Sam thought something is going on between Christine and her adolescent school friend. However, they were good friends and they were not romantically involved with each other. Christine had a crush on Ryan. Interestingly, Ryan had known about her little crush on him. He too had feelings for her so he was spending time with her in university and used to call her for extra curriculum activities. He is a good dancer and would invite her whenever he was rehearsing his dance steps. He was a bright student at the university and was in the Top 5 in the final exams.

They had lost contact with each other after graduations.

Ryan was thinking of a valid reason to call Christine. God has given him a second chance to pursue her. Hopefully, She is still single, Ryan thought to himself. He heard message notifications on his phone. He saw an unread message from Christine. He could not describe his emotions in words. He immediately started replying to her messages.

"Christine, I too was not in touch with the offshore team. I was constantly working on different priority incidents. Initially, I was under tremendous stress to perform in this team onshore. You see that everyone is really capable so I too also put extra efforts into my work. My work was not required to have interactions with the offshore team so I never knew that you have joined CreativeWorks and this project. Back then, when we were in university, I did not add you on any social media accounts. I lost my phone while travelling home on the local train. I am extremely grateful to God to give me this opportunity to meet you again."I had given high priority to work before but now, I will openly pursue you. I will never be able to surpass Sam in work efficiency or technicality. I am satisfied with the kind of work that I am currently doing. I would put more focus on you, Ryan thought. He didn't know that It would not be easy for him to make Christine his girlfriend because Sam would be his biggest love rival.

Ryan did not want to waste time typing the long messages. He called on Christine's mobile. They were on the phone call for two long hours. They had not met each other in the last 3-4 years and had many topics to discuss on.

At this time, certain someone in the same neighbourhood was trying to repeatedly call Christine on her mobile but he was getting a busy tone. He checked the time on his wristwatch- 10:00 PM. She would not be on phone with her parents. She does not have siblings. Who is on the call with her for so long? Her friend or boyfriend? Who is her boyfriend? That school friend? He has already investigated him and had found that that guy is in a relationship with some other girl. It is a weekday and it is 1:30 am in the night in Country A. There is a high probability that she is talking to the guy and not a girl. Girls would not talk gossip so late into the night. It must be a guy who might be trying to pursue her. Should he go to her apartment and check on her? No, She would hate him for being a clingy and possessive, suspicious guy. He cannot destroy his good image in front of her. Wait, How could he forget about Anna? She is her roommate. She can enter Christine's room with some excuse. She will easily get information from Christine. Why did not he called her before?

Sam called Anna on her phone and explained the situation. Luckily, Anna was working on her design for one of the projects. She left her room and knocked on Christine's room. Christine opened a door for Anna. She was puzzled, Why Anna knocked on her door so late in the night?

"Christine, I was going to fetch water for myself. I am working on one Design and not tired. I saw lights on in your room so I thought of taking your opinion on my design. Could you please come to my room?" Anna pretended that she had not noticed her speaking on phone.

"Sure, Sister Anna. Give me a minute." Christine quickly said goodbye to Ryan and Ryan reluctantly hanged up. Christine started following Anna to her room.

"Sorry Christine, I have disturbed you. Were you on the phone call?"Anna apologised for her interruption.

"It's Okay, Sister Anna. We were about to hang up the call." Christine did not mind Anna.
