10 Night

"Vina?!!"

Vina approached Deva with closed eyes as well as his bright smile. Vina grabbed Deva's hands and said, "I knew you were coming tonight, thank god I thought you were right!"

"Eh? How can you attend today's dinner?!" Asked Deva by holding Vina's hand back.

Lewis whose first position was alongside Deva, now stepped back into a few steps behind Deva. Maybe Lewis doesn't want to bother someone who's dating.

Vina opened her eyes, "Of course, since my father is an old friend of your father's, then my family is invited to tonight's dinner. He said 'to cement family ties'." Said Vina with the wink of his eye.

"Hahhhh?!!!! Since when does that dad have any friends?!!" Deva said in disbelief.

Vina tilted her head, "Daddy's? My dad or your dad?" Said Vina innocently.

Deva patted his own forehead, he forgot that his girlfriend is so innocent.

"I mean my father, Vina baby!" Said Deva by holding back his anger.

"Ooo.. Father endures Of course they're friends. they've been friends since the beginning, hmm.. I forgot! Uncle Well!".

"Yes, miss?".

"What time is it?".

"Almost 9:30 P.M., Miss."

"Hwaa, bad! Brother told me to come back before 9:30! Umm...Dev, we'll talk later. I'm afraid my brother will find me if I don't get back right now, Bye!".

- Cupp! -

Vina kissed Deva's right cheek and ran away with her eyes bowed. Maybe she's blushing.

"A-ah! Be careful!". Deva cried out to Vina who has passed far.

Deva wiped the cheeks that Vina just kissed, she blushed until she lost her balance. Lewis behind Deva, quickly seized Deva's nearly fallen body. Deva has really been made dizzy by Vina! Lovesick, maybe. Deva is crazy about love and Lewis is trying to straighten Deva out of whatever crazy thoughts she has about Vina.

Lewis shook Deva's body a little hard, but it still didn't bring Deva to his senses. Lewis waved his hand in Deva's eyes, but still he was unconscious from his imaginary world. And Lewis ended up dropping Deva so hard, maybe he got upset.

Deva is winging in pain, "Ouch! F*cking Lewis! It hurts!". Deva said in protest tone.

Lewis sniffed, "If Young Master continue to dream of overtaking the bridge, I will not hesitate to throw you from the top floor to this floor." Lewis said in a serious tone.

"Yes, yes! I apologize, inspector. Next time don't even joke too much yeah, it gives me goose..!"

Lewis shakes his head, "Threats are shortcuts to make the Lord serious. I'm sorry, let's meet Master John and the others, soon the media will be covering you and the rest of Alexandria." Said Lewis by extending his tambourine.

"Another family of Alexandria? Is the f*cking cousin coming?" Ask Deva as she walked back to her Grandmother and Father.

Lewis gets his suit up and then catches Deva in the back and says, "F*cking cousin?" Ask lewis.

"Huh! Forget it, then you'll find out who the f*cking cousin is!". Deva said by hitting his arm against his arm.

"Hm.. As you wish."

After that Deva and Lewis walked toward the counter that John, Jennies, and... A woman her Father's age, maybe.

Deva pursed his brow, 'Who is that woman next to Daddy? Are the rumors true? Hm.. Let's see how I'm going to ruin the show with a bang!'. Deva said in his heart.

Lewis has come back to justify Deva's appearance and he doesn't want Granny Jennies cleaning up any longer.

"It's very tidy. Even if it's messy, my face is still pretty." Said Deva by blinking one of his eyes.

Lewis subdued his body, "Yeah, Young Master May go now."

Deva nodded her head, the look in her eyes emitted an aura of confidence. Deva strengthened his heart to accept all the realities that will come after this. Deva had calculated from the beginning, he had promised his heart and mind to keep trying to accept the reality of his father's relationship with a 'Woman'other than his deceased mother.

'I can do it!' Deva said in his heart, to give himself a little encouragement.

Deva approached the desk that had been swarming with news media. Grandma noticed Deva's presence even though it was 13 feet from the spot she was sitting on, stood up and told the whole press to give way to her grandson.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen." Address Deva to all the journalists who have given her the way.

"John.." Call grandma to bring her attention to Deva.

"Eh..? Oh dev! Relief already? Come sit down, I have so much to tell you." John said by pulling Deva's hand.

"Don't touch me." Mumbled Deva.

"Did you say something?".

"Um, no. Maybe you heard wrong." Reply Deva by showing his forced smile.

John turned his body over to all the reporters, "For the next hour you can all enjoy the refreshments at this restaurant, I will treat you all. I'd like to discuss some issues with my family." John said by raising his voice to reach all the journalists.

"Night, Deva.." Greet a woman sitting next to John.

"Night." Deva back in a cold voice.

"Grandma.."

"Yes, Dev?"

"Don't forget to order my favorite food yes? and also the extra cheese toppings, ok?" Deva said by showing his spoilt nature.

"All right, all right, Granny's gonna order it for the pampered Granddaughter."

John and the woman next to him just stared at deva with puzzled glances, why? They were both confused about Deva's favourite food, until Grandma went to great lengths to order it.

John clears his throat softly, "Dev, what can I get you?"

"..." Deva flinch, he lazy to answer John's questions if there is no Grandmother next to him.

"Dev? Did you hear me?" Said John, raising his voice a little.

"..." Again and again Deva ignored his Father's calls, until grandma came back and sat right next to Deva.

"What's going on?". Ask Grandma.

Deva raised his hand, "I don't know, sorry for troubling you!". Said Deva by hugging his grandmother's arms.

Grandma stroked Deva's hair, "It's okay. You're still in recovery, so no fatigue. Incidentally grandma wants to try your favorite too."

"Oh, really? I hope you likes it!" Deva said.

"Ahem!"

Deva and grandma looked over at John.

"Dev, I want to introduce you to someone... He.. -"

Deva cut off his Father's words, "Oh. No matter." Deva said with his cool.

"Deva!" John shouted at Deva.

Deva was a little surprised, because this is the first time he yelled at his father.

Deva stood from her seat, "Don't shout. Here I don't care about anyone except Grandma." Said Deva by bowing his head.

"Don't go too far!".

"John! Enough. Don't make the atmosphere worse! And Dev, sit down with Lewis first. Calm your mind and your heart, ok? Let Grandma take care of your Dad." Grandma said trying to calm Deva down.

Deva stayed where she was, "14 years ago.. Where was Dad when grandma needed you to raise me in Singapore?". Shouted Deva.

"Dev, it's been idle. Calm your temper. Lewis!"

Lewis nodded, "Young Master, please sit with me." Lewis said by pulling Deva's hand.

Deva pulled away from Lewis's hand, "Six years after that, where's Dad at grandma's time and I going back to London?". Shouted Deva.

Instantly the restaurant was very quiet. The entire press, the Alexandrian Family, and all of John's coworkers looked at Deva. They all stopped their dinner activities, some started to worry, some became more and more curious, some of them turned a blind eye, and some of the reporters reported the incident without anyone's knowledge.

"Dev, enough!". John snapped.

"Haha, funny. You told me to stop, but the way you made me get emotionally ignited." Said Deva with a slightly quivering voice.

Grandma and Lewis looked down their eyes, unable to look into the eyes of those who saw this unexpected display.

- Prok - Prok - Prok -

A man behind Deva patted his hand and then went over to the table that Deva was sitting on.

"Very good.. Well done!".
