12 Chapter Twelve

IRUOMA

I heard a knock at the door, i went to opened it , lo and behold i saw my husband with gab's gateman

"Ma, this man is looking for you"

"Okay, you can go" i replied, ushering my husband inside. I saw the way he was looking at me, i pretended as if I didn't notice.... I was playing hard to get."you don't want to sit?" I asked because he was standing at the entrance

He cleared his throat" i don't need to sit.."bringing out something, seems as an envelope and gave it to me

I opened the envelope, to my greatest surprise, it was a letter for divorce" what's this?" With my trembling hand, i stretched it to him for an answer

"See, let's just end it here please" handing me a pen"you need to sign this papers, so that both of us will be free" he was saying all this without looking me on the face

"Please... Can you give me like five minutes, let me use the bathroom" i requested because I was loosing it..... And He obliged..... I handed him the paper and went upstairs. I thought i will fell from the stairs because my leg was so heavy for me to carry up... I went to my room and lay on the bed. I wanted to compose myself together .But it wasn't happening, my heart was pounding heavily.... My whole world, my whole life has ended. Was this how I'm going to suffer for the rest of my life? I tried to scream but I couldn't cause I don't want him knowing my status that moment. I paced up and down as tears dropping uncontrollable. I felt like dying, i felt like the earth to open and swallow me. I dialed gab's number but it weren't connecting through, maybe because she was in the village, there are possibilities of no network. I managed to brought myself together. Wiped my tears. And Went downstairs
