Noctis

Darkness was all that surrounded, we began in darkness and we will die in darkness, except for those who dwell in it.

A girl drifted through the abyssal expanse, her dark chocolate hair floated as if it was in water, while her pale skin was a stark contrast to the darkness around her.

"Wake up."

"No.."

"You must wake up."

"No..I don't want to.."

"You must wake up, you must remember!"

The abyssal expanse reacted badly to this Voice's encouragement, black ink-like hands reached up and grabbed at her body which caused her to struggle and fight back. Then she awoke, but it wasn't what she was expecting, she was in a dimly lit cell, the cell was made of dark bricks and an odd soil-like mineral but it wasn't dirt and it was on fire. She slowly sat up and as her vision adjusted to the dim lighting, there was a figure in dark red and black armour.

"Ah..you're awake." The figure spoke, the voice was deep and with an odd accent that the girl couldn't recognize,"You've been asleep for a while, Little bird." She then spoke up, her voice was soft but with a hint of fear, "Who are you..?", her voice stuttered and stammered as she gazed up at the tall figure, he chuckled as he spoke once more, "My name is Malak, Little bird."

Then an explosion happened in the distance, the figure swore as a knight rushed in, "Sir Malak! There's been a jailbreak!","Damnit..I'll be back, Little Bird." The figure left and she glanced around the cell, then an explosion happened and she was knocked into the wall behind her as rubble fell on her. She coughed up dust as she tried to shove off the bricks that had fallen on her, blood trickled down her forehead as she stood up, "..H-Hello?!" She called out in vain as she heard fighting in the distance, then she heard a different, less scarier voice than Malak's,

"Hello Little Dove.."
