Her Straightforwardness

"Hehehe, actually I was also thinking about the solution but suddenly something strike to my mind which was against the solution so I got hyper to think of another solution so that my my former solution will die and the origin of the new solution will able to come out and I won't feel incapable just because of the last solution... So I rest my case regarding the solution and I hope you understand what I wanted to say about my solution" Anna clarified in her own manner in one breath.

Everyone was just trying to grasp the whole clarification.

"So now would you like to share your solution Miss Reddy?" Sahil said.

Sahil Kapoor is also 30 year old like Rahul and only four year older than Anna, so he never misses to taunt Anna. Because Anna is the only one who speaks against him.

"Of course Mr. Kapoor's pleasure is all mine. So to start with the solution I need all of you to cooperate with me and don't interrupt between, you can write down your questions. I'll try to answer each of them. Again I'll remind Mr. Kapoor to hold himself back."

Sahil sneered and said "Why not, even i want to know badly what solution did Miss Reddy found out"

'Whatever' Anna thought and said " okay let's start first with the basic information, this dam alone displaces more than 21,000 families or over 100,000 people in the two cities. Where half of them were displaced earlier because they accepted the construction of the dam but what got them to go against it? Of course because of corruption. You all are here to choose one option either to stop the protest or either drop this construction work. Whereas I deny both the solutions Mr. Prime Minister came with."

Rahul lips twitch because of the straightforwardness of Anna. She never considers with whom she is talking as long as she is right.

Anna continued "First we can't stop this construction because of the benefits we will get. The benefits of doing this are manifold: more water for irrigation, mostly in the drought-prone areas and more hydroelectric power plants. So dropping the idea of construction I already dropped"

"Next, why is the protest happening? I would like to ask my fellow members of this meeting?" Anna asked

Everyone knows the answer but no one wants to accept it. But Anna knows it's all because of the incapability and corrupted mind they all have.

"No one knows!?" "Hoooooo" covering her mouth Anna exaggerated her expression of being shocked. Everyone badly wanted to shut her mouth except Rahul. Because he always enjoys the show shown by Anna.

"No worries, I'll help you member's. So the reason is very simple. The resettled local people are facing many serious problems. The land that is given to them is uncultivable or water logged in hundreds of cases. Many more have not been given sufficient land. Many others have been given fragmented or encumbered land. Most sites do not have adequate drinking water or sanitation or health facilities. None of the sites have grazing land, fodder, or firewood facilities.

Every minister sitting in the conference room wanted to dig a hole to hide themselves. The aims should be to minimize displacement and promote, as far as possible, non-displacing or least displacing alternatives. We should also aim to ensure adequate rehabilitation packages and expeditious implementation of the rehabilitation process with the active participation of those affected. And also recognizes the need for protecting the weaker sections of the society.

This will help them and the government too.

Everyone just gaped and thought even though they knew the problem no one wanted to confront it at first and the second thing was no one had any solution over it but now they do have the best solution which they can't deny but can't process it even because it will affect their pockets.

Of course that no one had a question against it and even if someone had it was more like useless.

Prime minister was again satisfied with the result Anna gave. It always happens this way, his last hope is always from her. So, satisfied with the solution the Prime minister said "So now we don't have to take tension we got our solution. Governors secretary will prepare the draft and will send it to all of you and if any problem you think of is reasonable , we will discuss in our next meeting which will be held in two weeks"
