1 Wake up

"Argh! What?" Said J. "You're late for school, J, god, how do you even stay asleep even when it looks like you're just a mile away from the sun?" Mom looking irritated. "C'mon mom, it's just school, don't make a big fuss and give me 5 more minutes." Mom got so riled up she snatched J's quilt and tossed it on the floor, turned the AC off and started blasting her 1970s music, J got up and prepared as soon as he lost his comfort and headed down to get his breakfast in agony.

"Why are we having toast every morning, I've had better in my dreams." J whined. "J, you've gotta stop with the dream talk, this is getting too much, you know you aren't really eating when you're dreaming and i have no idea why you can actually compare real food and whatever kind of crap you can have in your dreams. Now, pack up and head to school you're gonna be late." After saying that, Mom went to get her stuff and headed to work. "This is a pain in the ass, even getting a perfect 4 GPA, i'm still being treated like i'm in need of education." J thought to himself.

As he dropped off his bus on the way to school, he saw his bully Rye, *push* "hey loser, hand it over" Rye demanded. "What do you want now Rye?" J asked. "Your money damn it or do you wanna get beaten up again but this time i assure you, your mother wouldn't recognise you." Rye threatened. "Take it take it." J succumbed. "That's more like it, you should give in every time i ask this of you and it would make your life easier." Rye smirked and strolled off happily. "I'll be back tomorrow for more money so remember, bring more of it." Everyone looked at J, some mocked him, some whispered to their friends but no one helped him up. J understands that he's under scholarship and wouldn't want to lose it over a daily 10 dollars pocket money. Another reason why J decided not to fight back was because as much as he dislikes his mother, she is his only family and he wouldn't want her to worry. "As usual, another pain in the ass but oh well, just gonna get it over and done with and I can then head home to bed." J sighed.
