65 Chapter 65: Water Magic

Mordred and Cassandra arrived at the field with plenty of time to scope out the competition and potential servants. When they arrived, both Cassandra's cousin, as well as the twin Tsurara-Onna, had arrived as well as few other figures that Mordred took note of.

"That is my cousin, Malory while both of them over there are definitely the famous twins of the Tsurara, Sophia and Noel."

Cassandra pointed out the people that Mordred had asked about earlier. Mordred looked over and saw the girls who all of his comrades were looking for but appeared right in front of him.

Malory looked similar to Cassandra except for a few years older and more developed as if she was a grown woman. This was a common trait among the Yuki and Tsurara-Onna.

The more potential they had, the more womanly they would look from a younger age and the more beautiful they would look when they were older.

Noel and Sophie looked to be in their late teens. But Mordred was able to tell that neither of the pair was who his group was looking for. Both had black hair instead of the white hair in Mania's vision.

There were also a few Atlanteans, both male and female standing among the crowd. They looked no different than most humans if someone did not notice the gills along their necks.

Almost all of the group had their trademark blonde hair except for one who stood in the center and the others seemed to subconsciously show their respect. He had the brown hair that Mania had described in her vision so Mordred could tell that he was one of the 4 potentials as well.

Mordred did not go over to greet them since he was waiting for the others to arrive. He had no interest in most of the dark beings and would take the leftovers who met his unique requirements.

Last to arrive, besides the teacher, were two familiar faces. The only other members of the 9 who had water element as well as his teammates, Persephone and Satana strutted onto the field like they were models.

Their very presence attracted the attention of every person on the field, male or female. Both were attractive by pretty much any species that had some decent beauty standards, unlike orcs and trolls.

Even though Mordred drew attention as well, it was nothing compared to these two. While others would view him because of his height and dangerous feeling he gave off first before looking at his aesthetics, Persephone and Satana subtly seduced others with their looks before showing their sharp and dangerous fangs.

The duo walked over and stood next to Mordred before eyeing up his companion. Cassandra seemed like a plain flower standing next to two beautiful and full gardens compared to the girls.

After assessing her, they decided to ignore the girl before speaking with Mordred.

"Heard you caused quite the commotion in the canteen! Made a big mess too."

"Hmm. Heard that as well. At least we know to do that in the privacy of our own personal training halls. Good thing we have this mad scientist to do all the stupid tests for us."

Cassandra looked shocked as the pair spoke to Mordred like that. From the rumors, she had heard and the short time she has seen him up close, she could tell that he was a no-nonsense type of person.

But she forgot a key thing. The pair speaking to him were not strangers but his childhood friends and close teammates. Even if he was still a bit cold to them, he was not as cold as he was to outsiders and could tolerate their jokes.

'I wonder if we all became on the same team due to our elemental natures. The three guys each share at least one other element with the others and actually make a perfect elemental triangle while the girl group all share arcane and weird abilities.

Did not even think of that when we were forming our groups. Wait. Why were the others not in the basic wind element class? Kali and Persephone both have it. Maybe they were just busy during that time.'

So while Cassandra was shocked, the pair of girls carried on with teasing Mordred for a few more minutes while his mind wondered. With all 3 gathered together and the two beauties laughing, all eyes were on their group.

That is when Malory, Noel, and Sophie all noticed that Cassandra was standing next to Mordred and even had a mark that was barely visible under her short sleeve blouse.

'She was already able to form a contract with them? How!'

Each of them was planning to use Cassandra as an excuse to greet the others and try to get into their good books but before they could take a few steps, the teacher had arrived.

The teacher for this class was a blonde, female Atlantean who looked to be in her late 30s or early 40s by human standards.

The woman eyed the group of SS ranks on one side of the field before turning and noticing that the 'prince' of the Atlanteans was standing on another part of it. She did not put much thought to either of these though. Her job was to teach everyone equally, regardless of their race.

"Hello everyone. My name is Lawrence and I will be your instructor. Yes, I know it is a male name. No, I did not have a gender change or am using an illusion or glamor spell.

My parents simply wanted to name their child after my great-grandfather before any of the other members of their generation could."

Lawrence then went on to pass out the different water cores before explaining what they were and their common uses. She also gave the same assignment that Crowley did before she left all the students to do as they pleased.

With the teacher gone, the dark beings hurried to gather around Mordred's group. Once they noticed that Cassandra was already contracted, they were afraid they would miss their chance to work under them.
