Dear Stephen

I tend to keep things short when it comes to situations like these but for your sake and because of your specific circumstances, I'll add a bit more information.

The closest description you could stick on me is that I am a ROB. You've read enough novels to understand what that stands for. I'd like to say that this is perhaps the first and last time you'll ever have any sort of contact with me so don't worry your little head about any expectations I have of you.

In terms of your situation, I am conducting a little experiment, partially because of the ridiculous way you died and partially because of a little situation that I'm having with your estranged relative, Alexander Turner. It's only because of my involvement with him that I am giving any thought to you.

...

Alexander Turner?

The elder second cousin I had who mysteriously disappeared along with his mother a couple years back? Whoever this mysterious person was, they were correct about one thing. He was estranged from the family but I blamed that wholly upon my grandfather's generation in the family. Ever since my dad's cousin, Alex's dad, had died, my great uncle and and aunt, Alex's paternal grandparents, had been right gits towards his mother which strained his relationship with us.

He and I were not quite as close as moderately related relatives would usually be but we never had bad blood. I kind of envied him a little. Unlike me who was always constantly moving around, he had a fixed life in a small town in England. He was extremely fit and had a body that men envied. He was an excellent fencer and a black belt martial artist as far as I heard.

However, about two to three years ago he and his mother had disappeared from the house they lived in and a manhunt was set to find them. But nothing. No traces, no witnesses, no leads, nothing. It was like they had vanished into thin air.

And this ROB had something to do with them? I continued reading the letter addressed to me in the book.

...

Anyways, moving on with the topic at hand. You needn't worry about encountering your relative anywhere here since he is in an alternate reality.

As you can no doubt see, you are in the world of Danmachi. This is real, this not a hallucination. This is real life now, and I've decided to allow you powers that I would not usually give to reincarnators. I simply want to see how you would do with them.

As you can see, you have a Minecraft interface which is basically what your cheat power will be in this world. You will notice a lot of physical changes in yourself soon and you will have to get used to living with your new abilities. Considering exactly what they are, it should not be too hard.

You still have your Operator perks which means you are fully capable of using /commands in the chat log on the left side of your interface...

...

My eyes flicked over to the text chat where the little cursor was flickering. If that was true, then boy oh boy was that a very powerful cheat. The stuff I could do with simple commands...how did I operate it though? I didn't seem to have a keyboard when I tried tapping it like I did with the hotbar. I looked back at the writing in the book and it was like this person already knew what was going through my head because the solution was already there.

...

By the way, if you're wondering how you're supposed to interact with such features in your interface, there isn't a keyboard there for you to tap buttons. The only limit is your imagination. You have to project your commands and your text into the chat. I would suggest imagining typing with the keys on a keyboard. You'll get used to it eventually. Or you could say it aloud to help you get a clearer image but for me personally, it is a disappointing detriment.

I'd also like to point out that even though you can physically interact with your interface and your profile, that is also unnecessary. You may just imagine clicking the icons and the images and it will do the job. Practice will help you do it flawlessly in eventual time.

Now back to your powers, you still have your Operator privileges in addition to your server owner privileges. You may use Creative Mode and Spectator Mode as freely as you like. Just in case you haven't noticed, I spawned you here in Creative Mode, just to be on the safe side...

...

I looked above the hotbar and sure enough my hearts and my saturation was missing. It could also explain why I didn't feel the book drop on me earlier and why it awkwardly bounced like it did.

...

I have also allowed you access to the mods list you so religiously stockpiled over the years. Just type the command '/modlist' in the chat and it will give you a menu of the mods you have available and you can simply tick them on and off to make changes to your interface.

I will point out however that I have removed some of them as despite not making many rules for you, there are some things that simply cannot exist in the Danmachi world like parasite mods, or it would be screwed up instantly. You needn't worry though, because even as you are now you're the most powerful creature in this world.

Not even the 'gods' of this world can harm you with some of the insane things you've selfishly coveted over the years. And I can respect the enthusiasm but boundaries exist for a reason. So you have access to different player modes, the Creative menu, and a whole bunch of other things. I'd say you're suited to do whatever in this world.

Now onto the important parts. You have not yet realized it but you will eventually once you finish reading this letter. Apart from what you can see in front of your face currently, there have been several significant changes to you. And the world around you will try and mesh with the interface so it can integrate you.

As such, there will be changes to the Minecraft you know such as new items in your menu that are not there in vanilla Minecraft (but you have that anyway with your extra ores mod on). Also certain restrictions there were in the game simply because the game couldn't handle the data and would lag you, are no longer present anymore. Most of the game functions should remain but things like the hard limit on the /xp command on xp amount is gone. Render distance no longer matters since there is no world generation obviously.

In regards to crossing dimensions like going to the Nether or the End, you can still do that but I highly advise being very careful and waiting a good bit before you do something like that. Ouranos acts as guardian over the city and his divine Domain of the Sky allows him to detect large scale spatial manipulations such as that. He won't detect you teleporting from place to place in the 'Overworld' without the aid of his Arcanum but he will definitely notice portals to other worlds being made if you're reckless.

With regards to the moral expectations of you...

Truthfully it's all up to you since you're just an experiment and you are not given high priority like some of the other people I have reincarnated. But I would appreciate it if you didn't become some megalomaniacal Demon Lord hellbent on destroying humanity or enslaving it. It would be bad on my record and I personally wouldn't like it either.

With regards to your appearance, open your inventory and have a look at your character.

...

I did just that and what beheld me was nothing short of shocking. My skin was still the same tone that it was in my previous life but looking at what was supposedly my current body...Holy Guacamole was this skin familiar!

Put simply, I was a younger version of Minecraft Steve. I'd seen several art depictions of Minecraft Steve (including the funny ones where he had square limbs) and my appearance was comparable to the ones that didn't give him the beard. I had this spicy hair that was neatly fixed yet wild at the same time. I had dark blue eyes and I was wearing Steve's clothes apparently. Looking down at myself, I quickly confirmed that to be the case.

The other thing that caught me was...Boy did Steve have that RIZZ!

He was so handsome and just JACKED. It wasn't the big caveman type of body that I saw some depictions of Steve have, but a lean muscular build that screamed power all the same. I'd seen some fitness fanatics take steroids to get a frame like this but it was just handed to me on a plate?

It suddenly hit me that all of what I was looking at was actually me at the moment. I was standing at about 6'2, packed with muscles that looked like they could bend steel with spicy hair and a handsome face to boot. Not to mention all the crazy powers now at my hand...

~Lucky Lucky Lucky meeee, I'm a Lucky son of a gun!~

---

No doubt you're happy about your appearance. I thought it fitting given your name and all. You still have access to your skins as well so you can change anytime. Now if you haven't noticed yet, your inventory is almost empty save for a few things.

...

I looked and almost had a heart attack when I saw that indeed all my hard earnt items were missing but then I noticed a few shulker boxes along with some pieces of paper in my inventory. There also seemed to be some kind of a pouch which I knew was not part of the game nor had I turned on any mods that could produce such a thing.

But considering that the letter I was reading from this person seemed to predict the questions I always had, it made sense to look back and read again. Sure enough, there the answers were in the next paragraph.

...

I've put all your inventory into sorted shulker boxes for you, not that you would need it since you have Creative but I thought I'd spare you the trouble of sorting it out. One box contains your weapons and armour, the other your food, another your miscellaneous items and another is your riches and valuables. One of the previous boxes also has your tamed mobs in it just in case you were interested though if you can fly, I don't see the need for it.

The important parts are the bits of paper and the pouch. The papers are identification which is the equivalent of a passport. You may be surprised but even a medieval world requires some form of identification when you're so easily crossing borders. Some of the papers are a bunch of maps of Orario and the surrounding areas. As easily as you can travel, you will still need to learn to get around.

The pouch is full of Valis, the common denominations of this world but you already knew that. Study them and learn the currency. You'll need it, trust me.

Now the mountain I have spawned you on top of is part of a mountain range called the Beol mountains. It is home to creatures that have escaped from the dungeon centuries ago and have procreated in the snowy peaks ever since. If you want to practice your powers on them, go ahead. I would highly recommend you do not set off straight for Orario but get to understand your powers first. One of the most important is being in charge of what laws of physics you follow, Minecraft or real life.

Putting down one metre square cubes all the time is going to be quite daunting. You have to learn how to control that part of you before you interact with people.

Once you do go to Orario, your career choice is up to you. I will not dictate on that. However if you do want to join a Familia but keep a low profile for a while, I'd suggest joining one where you'd be the first Child. Like Hestia's for example. At the current point in the timeline you're in, Bell is not yet in Orario but he soon will be.

You can join her or you can join someone else, but I would advise against joining any of the big three (Freya, Loki or Hephaestus) as it will just drown you in political power not to mention it will be extra detrimental for you in that last one. You don't necessarily 'forge' your weapons now do you? Still though, it is up to you.

Now lastly and most importantly...

I cannot say for certain what you feel in regards to your past life. I'll be blunt, you died there so you cannot return there. I'm sorry if it distressing but it is just a fact. I couldn't return you there even if I wanted to because even I am bound by rules. I will assure you though that if you're worried about your family, they will grieve you but they will be okay. Families of reincarnators are taken care of as compensation.

If you resent me, fair enough. Your relative Alex does a lot of that already. If you're happy, good on you. It'll just make your journey more interesting.

Have fun Stephen Hewer, or Steve. However you'd like to be called. I wish you all the best and I hope you bring many great things to that world.

Good luck,

Nekros

P.S. Don't crash the economy okay? That's one assured way to extinction.

P.P.S. Be careful of exactly what you introduce. Evilus still operates in the shadows and they are very good at using anything that has even a slight chance of being a weapon.

P.P.P.S. I forgot to mention earlier that the rest of this book is a manual in which you can learn to acclimate to your powers and the differences the Minecraft System will have because of the world you're in. It will help speed up the process. Take your time. There's no rush. Reincarnators like you have all the time in the world.

...

I turned the last page of the letter written to me and sure enough the rest was a bunch of instructions on basically the physics my new body operated on in each different Gamemode.

To be honest, I wasn't all that bothered anymore about my situation. My parents and I weren't particularly close so I wouldn't be that upset about my old life. It kind of bummed me out that I no longer had access to internet which was a major source of my entertainment.

I had no way of contacting this ROB either to ask but I had a feeling I'd already been given enough privileges. This certainly was not like any situation I'd ever seen in a novel. I had way too much power than could be legal. But I supposed it was okay. The idea of having to suffer in the dungeon for power kind of terrified me as it sounded like too much work. Being given all the cheats I had though meant I would start out around the top of the adventurer's chain.

I was definitely joining a Familia because the hell why not? It would be fun and I'd get to go in the dungeon. Of course I could just go in illegally but that just screamed a want to be involved in a great plot twist. Also, I would like to be known one day in Orario but not as a criminal or lawless troublemaker.

Whatever the case, I was definitely prepared to begin life in this fictional world. Well I suppose it would not be fictional anymore but you get my point. Already my brain was racking up ideas for things I could do. I admit I was a bit peeved that this Nekros dude took away mods like my parasite one. Those were always so fun to troll with but I guessed that it didn't matter much. I was lucky to still have what I got. Too much to do with all these ideas.

But first...

I opened the manual again and got to reading as I began training how to interact with my interface without physically interacting with it like Nekros. It was harder than it sounded but I got the hang of it.

Due to being in Creative mode, I could not feel what I was sure was supposed to be blistering cold this high on a mountain. It made me think what would happen once I turned it off. I didn't plan to always stay in it since I did want to have fun and all. Even playing with cheats got boring at times and I made sure to never do that since I loved cheats and getting tired of them was something I considered to be blasphemous.

So now and then I'd turn my cheats off and play vanilla gameplay so I could appreciate the cheats when I went back on them. Also Nekros was right, it would get suspicious if people found that they couldn't attack or hurt me all the time. As someone who wanted to begin with a low profile first, it was imperative that I was careful about how I used my powers.

I discovered that I still had Minecraft reach, that I could interact with things about 4-5 blocks away which was 4-5 metres in real life. I picked up a rock without it even being in my hand like a telekinetic grip. It opened a whole new realm of possibilities.

I also discovered exactly how ballistically strong I was as Steve. I'd watched videos about the theoretical physical strength of Minecraft Steve and how he could lift a gold block that was supposed to weigh a few tons. I experimented by lifting a boulder the size of a house which felt no lighter than a feather. My heart was jumping around in excitement and I am ashamed to admit that I squealed like a little girl upon discovering this super strength.

With no effort I hurled it down the mountain side and watched as it bounced like a pebble. To me, it may as well have been.

I eventually decided to take my weapons and armour out of the shulker boxes and...Good Lord did I almost cry.

It was ten million times better looking than the realistic resource packs and mods I put on. On a side not, shaders and realistic graphics mod were among the ones missing from the mod lists. I mean I get the point, why would they be needed now that I was living all of this real time? In fact, I didn't even want them anymore.

They were a stark contrast to their pixelated appearance. When I opened the shulker box (by tapping it) the top span upwards but instead of me reaching in, the normal GUI popped up showing me the slots and what was contained in them.

As soon as I took my gear out, my eyes were assaulted by just absolute magnificence and beauty. Quality weapons that would make the adventurers of Orario cry in anger and jealousy. I didn't care what would happen, I would be wearing this when I entered the city.

I had gone for an Eye Trim on my enchanted Netherite armour using amethyst for the colour and the sheer level of detail on this suit was phenomenal. I felt like a fantasy warrior with magical armour ready to slay some evil beasts...which is what I was planning to do anyway. My weapons were even more beautiful.

With maxed out enchantments on all of them even included the weapons that weren't vanilla such as spear, scythe, broadswords, katanas and the like. I was almost afraid of myself. The best part was when I picked them up, I learned how to deposit them in my hotbar and equip them to my character without having to physically put it on. The extra perk was that I could open up my GUI and mentally take an armour piece off and place it in an inventory slot, giving them impression that my helmet just blinked off my face.

I was still able to take it off normally but I thought I would just stick to the game way of doing it.

It soon began snowing heavily above the mountain which annoyed me. It prompted me to see if my commands actually worked in the chat and sure enough the /weather command worked like magic. It instantly cleared an became sunny again. I was almost tempted to do the /time set command but I figured that would alert probably the entire world if the Minecraft laws applied here too. I didn't want to risk it but I had some lowkey reality warping powers here.

This was just absolutely broken. How was I allowed this?

I then decided to open the shulker that had my riches in it and let's just say...

...can you comprehend holding a diamond or an emerald almost as big as your head? And then converting it via crafting table (it was extremely weird getting used to that thing) to a diamond block half the size you are?

All of Earth's money put together probably wouldn't be able to buy it.

Now what about when you made weapons and items with it?

Gold as well?

I was filthy rich already even without Creative Mode. I spent the rest of that day getting used to handling different tables and furnaces using the GUI and also mining in the mountain. It turned out that the results were based on my intentions. If I wanted to mine a block, it would mine a block like my pickaxe would. If I just wanted to mine normal holes or dig normal holes, then they would be normal.

But even then I was very efficient and dug a tunnel right through the mountain. I had to patch it up afterwards with World Edit which I also had access to.

It got me thinking how I would fight as well. I resorted to using my weapons for physical attacks. Somehow, I knew how to wield these weapons like in real combat, as if I were using the realistic combat mod even though I'd never physically held a weapon before barring a few kitchen knives. I chalked it up to perhaps being a perk of my avatar or a result of the XP I had. After all, a good chunk of the 71,955 levels I had had been obtained through mob killing and PKs so it made sense game-wise to be good in combat.

But the problem was that I didn't really have much that could be passed off as magic. That's when I was reminded of certain commands I could use like the Fireball command and how I could edit its explosion power. I also had a 'Natural Disaster' mod on where I was able to summon tornadoes, meteorites, earthquakes, avalanches, fire storms, tsunamis and the like out of practically thin air.

I checked the mods list as well and to my delight I found that mods like the JJK one were still there which opened me to entire new possibilities. I decided to keep those off for now.

I'm pretty sure summoning natural disasters on the scale that I could do it far outclassed any magic they had in this world. I could toy with this stuff when I was in Orario. When night came, I decided to try out the food.

Let me say that the meats were absolutely bland without seasoning even when above a campfire. The pumpkin pie and the fruits however, along with the bread was delicious as a meal. And DON'T get me started on the cookies and cake...OH GORGEOUS!!!

When day came, I decided to finally come out of Creative mode.

[/gamemode survival]

I physically felt the invincibility wear off and the chill of the elements around me settled in. It was weird having felt so powerful before then going back to normal. Even though I was still pretty cracked even in Survival with all my gear and how the physics were melding together to make me even more powerful.

Nekros said there had been monsters on this mountain, so I decided to actually go and fight a monster for real. I took a deep breath as I descended down the mountain into the bottom of the mountain cluster.

---

(Three Days Later)

It turned out that I didn't need to be so alarmed. Obviously in Minecraft I wasn't able to jump so high or run so fast without the /attribute command. But in real life my raw physical strength translated to some crazy things in reality. It was like a whole Saitama situation here but with all the magic gear and stuff you know.

It made wonder though exactly what level I would be equivalent to here. Judging by my strength and power, I definitely knew that I would rank somewhere at the top class of adventurers but where exactly?

It didn't matter. I'd find out anyway. What mattered was I'd gotten used to my abilities and was ready to now go to Orario. And I wanted to do it in style.

Taking a spawn egg out of the shulkers, I threw the egg on the ground and there spawned one of my beloved animals. I downloaded a LOTR mod once on one of my worlds where I indulged in Tolkien lore. What always fascinated me was the giant wolves known as Wargs. I kind of got bored with horses and I thought that riding a giant wolf instead was badass in its own way.

So I created a Warg mod in the server and added them to my friends' world. They loved the idea but the one I had was special.

She was of the Matriarch class, making her bigger and more powerful than the normal ones. But instead of being white like the OG one in the Hobbit, this one was black as night with blue eyes. Her face was terrifying, sporting an already menacing snarl as her default expression of her species. But as soon as she saw me, she rolled over on her belly and began panting like a retriever.

"~Helloooooo Bathsheba~" I cooed as I scratched her tum-tum. "Did you miss Daddy? Did you miss Daddy? Oh yes you did, oh yes you diiiiiid~ And tell you what, Daddy missed you too!" I played with her as I roughly scratched her belly and her neck where her itchiest spots were as well as her forehead. She just melted into goo under my arms as as she soaked up my affection.

Yes, I named her Bathsheba. I thought it was a cool name.

Eventually we stopped playing around and I mounted her akin to a horse. Wargs are super intelligent and it was like she already knew where to go as she took one look at the city in the distance and began descending down the mountain in that direction. She was so well behaved, I had no trouble strapping on the saddle.

Every time she jumped over a ravine or avoided an avalanche or whenever she took out a monster, I couldn't help but spoil her by chucking her bits of steak. What could I say? I was a sucker for animals.

Eventually after a day's worth of travelling, the Dungeon City loomed in the near distance. I took a deep breath in anticipation, eager to greet what was to come.

"Here I come Orario!"

And so began the first day in the best life I could hope to ask for. And slowly but surely, my attention and my memories of my past life were pushed to the deepest parts of mind, where they would rarely ever be visited and eventually after a long time, never remembered ever again as I embraced my new reality.
