Seeing the number of available stat ad system points greatly pleased Mordred. He immediately divided all 1,800 stat points evenly between the mobility and mind stats. Those were the two that he planned to invest all of his free points into.
After he spent his stat points Mordred decided to make some purchases with his system points. The first thing he needed to purchase was the [Super Soldier Serum Mk I].
'I need to buy these, one by one so I waste as few points as possible. If I can get lucky and get it on my first try, no need to purchase two.'
Without further hesitation, Mordred purchased the first Mk 1 serum. What came out was not a drink or syringe full of liquid like he expected but was instead a pill.
Mordred did not even pretend to try to understand the pill before he swallowed it whole.
'I'm not an alchemist. No need to study my medicine and just take it.'
As soon as the pill entered his stomach, he felt as if his entire body was burning. It was like he was in an oven and being cooked alive.
This feeling went on for 5 minutes. Just when he thought he was getting used to it, his body felt as if it was dipped into the coldest blizzard that ever existed. He cold ran deep into his bones and he could even feel it in his very soul.
The feeling of burning and freezing would continue and change between one another at random for a full hour. At the end of the hour, Mordred felt as if his body was being shocked by lightning.
By the time it finally ended, Mordred felt exhausted and he did not feel more powerful. When he opened his status menu, it only confirmed that the serum had indeed failed.
Mordred let out a sigh before he purchased another serum and popped it into his mouth without hesitation. He knew that, while it was extremely painful and left him mentally exhausted, his body was perfectly fine.
The burning and freezing sensations returned once again. The same as before occurred though. He went through the burning and freezing sensations once again before he had the feeling of being shocked and exhausted.
Seeing that he failed once again, Mordred purchased the 3rd serum and consumed it. Even though he had expected and was prepared for the burning and freezing sensations, they still felt terrible to him.
This time, however, after the hour was up, Mordred did not feel the shocking sensation. Instead, he felt a calm stream of energy flow throughout his body. After being in constant pain for the past 3 hours, this relaxing and gentle energy almost made Mordred let out a moan of satisfaction.
Soon, the feeling ended but Mordred's body felt stronger than ever. When he checked his status, he saw that the serum had succeeded. Not only did his stats improve, but he had apparently surpassed the limit of an SS rank.

'Evolve?! This is unheard of. Even those forbidden books that I had Kali take from the palace never mention this.
Could I be the first and only demon with the chance to evolve? Wait!
The system never said anything about me being the only one who could take the serum. Let's not even talk about Mk 5 or using multiple on another demon. Even just using the most basic Mk 1 will allow the other SS ranks to evolve and reach SSS rank.
Should I let mother and them though? Those guys are already as complacent as they could be. They do not try to conquer or go to war anymore. If they suddenly got hundreds or even thousands of free stat points as well as a new form, I'm pretty sure they would force me and the other 8 to do all the work involving the other races.
Yep. That sounds annoying. Let's just keep this to ourself for now and give it to them later. Not like there is really anything that can threaten all 8 of them anyway.

Mordred focused on the section of the menu that said evolution was available before a small menu appeared before him. It only had three options listed on it.

Mazoku Oni: SSS rank: The superior form of the Oni. Elites among the elites who have the power to compete for the position of the Demon God.
Body changes: Minor: Increased healing factor, facial markings
Innate Ability gained: Tier 1/9 Passive Skill: Heartless: User's heart no longer exists and therefore is no longer a weak point. Attacks through the heart are no longer fatal while blood will continue to flow on its own without the need of the heart. Immune to offensive based abilities.
Asura: SSS rank: Beings born and bred for combat and war. At their peak, they can even compare with gods in combat. The main weakness of asura is their pride and their berserk mentalities causing them to be their own worst enemies
Body changes: Major: gain additional 2 faces, 4 arms, berserk/unstable mind
Innate Ability gained: Tier 1/9 Passive Skill: Battle Hungry: the longer the user is in combat, the more their stats increase but their mind becomes less stable and more focused on battle. 5% increase in physical stats every 10 minutes of combat.
True Water Giant: SSS rank: Giants that have command over the very earth they walk on. The smallest of them are 5 meters tall while the largest can be up to 20 meters tall. Known for their immense strength and power.
Body changes: Major: grow 5 meters in height while the rest of the body grows in proportion to match the height, almost impossible to use normal weapons besides polearms.
Innate Ability: Tier 9 Passive Spell: Natural Water Magic: the user is able to manipulate the world's water itself to use for defense, offense, support, or whatever else their mind can think of. The amount that can be controlled at once is limited by the mind stat.
