Phone rang, she stares at the phone and saw that it was Gabriella her friend,she answered excitedly

📱yea, its been long,.. and my dear work is fine and stressful too. I just took two days off because I'm feeling feverish📱she sniffs

The door bell rang, iruoma rushed and opened the door , she saw only tobenna her neighbour's son

"Auntie good afternoon"tobenna greeted

"Good day tobe" she greeted back

"One auntie gabriel said she's looking for you" at that moment gabriel peeped towards the entrance quietly and there eyes met at once

"Oh my goodness, jeez gab gab," she moved to give her friend a warmly hug, while tobenna made his move to go back to her mother"tobe, wait, why didnt you go to school today"iruoma asked tobenna

"My stomach was disturbing me, so my teacher then gave me permission to go home" looking at her with so much innocent in his face

"Alright sorry okay?"moving in with gabriel to close her door , she turns"erm tobe, around evening you come okay?" Door closed as gabriel was looking around iruoma's apartment. That was the kind of person she was, she admires and talk immediately without blinking

"Woaw babe you're really in good hands" looking around with so much excitement on her face

"I don't understand" seems she was lost in what Gabrielle was talking about

"Damn! Look at you babe, you're glowing like your house..... I swear Chinedu has taste... Look. At . Your . House " she turned to take a look at iruoma, but iruoma only laughed and moved to the refrigerator to get her friend a soft drink" babe at institution back then, Chinedu wasn't like this oo" gab mocked

"You're mad gab" both of them laughed."owk, take this"extending the soft drink to gab as she sat on the chair" i haven't cooked, so please manage with me okay?"

"Well i ain't doing managing stuff with you, so we better move to the kitchen and cook something nice, I can't come and starve myself at my friend's house. No way at all" she stood up to grab iruoma's hand for her to take her to the kitchen. When they got to the kitchen, Gab loved the way kitchen was set, it was well to do. They started cooking, after one hour thirty minutes the food was ready and was placed on a dinning for them to eat."babe how's your husband, i nearly forgot to ask of him"

"He's still the handsome and vibrant man you know"iruoma praised her husband

"Wow, you're so lucky to get hold of this man"gab congratulate her again

"Indeed"iruoma frowned as she recalled the incident that happened in the morning

"What's your problem? This man is whatever any lady could dream of marrying. So don't give the face" gab shunned her as she reach for water

"Yea i know"iruoma replied with a long face

"Then why this face" gab asked looking at her.

Iruoma manage to open up"We had a serious issue going on now" bowing down her face as she dropped the spoon she was holding

"What's the problem"gab asked with curiosity reading on her face

"My husband told me that he's not ready for kids now, that he needs to be financially stable for that"iruoma explained

"Well... Hmm... wow" she exhaled "i believe that he has reasons for that. Most families normally adopt that kind of plan. It depends on how much he collects or makes every day. So on that issue my friend, there is nothing to worry about. The serious issue there is for you to know yourself, i mean, he should be cautious before you conceived and you know what it calls for. That you people have to abandon the plan and face your fate... So my dear, you need not to worry over the matter. What's there is for you to pray that whenever he's ready,that there won't be complications" gab said as she reached for toothpick to remove some particles in her teeth

"That's the problem"she taps gab gently"I'm pregnant"

"Oh my God!..... Have you discussed it with your husband?" Gab asked so concerned

"Yea ,but he said that I should get rid of it" she said as another tears was forming in her eyes

"What!"gab half yelled"

"Yes gab. This thing happened few months ago and now this one too" iruoma said as she allowed the tears to rolled down her cheek

"Are you telling me that you aborted your babies for him?"she asked as fear gripped her spine

"My dear I'm just tired... I wanted to be a good wife to him" she bent her head in shame

"Oh, you want to be a good wife to him, whereas you've turn to be a bad mother to your unborn kids" looking at her with pity

"You won't understand gab, you..."

" oh Shut up iruoma! Shut up.... Just hear what's oozing out from your mouth.... Had it been occurring to you that you're a married woman? You're putting your life at risk! ....Do you want to kill yourself? Oh God" gab shook her head in pity

"I told him but he won't listen to me. Now he said that, if I want to keep the child that i should be ready to be on my own, that I should be ready to go back to my family"more tears flowed down her cheeks. She even doubt that she still have tears left

"What? How could he be so callous and mean to you... How come he became so cold like this..... Does he even value you at all?"many questions popped out from gab's mind but it couldn't be answered like that"babe keep this child, don't mind what he will say to you, one day he will still come back to his rightful sense" gab begged" I'm sure he doesn't mean what he said to you, but even if he's serious, then come to my house" she paused"but wait a minute, why must Chinedu say that he will not father a child now. Upon all his riches? Does he wants to own the world before accepting children?"

"I wonder oh my sister" iruoma laments

"Leave him my dear, he will come back to his sense. But if he insist, then come to my house. Enough space is there. I know that definitely he will beg you to come back"gab assured her

"But i don't want to leave my husband. He's all I have got. I pray that everything will be fine"she wipes her tears with the back of her palm

"Who's telling you to leave him.... This girl why are you so dull like this... This man doesn't know the pain it will cause you..... If you get rid of this one, surely you will still remove another until God touches him"gab warned

"I wanted to tell you these just to ease my pain but it's like you don't want to help me out. Anyway i have heard you... You know what?.... I can't loose my husband just because of this baby, trust me i will never forgive my self" she stood as she arranged there plate and heads to kitchen

"Are you not afraid of God? Gab questioned as she couldn't believe the person she was staring at

" please don't make me feel guilty here. Don't you understand the saying that LOVE CONQUERS ALL?.. . My dear i love my husband and I don't want to see him unhappy" iruoma said as she kept washing her plates

"Anyway I'm leaving oh, come and see me off. But babe think about this before doing an ungodly act" gab picks her hand bag and iruoma saw her off, and she locks the door,then gave out a deep sigh and sat lazily at the chair. Many thoughts kept running through her mind until she dose off.
