55 Chapter 55: Orientation (Pt 3)

Both groups walked out side by side until they reached the curtain that was hiding the stage. Standing on the stage were the headmistresses/masters.

Isis flashed a smile to both groups but only the 9 were able to return greetings. The Rankers were still upset at the younger demons and not thinking straight.

Minerva, Tenjin, and Tir raised their eyebrows when they noticed this and began to evaluate the 9, now 10, again. Tir looked especially interested in Mordred when he noticed Nyx was a Storm Harpy.

Isis did not seem to mind the little episode though.

"Alright, everyone. We will have our new students stand on the right of the stage while our older ones will stand on the left side. Us old demons will stay in the middle.

Choose someone quickly. They will give a small speech to all the other students."

Both groups moved to where their seats were but did not say a word during the entire process, almost as if they were in a silent competition with each other.

Isis once again smiled as if everything was normal while the other vice-heads decided to ignore both the groups before taking their place and standing in the center of the stage.

"Everyone in place? Good. This will be short, only about 10 minutes. Then you can all head to your homeroom and have fun with others your age."

Before anyone could or even wanted to respond, the curtains parted and revealed a large auditorium full of demons and dark beings.

Isis took a few steps and walked to the front of the stage. All the murmuring that was happening before the curtains parted was instantly silenced while all eyes were on her.

Isis very presence commanded respect from most even if they did not know her. That was just the aura the famous demon had.

"Welcome to Hel Academy!" Isis said which earned thunderous applause from everyone in the room. While the sentence was simple, it was still great for young beings to be acknowledged.

Isis made a hand movement as if to silence the crowd. The crowd followed suit and quieted down.

"While getting into this Academy is not difficult, prospering inside of it is. I speak on behalf of all the staff and the very academy itself.

We are not here to coddle you all. We care not who your parents are. We care not about how powerful your best friend has told you, you were. What matters now, is your current strength, your potential, and your thirst for knowledge.

Your current strength means that you have the ability to survive here. It means that you will not be bullied. It means that you will not serve!

Dark Beings! You may have lower ranks but that does not mean you are weak. You will be considered weak if you allow yourself to be beaten by others!

Rise above those demons who look down on you and show them that you are not to be trifled with. Even if they are able to beat you, make sure they know that their victory will cost them and it will not come easy.

Demons! These students on stage with me are the strongest or those with the most potential. This does not mean that their victory is assured. Let them feel your wrath. Make them earn their places as the strongest, do not just simply allow them to take it!

For those who are not powerful in combat, that is fine! We are not the mindless creatures that humans like to portray us as. Take my 3 vice-heads. Each of them is a master in a field and acknowledged around the world.

You do not have to be the most powerful to be feared and respected. Learn well while you are here or serve someone you can learn under. Rise to the top at your own pace and in your own way!

While the strongest may thrive, they will only be able to go so far without the right support! Be that support! Support the empire, support your master, support yourself!

I say once again, WELCOME TO HEL ACADEMY!"

An even louder wave of applause filled the auditorium than before. It was almost literally deafening.

Isis truly had a way with words. She encouraged all the students to try their best while subtly making many look at each other as both rivals and future partners.

She also made sure to let those who were known for the strength feel welcomed while also praising those who did not have high combat power. But a few people saw a few pieces of error in her words.

'She pointed out 3 Demon Lords for their skills in other fields. Even if they are not the strongest in direct combat, their stats are definitely monstrous compared to normal demons or dark beings.'

No one pointed this out though. Instead, they clapped along with the others and kept the thoughts to themselves.

Bast and Marcus of the Rankers gave small speeches as well but did not say anything elaborate. They knew that they could not match what Isis did and most were not truly paying attention to their words so there was no point in trying to be fancy.

After the orientation was over, everyone went to their homeroom to pick out their classes for the year. The 9 were placed in the S-class homeroom so they made their way there.
