20 Lovebirds

Nickolas' POV

Alaia and I are on the way down from my office floor after i finished attending to some things. Am looking at Ally through the mirror of the elevator wall in front of us. I want so badly to kiss her again, but we have two guys from my security team with us and i dont think she will like that very much.

I run my hand through my hair fustrated, i dont know what is happening to me. It seems ever since she walked into my life, an avalanche of emotions i dont understand collapsed on me that day and i cant seem to shake them off.

I recall the state i found her in earlier today on the floor in the closet.....i can't even think about that without wanting to smash something. And those marks on her face. Definately a slap mark. I don't understand why she would want to protect the identity of the person who had the guts to such a thing to her, but i have a pretty good idea who it is and i will deal with them later.

We arrive at the hospital past 6pm. Ofcourse her whole family is there.

"Ally" Zara exlaims.

Her other sister gets up too and they both rush to hug her.

"Hey guys" she says hugging them back. Her Mum comes to hug her too.

"Hai my love... How are you.. Are you ok? "

"Yes am fine.. Hows Dad doing?" she responds.

"Much better, the doctor says he can go home tomorrow." Her other sister explains.

"Ok.. And you guys? "

"Honey, don't worry about us.. We are the ones that need to worry about you". 'Mama bear' says.

Tssst.. I am tempted to scoff loudly.

"Can you take me to him" she asks.

Her other sister Sienna takes hold of her arm and starts to lead her inside. I start to follow behind them.

"Family only" she says turning to face me.

"I am, she's my wife" i reply, making her frown in disagreement.

"Alright then, you are not wanted inside then...brother inlaw" she sneers.

This little family will drive me crazy. Her father pisses me off with his very existence, Alaia is fucking me up with all these lustful, obsessive feelings i have developed for her, her mother dared to slap me yesterday and this one here wants to test my patience and civility...I wonder what the youngest one will do next.

"Nick, do you mind? Can you give us a minute" Ally asks in that sweet voice of hers.

I quickly look over the faces of her family and see the surprise on their faces at her casual address of my name. Have fun explaining that wife.

I sigh audibly. "I'll be back in a couple of minutes " i say, unable to refuse her.

Alaia's POV

"Nick? Its Nick now? " Sienna asks as soon as Nick is no longer within hearing distance, surprised at how i addressed him. It just slipped out before i could even think about it.

"It just came out..are you gonna take me or not?" i respond. She says nothing and walks me inside the ward but i know this is not over yet.

"Hi honey. How are you? Are you ok? Dad asks upon seeing me.

"I should be asking you that" i say taking his hand in mine and kissing his cheek.

"Am good... Dont know why they are still keeping me here" he whines making me chuckle. Men and hospitals.

"I missed you" He says... I have never been away from home much growing up. This will be a very big adjustment for all of us.

"I missed you too" i return.

Sienna scoffs "Its only been a day guys, stop being so dramatic" she scolds us.

We chitchat about this and that for a while till he finally asks.

"So where is Mr Bishop?"

"Ohh, you mean Nick? " Sienna snickers. That took long enough.

"What?" Dad asks confused"

"He is around here somewhere"

"How is he treating you?"

"It's only been a day dad" i say avoiding going into details and finally agreeing with Sienna. Or i could tell him that we kissed, passionately. And i didnt want it to stop.

"And yet you are already on pet name basis" Sienna counters jokingly.

"Sisi... " i say annoyed now.

"Alright .....I will pretend i didnt hear it.....for now" I sigh in temperol relief.

"What are you girls on about?" Dad asks still confused but now very curious about whats going on.

"Yeah, what are you on about" Nick agrees as he appears from somewhere.

" Ooh, nothing Nick... " Sienna utters, stressing the 'Nick' part.

"Sienna... " He responds, clearly not oblivious to the innuendo.

He stands next to me placing something in my hand.

"Here, take this. You need all the energy you can get"

"What is it?" i ask.

"Hot chocolate and an energy bar"

"But i... "

"Just drink it.. We are not doing this again Ally". I notice Dad and Sienna are oddly quiet. They were probably watching our exchange. I sudennly feel awkward. The room is even more quiet now that nobody is talking.

"C'mon, we should go" Nick speaks breaking the silence. I give Dad a kiss and hug Sienna not bothering to argue with him about it.

"I'll see you tomorrow? " Dad asks hopefully.

"Yes" i reply and thank God when Nick doesn't say anything to contradict me.

Mum and Sienna walk me out to the car. Nick walks ahead of us respecting our privacy.

" So, you two seem 'civil'? You were practically fighting cats and dogs yesterday, but look at you now?" Sienna picks up from where she left off with that awkward conversation. I choose not to reply to that.

"So have you done it?" Sisi continues ignoring my silence.

"Done what?" i ask innocently.

"Sex dummy"

"Sienna. gosh, you sound like Rita." i scold her.

"Sienna you can't ask her that" Mum scolds her thankfully.

"Ohh Mum, i know you want to know too." She responds, brushing her off.

"Well?" She persists.

"Where is Nick? " i ask feeling embarrassed that he could be hearing this conversation.

"Don't worry, he's some distance away, he can't hear anything..... well?"

" Ok, well No..... We didnt have sexm...and am. Not talking about this" well thats true atleast

" Really? Are you sure...You would tell me right? I always tell you everything Ally"

"Yes yes i know. No sex"

"Ok, but have you two kissed already though? And are you sleeping in the same bed?

"Sienna leave her alone" Mum tries to help me.

But Sisi is right... She has always shared everything with me.. I always pushed her for information because well, i felt like i lived through her, since i didnt have any exciting experiences of my own.

" Yes and Yes.... Enough now. So how long are you here for? " i confess and quickly ask to try and change the subject.

"I knew it.....OMG... I can't believe you are gonna be fu.... You know.. Can you call me tonight?.. I want more details baby."

" I'll try.. When are you leaving??" i repeat.

"Couple more weeks"

"Good" Maybe Nick won't mind me spending more time with my family since he will be working all the time.

" Alright honey, will see you tomorrow? " Mum says.

"Yes"

Our ride back to El Paradiso is quiet. Both of us deep in our thoughts. We arrive at the house and are greeted by Yolanda.

"Well, hello lovebirds. .. Just in time for dinner." It seems its always dinner in this place.

We start to make our way to the dinning table. The thought of everyone being there makes me get extremely anxious.

My hand is suddenly pulled.

" Hi Alaia.... We didn't get a chance to be introduced last night.. Am Lola.. Nick's favorite sister."

"You mean only sister" Nick snickers.

Hi Lola" i reply ignoring Nick. She sounds sweet...Taking my hand she continues talking.

"Come...So school finally closed today, so you and I can spend some time together...i will tell you everything you need to know about Nick.. Especially the embarrassing stuff"

Nick must have smacked her somewhere cause she sudennly shouts.

"Ouch...Am still gonna tell her" i smile. reminds me of Zara.

We get to the table and Nick who had his arm around my waist suddenly tenses up.

"Good evening Nick" A strange voice speaks.
