Chapter 24 - Beautiful Day!

{Gacha ticket: 0 -> 1}

It's a beautiful day outside. And seeing the lit-up screen in front of her, filled Mai with hopes and dreams, even when she knew that it would be just another one or two-star characters. Nonetheless, she still braced herself to use it anyway.

{Congratulations! You have got 5-Stars character: (Yuyuko Saigyouji)}

{Added ability: -(Manipulation of Death),

-(Godly Fan Mastery)}

{Bonus attribute: -Hp(+1000), -Mp(+8000), -Physique(+50) ,-Magic(+1500), -Agility(+100), -Luck(+575)}

'E-Eeehhh!? Really?'

{Yeah! Do you want to use it? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)}

'I-I guess?'

{Congratulations! You have got 5-Stars character: (Mima)}

{Added ability: -(True Magic)}

{Bonus attribute: -Hp(+0), -Mp(+11250), -Physique(+0) ,-Magic(+2000), -Agility(+0), -Luck(+0)}

'I-Is this true?! Ai-chan, you're... not trying to prank me or anything, right? I thought she'll never appear!'

{Of course not, host! There's no way I would ever do that! ◡_⚈}

Mai wanted to show her gratitude toward the system. But, before she could do that, she heard a really loud but different system's voice, ringing inside her head.

[H#st! Wax3 U9! Wax$ v9!]

'Huh?' Mai was confused.

[#0$7! VV4ke u9! 1t'$ 4l59AdY 5 0'6L0ck iπ 7he nn0Rπiπ&!]

'Wh-What is it?' The sounds were blurry. She still can't hear it very well.

[HOST!]

But it was now very clear. She felt like she had solved the puzzle.

'Is... Is this all just a dream?! no! No! NOo! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!'

It was then that the Mai in the real-world slumped on her bed, gasping for air.

[I-I'm sorry host, I think I sho-]

"No, it was me who asked you to wake me up at this period. There's no need for you to apologize Ai-chan..." Mai said non-telepathically. She can't do that with her currently messed-up mind.

[A-Also, host... My consolation! (⇀‸↼‶)]

"..."

'AaAaAaAaAa!!!!!'

↗↘↗↘↗↘↗↘↗↘

One week has passed since she went to U.A. highschool to attend their entrance exam. Since then, Mai was just been doing what she usually does. However, she began to make an effort to try and live a more healthy way of life.

Again, it's a beautiful day outside. The light of dawn seeped into her apartment room. Mai rubbed her bleary eyes and walked to the window. She can see a pearly glow. The rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky. Golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene. It was a stunning view to others but barely got an okay response from her. Mai had already calmed down a little.

She then went toward the toilet to do {Cencored!}. After that, she washes her face before she goes back into her fluffy bed and lays herself down once more. Opening her inventory, she chooses a dress that she would want to wear for today.

Also, there are no pads inside of her inventory. She didn't purchase them at all. Mai prided her real one as the most perfectly balanced things in the entire universe, and didn't see the need to change them. Naturally, it's not because she would be really embarrassed if someone were to found out about it or anything.

She then clicked on a beautifully designed kimono with the same color as the clear blue sky, filled with red and pink petals. She's been using it for more than a hundred times already. She only had a total of 7 kimonos. After the initial 5, she bought 2 more to be in accordance with seven days a week.

Of course, she didn't forget to alter her hair into the black-colored one before she stood up and walks toward her apartment room's door.

Why would she go outside so early in the morning? Naturally, it was to go jogging.

Not like someone... Yeah, SOMEONE!

It was the system, of course... Who else is there? Mai thus embarked on her little journey after she wears her slippers.

She had started doing this activity for the past few days. That's what she meant by a more healthy way of life. It was not just to cope up in her room almost all day and night. At least, she does something outside other than doing her mission and went to her orphanage.

Talking about her orphanage. Most of the time, she went there only to check out for some (un)volunteers for her daily missions and her joyous (human) experiments.

Even if she didn't take revenge toward the children of the orphanage, at least they must compensate her with some sort of assistance, right?

Most of her experimentation was on her ability to manipulate emotions. From the detailed version of the appraisal, she concluded, not only can her ability bestow different kinds of emotions into someone, but it can also pile up on the same emotion, making it stronger.

She only needed to think of Double, Triple, etc, before the chosen emotion. For example; Double-Happiness, Triple-Sadness.

She has to do that because she can't cast out the same emotion twice. But the problem for this was that the Mp required to use them expanded exponentially for each stack increased, making it much more costly to use.

Of course, Mai only uses positive emotion in her experiment. The orphanage would be abandoned if she were to do otherwise. Again, That's why it was called joyous (human) experiments.

It was just sad that she can't use her ability to perceive someone else's emotion. Her ability was not yet complete. It was a powerful ability that was given to her for free. So, it makes sense that it wasn't perfect. She needed to earn the real one from the gacha to accomplish that.

Back to Mai.

[Host, watch the front! It was 'that' creature's territory! Be careful! (⊙﹏⊙)]

Mai can see a very deserted road right in front of her. She knew why it happened. That's because she had already gone through this area multiple times.

'Don't worry, Ai-chan! You already know me... It's all going to be fine!' She reassured the system telepathically.

The road is one of the most dangerous areas in the city. But not because it was filled with thugs, villains, or even haunted by a vengeful spirit. People can easily learn why it was dangerous, when they tilted their heads a little and looked upward. Hence, Mai performed just that.

'They're already here... huh?' In just one glance, she can discern hundreds, no, thousands of *them* lingering around. Some of them perched on the electric wire, while the others were busy becoming glider wannabe. They were just happily chirp-charping with each other, at least, until Mai came near. They recognized her appearance.

This area might be considered a dead zone to ordinary people. But for Mai, who was a Touhou player that even survived Gengetsu R*pe Time, getting through without a scratch was nothing but a child's play.

"Well then, let's dance..."

She initiated first by rushing straight forward, but not with a very fast speed. Doing that would be a fatal mistake because it would only make it harder to react toward the surroundings.

She then took notice of a tiny white liquid, falling from above. Predicting exactly where it would drop, Mai instantly stopped on her track. Then, with her quick thinking, she hastily took two steps back to dodge the aftermath.

*Plop!*

*Splash!*

It was then that Mai witnesses a huge shadow looming on the ground. Hence, she glances up once more, only to see *them* crowding out to cooperate with each other, so that they can win against her this time. From what she remembered, they didn't do that when she came here previously.

Mai just sighed flatly.

"Yare Yare Daze..."

She thus put on her demon mask and changes her hair back into the lavender-colored one just for precaution, before she fearlessly strode forward.

It was the beginning of an epic battle between 1 and 10.000!

↗↘↗↘↗↘↗↘↗↘

While Mai was busy doing her strange things, in the U.A. Highschool principal's office, a humanoid mouse and also the school's principal, Nezu, can be seen sitting on a couch, enjoying his hot coffee, while watching a cartoon from his Ipad titled Jom and Terry.

He laughed out loud and even coughed incoherently when he saw the scene where the mouse eat the cat's inner organs until there's nothing left.

Nevertheless, his mood was shortly ruined when he heard someone knocking on his door. He promptly removed his search history before turning off his Ipad.

"You may come in!" Nezu said out loud with a prestigious voice.

*Queeeeck!*

The sound of doors opening can be heard. From there, came an attractive, curvaceous, tall woman with long, spiky, dark-purple hair that reaches below her waist. The woman also wore a costume that resembles a dominatrix outfit, composed of a skin-tight white bodysuit.

It was the R-Rated Hero: Midnight. She's a pro hero as well as a teacher at U.A. High School who teaches modern hero art history. Nezu's irritation instantly disappeared when he saw it was her who's coming.

"Mr. Principal, the practical test results are out! Moreover, I have bad news to tell you!" A proficient aura can be felt from Midnight's voice.

"Alright, give me the results document first..." Nezu said warmly. He also gave out a gentle smile. But almost all the teachers in U.A. know it was fake. Even then, no one dares to say it out loud.

The hero Midnight just smiled back and quickly gave him the paper. On it, were the names of all the students who had passed the entrance exam. He examines the content while sipping his coffee.

1st, Mai Waifu

2nd, Eijiro Kirishima

3rd, Ochaco Uraraka

4th, {Not Important}

...

39th, Katsuki Bakugou

40th, {The only difference is 0}

While in the middle of his reading, the coffee that he just drank burst out of his mouth, spilling on Midnight's hero costume. It's not Heroic anymore, it's H-erotic.

However, Nezu's mind was still focused on the test result. Especially on Vigilant Yaksha's. No, not her name. No, not her rank. But how much points she obtained.

1st, Mai Waifu

Villain Points: 40

Rescue Points: 40

Even though he's not always staring at the viewing screen that captured her inside of it. He occasionally observes what she does, and not one bit, did he saw her doing something heroic. So, how come she reaped that considerably huge amount of Rescue Points?

"Could you please explain this to me?" Nezu asked the wet Midnight while pointing at Mai's Rescue Points. She can only grudgingly answered.

"From the info that I got, the AI who gave the score reckoned that she's only protecting her friend from the dangerous robots!"

"Huh?" After he let that out, silence preoccupied the room. He then chuckled out loud. "HAHAHAHAHA!!! That's a good one!"

"It's not a joke Mr. Principal! Also, the result for the top 10 students got accidentally uploaded into the internet! So we can't change them anymore!" Informed Midnight.

"..."

"..."

"Really?" Asked Nezu with uncertainty, he wasn't sure if he wanted to hear the answer or not.

"Yeah!" Midnight responded.

'Well... whatever! At least she could now join U.A. and perhaps, change her profession into a hero, in the future...' Nezu thought to himself. But then he felt like he has forgotten something. 'Oh yeah!'

"Alright, is that the bad news that you wanted to inform me? The one where the result accidentally got uploaded into the internet?" Nezu wants to clarify.

"Unfortunately, no! Sir!" The principal sweatdropped when he heard that.

"Then what is it?" He had a feeling that he wouldn't be going to like on what's coming next.

"It's... Umm... where should we delivered her acceptance letter to?"

"...HOLLY, FAQ!"

↗↘↗↘↗↘↗↘↗↘

Mai had successfully gone through that hellish road without getting any hit, once more. She had also already changed her appearance back into her fake ones. Right now, she was sitting inside of a family restaurant near her rented apartment. She always went there for breakfast since she began to execute her new morning routine.

"Excuse me, I will have order..." She called for a waiter to come to her seat. The nearest one hastily walks up to her.

"O-Oh!!! Is it the usual, Your Highness?" The waiter asked her with full of reverence.

"Nhn..." Mai mumbled while nodded slowly.

"Alright! Your order is my command, Your Highness!" The waiter then jogs toward the kitchen and reports her order to the chef. Giggles can be heard from nearby customers.

Again, why would she always became famous everywhere she goes. Is it that easy to become popular?

At first, they jokingly called her with that nickname because of her princess-like demeanor and appearance. At that time, she just played along with their shenanigans because she has nothing to do and needed to wait for her food order anyway.

Turns out, it somehow quickly became the talk of the neighborhood. Many people even came to the restaurant just to see her eat in the morning. Mai assumed they were just too bored out of their lives to the point that they needed to do that.

The only reason she's still visiting this restaurant was because the food they make here comes close to rivaling the ones made from the U.A. cafeteria. They're absolutely delicious. Oh, talking about food...

"Here it is, Your Highness! This humble servant hath brought to you thy cuisine! Please enjoy!" The earlier waiter gently put her food and drink on top of the table before he saluted at her and went to do his other chores. Mai's eyes were practically shining while looking at her ordered stuff.

She then remembered about her dream today. Even though she knew that it wasn't the actual system, she's just too petty to let that off.

'Ai-chan~' She called out the system. 'Do you want to take a bite? Oh wait, you can't! Ehe~! Time to dig in!' Mai started to elegantly eat the dishes because she still wants to play as a princess. Ignoring the-

[o(╥﹏╥)o]

-in the background.

The food that she ordered was called tsukemen, it's a superior version of ramen. While for her drink, it was a glass of milk. She still remembered that milk can be a useful tool to help kids grow to their potential height. But, if someone were to ask her why she chooses that as a drink, she would tell them because it was healthy.

While eating her food, she glances out from the nearby window. The day outside is still beautiful as it is. It would be better if it still continues for a much longer time. Maybe, an eternity...

Inside of Bakugou's household, Katsuki Bakugou stood right in front of a sink. He doesn't know why, but he somehow felt something's different about himself. But maybe, that was merely his imagination. He then washes his face and takes a good look at the mirror. He saw his normal grumpy expression.

No matter how he looks at his own reflection, it was still him, Katsuki Bakugou.

"Tch! It must be that woman's doing!"

Yup, this chapter got bamboozled. And I found out what's the cause of it. It's in the comment section.

(Nevermind, the restriction was gone)

Also, I wanted to name the title as 'Calm Before the Storm', but it just wouldn't follow the pattern.

Anyway, hope you guys had a beautiful and wonderful day!
