64 Chapter 64: Powerful! Mighty!

When Mordred first starting absorbing mana from the stone, no one paid him any mind. He was not the first, or even only at the time, who practiced absorbing mana particles during mealtime.

This made him not garner any attention. But what occurred afterward, attracted the attention of not only other students but even several staff members including Minerva who was nearby visiting the school vault.

When Mordred first started sensing mana particles in the air, nothing special happened. But after he began focusing for several minutes, the change occurred.

First, a large number of water droplets rose up appeared out of nowhere. At first, they appeared at random within a 5-meter radius of Mordred which attracted the attention of others.

When a normal being first sense the elements, they would at most create a fist-sized ball of that element in their hand. Few had ever heard of let alone seen someone creating such a large amount.

This attracted the attention of everyone in the room, including a few instructors. Before long, a purple mist/fog started covering Mordred's body. It did not drift away from him but was similar to a gaseous exoskeleton where his body could still be seen through it.

After the mist and water appeared, they began to condense around Mordred. The mist began to harden and formed a small, semi-transparent crystal armor while the water also froze and appeared formed a solid ice sphere within a 1-meter radius around Mordred.

This was why the magical particles felt so 'dense' to Mordred. It was not that they occupied more space in the air but that Mordred had subconsciously created barriers made out of them which made it harder for wind magic particles to enter.

Although the cold did not bother Cassandra, she backed away in fear of disturbing Mordred's... whatever he was doing.

'This lord of mine is powerful. He was just sensing for the wind element but was able to control such a large amount of water and arcane elements first.'

The large pull of mana attracted many who were sensitive mana that was nearby such as a few instructors for magic classes, some of the more powerful demons and dark beings, and even the Vice-Headmistress Minerva herself.

Many of these people entered the canteen and were surprised by the display of magical talent Mordred was displaying. The number of those who had grand level talent were few and far between, let alone those with supreme or divine level talent.

Even Minerva only had supreme level talent in the arcane element so she only had a hunch about why Mordred's magical sensing was so powerful.

'It must be due to having divine grade talent! But he only had supreme grade talent in arcane before while both his wind and water elements were at the grand level. Unless...'

Thinking about this, Minerva let out a small gasp. There was a small, plotting smile on her face that no one else would be able to see due to her mask and veil. Whatever she was plotting, it had something to do with Mordred.

After the ice and crystal appeared, it took a moment before another unnatural phenomenon appeared. Several wind blades surrounded Mordred before they turned into strands of various colored lightning around his body.

After seeing the lightning, Minerva's thoughts about Mordred were almost entirely confirmed and she began finalizing her plans. As for what those plans were, only time would tell. The witch soon left afterward without anyone else noticing her presence was ever there.

Mordred soon left the state he was in before opening his eyes. All the elements went back to their natural states but it did not stop the destruction or damage they caused.

Several items were either wet or frozen near Mordred while a few others were sliced by the wind blades or burnt by the electricity.

Seeing everything that happened around him, Mordred knew that he was the cause of it. Mordred looked around to see who was looking at him before letting out a sigh of relief.

'Crap. This is definitely unnatural. At least none of these were the headmasters. If they stopped to question me, I would have to answer them. None of these here can make me answer any of their questions.'

Mordred stood up and motioned for Cassandra to follow him as he began walking out of the canteen. Cassandra was confused for a moment before she caught on to what Mordred's signal meant and followed him out.

As soon as they left the canteen, Mordred checked his watch for the time. Seeing that he had about 15 minutes before his next class, Mordred decided to head towards the next one which was a bit of a walk aways.

"I have [Basic Water Magic] next. You?"

"I also have that class, Milord."

Mordred looked at her with a small amount of frustration before sighing to himself and walking to the next training grounds.

'You contracted with her so you must train her.'

"You are one of my people now. You are no longer a commoner. Act like it," he told her without looking back.

The girl paused for a moment before nodding her head and giving herself a small pep talk before she began walking behind Mordred to catch up with him.
