7 Chapter 7 - Heavenly Baby!

When Mai wanted to awaken the children, she stopped halfway. 'Well, I don't think I need to do that at all,' she thought to herself. The children had started to wake up to the noise made by the baby earlier. The silent night makes the baby's voice felt even louder.

"Can somebody please silence that brat!?" Said a wild brat himself. All he wanted was to just sleep quietly.

"Chill out bro, it's just a baby. You don't need to be that rude!" Someone calmed the angry kid down. Fortunately, it was a success!

"I'll do it! I'll do it!" Said a cheerful little girl. Without wasting any time, she quickly stands up from her bed and began to walk hastily to the giggling baby.

As if Mai was going to let that happen, she quickly stepped in front of the girl and they collided with each other. The girl was slightly taller than Mai. The girl felt like she had hit something and fell backward. As for Mai, she stood still, like a wall. A brick wall.

The little girl then covered her eyes with her hands and started crying. Every child in the room sat from their sleeping posture because of it and then began to look up in her direction, contemplating what they should do.

'It must be hurt,' Mai thought to herself, feeling a little awkward. 'Well, she's still a kid, so that's perfectly normal to cry because of that.' Mai felt sorry for the girl so she patted the girl's head. There are actually many privileges to this behavior. It was like throwing two birds with one stone. No, it's three birds!

First, she could calm the girl down and not feel too guilty. Second, she could experience what it was like to pat a loli's head. As for the third ...

The girl felt her head getting patted, and then began to stop crying. She moves the arms that covering her eyes to see who did that to her. She saw no one, but she still felt the warm head pat on her head. She then began to look around and took notice that everyone is still on top of their bed. 'Chotto matte,' she thought to herself. She then realized something and her eyes widened.

"A-" Before the girl could say anything, her lips were already sealed by Mai's soft, tiny hand. The other hand was used to restrain her body, holding the girl from running away. The little girl tries to struggle but it all just for naught. All that can be heard by her friends in the room was "Mffmfmmf!!!" Of course, they wouldn't understand what that means. They weren't experts.

Mai then carried the little girl with the hand that held her body, her other hand was still closing on the girl's mouth. If Mai can be noticed by others, the position that they're both in looks kinda disturbing. But because she couldn't, others could only perceive it as a little girl floating in the air unnaturally.

Mai then walks to the girl's bed with the girl in hand. The other occupants inside the room are in a trance. Pondering just what the heck are they're seeing in front of their eyes right now. When Mai stand near the bed, she gently put the girl on top of it.

When the little girl felt she wasn't restrained anymore, the first thing she did was roll off the bed. She then fell to the floor but quickly got up from her position then started running from the room while screaming hysterically about ghosts and such. Yep, the third is she can just do that to scare people.

Mai then got another idea. She picks up the pillow from the little girl's bed and quickly gets into a throwing position. Her target was a boy that the farthest away from her. The children took notice of the floating pillow.

The pillow was then thrown. "What the- *Pomf!*" Before the guy could react, he was already hit by the pillow. {Headshot!}

It was then that the mayhem starts. Every kid just quickly gets up from heir bed and runs toward the door of the room. They didn't care if it was really a ghost or not, they just want to get away from this place.

But as they approached the door, they all stopped moving. It was because of the person standing in front of their room. A Chinese middle-aged woman, with spiky red hair named Bull Ying, the most ferocious caretaker in the orphanage. She looks really buff for a woman. She also exudes a fighting aura. The children can see that she's carrying the little girl that runs out earlier on her shoulder, like a sack of potatoes.

"What do you guys playing at night? Go back to your bed! Now!" Bull shouted. "Or else..." She then licked her lips, she wasn't satisfied with just once, so she did it three times! The children were scared to death. Their feet became jelly-like.

"Why are you all standing there like an idiot!? I said go- *Pomf!*" A pillow found its way into Bull's face. {Double Kill!}. It slowly but surely slid down and fell to the ground, revealing Bull's minotaur-like angry face.

"Who did that?!" She shouted. "I swear if I find them... hehe..." A really wide scary grin plastered on her expression. One of the children fainted because of that. All the kids have the same thought 'Why did the orphanage hire this villain-like woman? Not only she's scary, but she also gave a lot of homework on top of that!'

"Step aside!" Bull said loudly. The children just do what they're told. Bull knows that the one who threw the pillow is not the children in front of her because she didn't see any of them carrying it before, so it must be coming from deep inside the room. She then makes her way there.

When Bull got in, with just a glance, she saw that there was no one else inside except for the baby that was still giggling. 'There's no way that it was this baby who does it, right?' she thought to herself.

But then she witnesses something unbelievable. The baby starts floating in a T-pose. Also, the tall street lamp in front of the window behind the baby that was off earlier because of a cable problem started to turn on, emitting bright light, but quickly covered up by the baby, giving the floating baby some sort of holy radiance.

Bull suddenly fell to her knees. Her oppressive aura that she had earlier was completely gone. Tears welled from her eyes. Then, with slow and steady movements, she knelt down.

The baby just looks at her in wonder.

Morning has come. Such an alluring day, the birds are singing while the sun smiles spreading warmth everywhere it goes. It's already the seventh day since Mai got her memory back. Tomorrow, she's going to go to school.

The day before this has been an exciting experience for her. Especially the havoc she has made in the orphanage. After the event on the second day, the orphanage starts to call help from the hero agencies. Mai didn't care much about the heroes though.

Hero agencies are pretty much the firms that employ heroes. Starting from the third day, the heroes keep on coming to patrol on the night at the orphanage. Mai was aware that she's stronger than those heroes, especially when the heroes called were the unpopular ones. She also knew that she will not get caught by them so she keeps on making incidents.

Mai sometimes pranked the heroes too. For example, on the third day, she borrowed (stole) a banana from the kitchen warehouse. She didn't know how it got there. She came there just to raid kitchen knives but she found the lone banana inside of a rather hidden drawer, so she just took the banana and planned to have it as a snack later on.

But when the night came, and the heroes started to patrol, Mai had an epiphany. The heroes that arrived are all male so... she kinda picks up both the banana and a scissor from her room and does the deeds in front of them while being invisible. One of them even fainted from the brutality she did to the poor banana. It became unrecognizable. On the next day, Bic's anguish scream can be heard by everyone in the entire orphanage.

The days after that is pretty much the same, Mai just does her daily missions, pull some gacha, continuing the incident, while experimenting with her abilities in her spare time, like her wind magic(Common) that she got for free and water magic(Common) that she got from the gacha at her fourth day.

After Mai got up from her sleep, she remembered the ability that she got yesterday and was so disgusted by the Werewolf transformation that was obtained by getting 2-star Werewolf on the gacha.

'Ai-chan, can I sell an ability?' She asked the system. She's too tired to asked it before. She wouldn't want to use that ability to strengthened herself even in a life and death situation so she better remove it now just in case. She wants to keep her cute appearance.
