9 Change in environment

After helping Sasha to go into a deep slumber, Aaric went downstairs to see off Alleyn.

"Look currently in her state, these things are quite normal for a patient to suffer these symptoms after waking up from such a long period of vegetative state. You know two months back when I did a checkup on her body she was not improving at all, even though her outer body was healed but her inner organs still need some time to recuperate."

Alleyn paused to look at his friend and continued.

"But don't worry about that much. I will give a few bottles of tonics to her, just make sure she drinks them regularly. Also few vitamins and iron tablets would be able to boost her stamina and heal her body internally. "

Aaric did not speak even a single word, just kept on nodding his head. Looking at his friend's reaction Alleyn sighed helplessly. He patted his shoulder and said in a comforting vice.

"With me around, what you have to worry about. I will do every possible treatment that could help in bringing back sis-in-law's memory. You don't worry, it's just a matter of a few days or weeks. She will regain her memory very soon."

Hearing those words, Aaric felt a bit better but again he did not reply. Alleyn shook his head and just walked towards the main door.

On their way to the main door, suddenly Alleyn suggested something about a change in environment for Sasha.

"I think you should take her out somewhere tomorrow. It would be good for health and of course she needs a continuous change in environment. If she stays at home for a longer time, she will feel more sick." On hearing these suggestions from his friend, Aaric nodded his head in agreement.

"You are right. It would be better for her to go outside and breath fresh air instead of staying at home. She loves the sea and beach side. So I think it would be better if we go there. You can come too."

"Umm... Me.. I don't think it would be possible. You know even though I am free, I need to ask Amanda whether she is free or not."

"It seems I am not the only one who follows his wife's orders. Huh." Aaric said in a teasing tone. And his teasing made a ripple to flash across Alleyn's face. He quickly retorted with a serious voice.

"Do you think only your wife has the ability to tuck your down. Every man in this world is afraid to deny this fact." Although they both bickered like kids but still it made sense.

"Okay fine. You can just ask Amanda if she could accompany Sasha there. I am sure she will agree. After all they have been friends for more than a decade now.

"Hmm... Sometimes what a person needs for recovery is just to have a reliable shoulder near him or her. Every pain and problem disappears. Hey.. why are you giving me such a look? I mean she doesn't remember so if she could spend time with a girl would be a better thing. Just jump to conclusions and stop giving me those looks."

"...Do you really think I would even spare a glance at you.I just like to stare at my wife." Aaric hauntingly lifted his chin up while spilling out those words.

Alleyn was too lazy to argue with this henpecked husband, so he quickly waved his hand and got inside the car. He rolled the window down and gave a confirmation.

"Then tomorrow's plan is done. I will arrange everything. You both just have to be on time." With these words he drove his car out of the mansion gates.

Aaric did not move from that place and lifted his head to look up at the dark sky. He sighed softly before lowering his gaze and smiled bitterly. He turned around and headed upstairs towards the bedroom to bid her good night.

Carefully Aaric opened the door so that her sleep would not get disturbed due to the sound. With light footsteps he sat on the edge of the bed and looked at her with tenderness. He gently tucked a few of the hair strands that were hovering over her forehead. He planted a warm kiss on her forehead and lifted her blanket up to her chin. He caressed her head and said with a hoarse voice.

" You don't know how terrified I was when you did not wake up after three months. The doctor said if you could not wake up in those three critical months, there would be very less chances of you waking up. I felt I am going to lose you forever… "

"Well anyways at least you are alive. It is far much better than losing you forever. At least I can see you in front of my eyes, talking, smiling, rather than just having memories of these moments. No matter how much time it takes, how much effort it would take for me to get back your memory. I will do everything. And no matter for how long you are going to suffer this, I am there for you. I will wait for you for my entire life. Good night my dear wifey."

With these last sentences, he stood up from the bed and took out a few bedsheets and pillows from the cupboard. He strode towards the couch and spread one of the bed sheet then laid down. With the other one he covered himself and glanced at the direction of the bed for the last time before closing his eyes.
