20 Why don’t you share an apartment with my friend?

"Speaking of which, You have to give us treat in a nice restaurant. Why don't we go this Friday evening?"

"That's right. We want a treat in that newly opened barbecue restaurant."

"Christine, What happened to your face? Looks like a slap print. Did you get into a fight with someone at the office?"This time another roommate spoke.

"Christine, Did you get this on-site opportunity using underhanded means? We all were graduated in the same year. You were promoted last year. This year, You are getting OnSite. Are you hooked up with a big boss at the office? You did not go home on last 3-4 Weekends. Were you busy with office work or "Big boss"?She winked at Christine.

"Why?? Did you not like me working on weekends? That should be the case. I saw you sending off your "Old" boyfriend to his car last weekend. You did not get an opportunity to spend quality time with him"at night". Did not you use my room over the weekend for the last couple of years? I chose to stay back in my room for a few weekends and you are already making nasty remarks about my character. If you wanted to have some thrilling experience then you should always book a hotel room for yourself."

"Christine, What nonsense are you talking about? I have never invited any of my Male friends to our apartment. You are falsely accusing me. Before spouting nonsense, You should show us the proof?"

"Did not I just said that I saw you with my own eyes? You all won't believe me. Why don't we approach building management committee for retrieving CCTV footage from last weekend? We can say that one of us has lost something valuable after entering the building premises."

"You...." Her roommate thought Christine would use this trick.

"Next time, be careful when you accuse someone of something. I am not having an illicit affair with my big boss. I don't want to waste my other breath on you. Tomorrow, I am leaving this place. I hope our paths don't cross each other."

"I have Met in a couple of hours and need to start packing my bags. Please excuse me."

She was always tolerating her roommates. They had minimal contact with each other, to begin with. She had avoided getting into a fight with them. But, one of her roommates went overboard and talked ill about her character. She could not let it go.

This morning, She had already received her security deposit from the owner and have paid all dues. She will leave this place tomorrow night. Earlier, She thought she will leave on Saturday but now, she does not wish to stay another day here.

As such, She had reached home earlier and She had not kept many items in this place. She packed her bags rather quickly. She ordered takeout for dinner from a nearby restaurant. After she finished her dinner, She sent a message to Cletan to inform him that she is ready for the session.

Christine switched on her laptop and got ready for Cletan's KT session. Cletan too joined this session on time.

When they were about to close the session, Cletan said he wants to talk to her about her accommodation.

"Sweetie, finding accommodation in City O is rather a difficult task. You can't stay far away from the office. Also, the place should be in your budget. I have a friend called "Anna" who is currently staying alone in her apartment. She was not planning to share her apartment with anyone. But, I told her that you are my friend so she should consider it. Also, let me tell you Anna is an interior designer. Her current assignment will be done in the next 3 months or so. Once she leaves, you can find another person to occupy her room. Rent for that apartment is not high and it is only at five minutes walking distance from our client office. So, Why don't you share an apartment with my friend? It's win-win for both of you."

"Cletan, I have not been there and I need to meet her in person before taking any decision. After all, I am coming there for the long term so I need to think from that perspective."

"How about you checking that apartment on the video call? You will get a chance to talk to her during that call? Will you be able to decide that case?"

Christine started laughing . This guy is acting like a broker who resorts to numerous ways to sell the properties .
