nodded again.

"Besides this is just a test to see how strong we are, and if it was up to me, You aced it."

Ava smiled when she heard what her sister had said and she hugged her again.

"Hey sis, Good game." Eto said to his sister.

Anna walked up to Eto, she smiled and punched him on the shoulder.

"Yeah Good game, I didn't expect her to play possum."

"Yeah, I knew we couldn't beat you head on, so I had to do that."

"We won and you guys lost, how dishonorably beautiful." Karl said with a gloating expression on his face.

While they were talking Miss Everdine appeared in front of them again, she appeared like a ghost and turned her gaze on them which made them feel cold like they had fallen into a cycle of death. But it disappeared as fast as it came and only Anna felt it.

"Great work everyone, Now I've gotten data on all of you so I need to grade you, Now this won't be like an A or an F."

She looked at them one after the other then she continued speaking.

"You must must have all heard how the inhabitants of this galaxy grade those with power, There are three levels but the powers take a great leap each level you pass the three levels are Light human, Dark human and the Exalted human."

"Each level has just two stages which are the Amateur and peak stages."

They looked at her and nodded.

"Well from the data collected you're all Amateur light humans."

She continued after they nodded their head in understanding.

"Anna, here is close to crossing another level, she just has to get an epiphany that will enable her cross." Miss Everdine said.

The others looked at Anna in varying emotions of reverence, envy and surprise.

Eto walked up to Anna and patted her shoulder.

"That's to be expected from my sister."

Miss Everdine clapped to get their attention.

"Okay that will be all for today, You have one week before the other students arrive, so you should work hard to pick your future paths as it will help you when you start taking missions."

They nodded after hearing her.

They all went to the cafetaria to get food to eat, they all sat at the same table, and started talking about the exercise they had just been through.

"So who do you think is the strongest here."

Karl asked everyone.

"it's Anna." they all said at the same time which made Karl grimace. He got up and went out while muttering something about training to increase his strength as he left.

"Yeah, and Aya." Ava said while resting her hand on the shoulder of sister.

"So what do you guys think about Miss Everdine."

it was Jake who spoke up.

They looked at him then Anna said.

"Am guessing maybe a peak Dark human."

Eto kept his chin on his hand while holding a fork on his other hand.

"I agree with Anna."

"Yeah, not like we can measure her power anyway." Aya said.
