47 Chapter 47: Unleash the Beasts (Pt 3)

After admiring their new forms for a few moments, the pair of transformed demons began to act when they saw the Murky-Water Spirits making their way toward them.

These creatures were hybrid darkness-water element spirits, their main feature being the darkness element.

In small numbers, they were not a threat but when they gathered together, that is when people were truly made to worry about them.

The spirits would fuse together into more powerful forms of themselves which would increase in rank and level.

10 would get 10 bonus levels but no increase in rank, 100 will get another rank but no bonus levels, while 1000 would get 50 bonus levels and a single increase in rank.

And from the numbers that the group saw, there were at least 2,500 of the spirits ready to attack and cause problems for them.

But no one acted yet. It was Satana's task to deal with the spirits so she was given full reign on how she wanted to handle the situation.

Unfortunately, no one could speak with her due to her being in her Tannin form and having yet to learn [Telepath] or [Beast Speak] type skills yet.

Mordred was also unable to communicate with anyone normally but because of his connection with Nyx, he could speak to her telepathically and allow her to speak for him in his Raiju form.

Satana decided to watch on as the Murky-Water Spirits began fusing and growing into larger beings in disdain.

'These little weaklings. Come. Grow. Go all out. I want to see just how powerful my abilities are.'

Satana had always been the most prideful of the group and looked down on everyone who was not a Demon Lord/Emperor or her friends/family and it seems like her arrogance had grown even more.

'This girl,' Persephone thought with a sigh. 'It really is my bad luck to be stuck with the two most troublesome members.

At least I have Nyx to help me deal with them.'

Persephone was truly pitiful in this regard. One was a genius who was also a princess while the other was a prodigy who had never lost. Neither knew the word humble either.

Although this was true about all of the 9. Each one of them was gifted from birth and had always been regarded as superior to others due to their talent and actual abilities.

The Murky-Water spirits had finished fusing together into their various combinations. While there were a few basic ones left, the rest had turned into their later forms.

There were two creatures that were over 10 meters tall that seemed like they were black water golems with their massive figures. The only thing that was not made of water inside of them was a crystal that also seemed to function as their eye.

This was the 1000 combination creature, the Murky-Water Great Golem. Standing beside it were 5 creatures that seemed like half of its height and 7 others that seemed as if they were barely 3-meter tall versions of the original.

These were Murky-Water Golems and Murky-Water Ghosts respectively. Each of the Murky-Water creatures was standing on the water and making their way to the group.

Satana's Tannin form smiled in disdain at the creatures who were slowly making their way toward her.

'I control water. Hehe! See how I torment you to death with your own bodies!'

Satana began to use her natural magic to try and control the water bodies of all the Murky-Water creatures.

The spirits bodies of the spirits and ghosts began to convulse and move in weird ways before they exploded into puddles of black water.

Even though they were sentient, their weak strength meant that Satana could control them with ease. The golems were a different story.

Due to their higher rank and size, Satana had a much harder time controlling their bodies. She was able to slow them down and stop them from moving but was unable to kill them outright.

'Damn you! [Dragon's Breath]!' shouted in her mind in frustration.

The Tannin opened its large mouth to charge an orb of mana that was blue, brown, and black before the colors combined and became a dark purple color.

Satana swallowed the ball before she opened her mouth and released a large amount of destructive energy on the golems and lake beneath.

The amount of power was more than she was expecting though. Satana originally just wanted to destroy the golems as well as alert the boss of the dungeon.

The breath attack not only instantly destroyed the golems but it then traveled to the center of the lake before exploding, causing a massive wave to form and sending all of the water outside of the lake.

When the group looked at the lake, they noticed that not only was it empty, but the final boss creature that was supposed to be inside of it and allow Mordred to test his Raiju form, was half destroyed with only its lower body remaining.

Seeing the destructive power of the attack, everyone was shocked before they turned to Satana with blaming looks.

Seeing them all look at her like that, Satana was irritated.

'Don't look at me like that! These creatures were just too weak! I did you a favor by killing them so you would not get your han... paws dirty!'

Too bad for her, no one could hear her thoughts. And even if they could, they ignore her shameless.

Seeing that there was no one left for him to deal with, Mordred changed back into his Oni for while Satana became her humanoid form once again.

The group left the dungeon before clearing it several more times in order to gain some more levels before going to find another one to clear.

This would be the routine that each of the teams for the next few months as well as improving their skills outside of combat such as business, management, geography, etc.

All in preparation to ensure that the time at the academy was not wasted on skills or knowledge that could be easily obtained outside of it.

Now, it was time to begin the next leg of their journey, Hel Academy.

And that is the conclusion of book 1, arc 1, part 1, whatever you want to call it. Now, the 9 will visit the Academy.

The first part of the story was to give a basic introduction to the characters, the world around them not the world they live in, and how certain aspects of the world works.

The academy will not be like others. This is not really for them to meet friends and play around with arrogant assholes. They are already arrogant assholes lol. The academy will serve several purposes which you will uncover over the entire arc.

You will learn how the kids interact with others who are not their friends or family. The faces they show the world.

Unlike other protagonists who show smiles to everyone but these are proud children who are even prouder due to the secrets they have stumbled upon.

You will also learn how demons act in general as well as the roles of the members of the dark race and how they come about.

You all learn with the 9(10 if you count Nyx). On a good day, you know what they know, on a bad day, they know much more than you.

Stuff happens without their permission or knowledge in this world. Events that may seem random to you, may also seem random to them.

They will not know every elf wizard who has gone berserk is trying to take over the world. They don't know the various policies that the different beast tribes have for their tribes.

Get ready for this coffee fueled joy ride of a story that will keep you on the edge of your seats.
