Right when Li Yi was about the exit from the city gates, a voice came from behind him.

"You there, adventurer, stop right there!"

Li Yi turned his head and saw that it was an officer that guarded the city — Qiaobu. It was rare to see NPCs who took the initiative to stop players. However, were that to happen, it would mean that there were important matters that needed to be solved.

Li Yi was puzzled. "May I help you?"

Qiaobu walked up to him and spoke in a serious tone.

"I have to inform you about this adventurer. You have to be prepared. During this period of time, the conflict between the Ghana Empire and the subdued Beast Empire has been escalating. Our Emporer City resides relatively close to the border, so your journey ahead might be dangerous. It would be advisable to not take this path!"

Li Yi frowned, and a bad feeling rose in his heart.
