1 A Dream

A familiar place showed up in front of me. A place that I considered my one and only paradise in the middle of hell, 15 years ago.

Nothing has changed. There are still many trees surrounding the open grass field with a big,old tree in the middle. The moonlight still makes the tiny blue flowers on the grass stand out.

I hope you're here too. No,I know you are here. You'll definitely be here, I thought as I started searching for her within the area.

" Yo~Why are you running around like a dog?Pfft!"

The familiar sound of a young girl echoed throughout my ears. My body turned around and, finally, I saw her.

" IONA! "

My voice sounded like a young boy but even though it's like that, anyone could still tell the emotions I felt when I saw her standing behind me,wearing the usual white yet stained, oversized shirt, a long, straight, black hair that looks stunning under the moonlight, and the little yet warm smile on her face. I couldn't help but become honest in front of her all the time. The sadness and longing for her. Before I knew it, tears started falling down from my eyes.

" Yeah? Come here.Pfft. What's wrong with you? "

I wanted to run towards her and hug her.But my little body won't move and just continued to tremble. Why do I always act pathetic in front of her? I hate it. All I can see is a blurry vision of her,running towards me.

"Eh~What's the matter?"

She asked with a soothing voice while she's holding me in her arms.

I couldn't answer her question. I'm just crying and feeling weak. I probably looked pathetic while clinging tightly to her, I thought. I hate this feeling, I hate myself.

"Ah. This is why you couldn't save me."

The atmosphere suddenly became extremely heavy. I couldn't breathe. As I lifted my head, I saw a man behind her! Before I could even shout her name, the man already bit her neck. The blood scattered on my face as she slowly turned pale in front of me.

" I...IONA!!! "

I suddenly woke up from my nightmare and rose from my bed with cold sweats. I felt dizzy from the sudden movement while my heart was thumping rapidly. I tried to calm down but I felt uneasy. What happened 15 years ago still hunts me. I knew I would keep on having these nightmares as long as I can't find any clues about 15 years ago.

The sky is still dark and the wind is cold. It's still dawn and I still have 2 hours remaining before preparing myself to work at VEX. I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, so I leave my bed and decided to do some push-ups to distract myself.
