9 Entrance exam

The White Valkyrie academy was not just a few buildings. It was a super big territory with more than ten training grounds. They even have their own forest and mountain. It's more like a little city. Their influence as one of the five big academies is super big. They are also the most popular academy with more than two thousand new students every year. Holding a martial arts tournament with this many candidates is impossible, but they test their newcomers every year somehow.

Daniel currently stood beside the parking lot and thought about how will they test his martial arts skills, when a student in the uniform of the White Valkyrie academy came up to him. He looked at Daniel with a questioning gaze. Daniel was indeed a bit suspicious with his hoodie and sunglasses on his head. The student then asked him after a few minutes.

"Excuse me, are you here to take the entrance exam?"

"Yes" Daniel answered and looked at the student.

"Can you help me somehow? I don't know where can I take the entrance exam and how."

"Ohh, you don't have to worry about that, the entrance exam is different in every year. No one knows where can they take it currently. Take a look around and you will notice that students like me currently giving out papers to everyone who want's to take the entrance exam. I'm also here to give you one. Take this."

The student gave a piece of paper to Daniel. There was a number, and a location on this piece of paper. The number was #435 and the location was wooden pole training ground.

"You can find this location inside the academy. Your number is 435 so you still have around 2 hours. The White Valkyrie academy wishes you good luck."

The student told Daniel the important things and disappeared after that. He used an advanced martial arts technique. The name of this technique is shadow steps and this technique is often used during assassinations. It's a not a beginner technique and not everyone can learn it. The student also used the technique almost perfectly. This shows that the White Valkyrie is not just a name.

Daniel looked around and saw the same scene happening almost everywhere. Students disappearing after giving out papers. A lot of people became surprised after that. These people probably never saw real martial arts and their chances of getting into the academy is not very big. Daniel then decided to find the wooden pole training ground inside the White Valkyrie academy.

He walked through the gate and followed the map on the paper. He noticed that a lot of people heading towards his direction. The White Valkyrie students probably gave them the same location. A short girl with a shoulder length black hair and blue eyes walked up to him. This girl looked very innocent as if she doesn't know where she is. She is around 12 years old and 100% not someone who want's to take the entrance exam.

"Hello uncle, are you here to take the entrance exam? Can you help me find my big sister?"

Daniel looked at the little girl with a surprised face. He was probably the most suspicious person here with his full black clothes, yet this little girl decided to ask him out of everyone.

"Yup, you can call me Daniel. Where do you lost your sister?"

"I lost her a moment ago. We got separated when the crowd started moving towards the academy."

"I see, a student from the academy gave your big sister a paper. There was a location on that paper. Do you remember that location?"

"Yes, It was wooden training ground!" The little girl said excitedly. Daniel smiled at her when she said this.

"Ohh, you mean the wooden pole training ground. Then just follow me. I have to go to that place to take my entrance exam, just like your sister. You will probably find your sister there, but you don't have to worry even if you don't find her. I'm sure there will be someone from the school who can tell you if you sister took the entrance exam." Daniel showed her the paper in his hand after that. The girl confirmed the location and the two of them contined towards the training ground after that.

Daniel followed the map and currently walked around a mountain. There were around 100 other people who followed the same direction as him and the little girl. He currently walked on old stone stairs towards the top of the mountain. He saw that some people were already tired and just shook his head. He started his training a week ago, but these stone stairs were nothing to him. The system boosted up his training though. The little girl also followed him without a problem which was surprising. The two of them started chatting and Daniel found out that the little girl is a martial artist and started training ever since she was five years old.

"Daniel, are you also a martial artist?"

"Silly girl, of course I am. Otherwise I wouldn't try the entrance exam."

"Are you strong Daniel?" Daniel didn't expect this question and started thinking. He defeated everyone whom he fought till now, but this question was still hard to answer. He knew that immortals exist and gods too. He's probably very weak compared to them. In the end he decided to give the most accurate answer.

"I just thought that I was strong."

"Eeeeh what does that mean Daniel?"

Daniel didn't answer because they arrived at the top of the mountain. A few people were already there when they arrived. The big group of newcomers surrounded a giant lake. Countless wooden poles were standing out of this giant lake. A girl stood on one of the wooden poles. Her shoulder length hair was black and her eyes were blue. She looked pretty, but his eyes were filled with worry. Suddenly the little girl beside him shouted.

"SIIISTEEEEER"
