37 I won't let anyone harm you
The next morning....
"Good morning officer Liu!" Kresha greeted the middle aged police officer.
Officer Liu quickly get up from his seat when he saw them. " Oh! Good morning Miss Tang and Mr. Mo!" He replied." Please have aseat!" He said while pointing at the chairs in front of his desk.
Lindon nodded his head as a response.
"Thank you." Kresha said and they sitted on the chair in front of Officer Liu.
"So, how may I help you?" Officer Liu asked.
"Uhm, officer, I'm sorry if it took me a few months before I remember that I saw a tattoo on the criminal's wrist."
"You saw a tattoo on the criminal's wrist?" Officer Liu knitted his brows.
"Are you sure? Why you did not told us when we asked you if you saw any clue that could help us to identify the criminal?"
"I'm so sorry but I was so confused that time. I almost got killed, so i don't know what to think that time. I have even suffered from post traumatic stress disorder too." Kresha explained.
"How sure are you of what you saw?" The officer asked again.
"I'm one hundred percent sure! I am sure that I saw a tattoo and it looked like a dragon which is blazing fire!"
Officer Liu froze.
"What? A dragon tattoo? Blazing fire?" Officer Liu asked.
"Yes!" Kresha replied.
Officer Liu took a sketch pad from his drawer. " Could you tell me how it looked like?"
Kresha nodded.
And then she started to describe the tattoo that she saw on tha criminal's wrist.
Lindon keep silent. He just listen to Kresha and did not interrupt her.
After a while officer Liu is done with his sketch.
He stared at the sketch with his stunned reaction. "Are you sure this is the tattoo that you saw?"
"Yes Officer Liu! It really look the same." Kresha replied.
"How did you see it? It was so dark at the crime scene right?"
"I was still holding my phone when he attacked me, and my phone suddenly lit up that time. And I accidentally saw his tattoo." Kresha explained.
"Officer Liu, what's with that tattoo?" Lindon asked the officer when he notice his stunned expression.
"Uh, this tattoo belongs to the members of "fire of death" gang."
Lindon and Kresha knitted their brows and they looked at each other.
"This gang is the most dangeruous gang in the country. They smuggled guns, diamonds and even elligal drugs. They are also not afraid to kill! They kill their victims brutally! They burn them alive!"
"But They stopped their operation when their leader died during the encounter against the authority two years ago. The other members has been arrested too. But there are few of them who was able to escape." Officer Liu explained to them.
Kresha's face turned pale! The tips of her fingers turned called.
Why would a former member of such dangerous gang will attack her? Did she provoke them without knowing it?
Lindon notice Kresha's pale face. He stretch his arms and took her hand. He hold it tight as if telling her 'don't worry I am here to protect you'.
Kresha looked down to her hand and then look up to Lindon.
Lindon smiled at her, giving her a sense of security. She take a deep breath and calm her self.
She smiled back at him. As long as Lindon is in her side, she won't get scared anymore! She knew she's safe beside him!
Lindon tightened his grip.
Kresha's paled face slowly turned to her normal color.
"Feeling better?" Lindon asked gently.
Kresha nodded her head and smiled. "Thanks."
"No worries, as long as I'm alive I won't let anyone harm you." He said gently.
Even if you don't love me anymore I will still protect you. Lindon secretly added.
Kresha felt moved by his word. She doesn't know what to say. She just smiled at him and then she look back to officer Liu.
"Officer, you have a photos of the other members of the gang who escaped right?" Kresha asked.
"Yes! We have!"Officer Liu said. "Wait for a while and I'll show you." He said and then he get up from his seat and took the photos of each members of the said gang.
After a while he put down the photos at the top of his desk. "Here." He said.
Kresha started to look at the photos one by one.
Lindon is still holding her left hand so she used her right hand to pick up the photos one by one and take a look at it.
She's almost done looking at the photos but she did not see any familiar face. Not until she pick up the last photo.
Kresha's heart beats faster! She feel scared again!
Just by looking on this man's eyes she can tell that he is the one who attack her!
She stared at the photo.
The man has a big and round eyes. He looked like he is glaring at her! He has a long black hair and a goatee on his face. "Officer, who is this?" She asked Officer Liu.
"Ah, he is called Jack in the gang but his real name is Jackson Li."
"I... He looked familiar to me." Kresha mumbled. "I think he is the one who attack me."
Yes! She knew it! This man is the man who attacked her!
"Really?! Uh, we've been looking for him for two years now. I thought he'd undergone a plastic surgery and gone abroad to hide from the authority!" The Officer said.
"Anyway Officer, I want you to investigate someone." Kresha put down the photo.
She shoved her hand to her bag and took another photo.
"His name is Rion Li he is a nurse and he had the same surname as Jackson. He also have the same tattoo like the other members of the gang. But I did not see his photo on your files." Kresha said.
"He had the same tattoo?" Lindon asked Kresha.
Kresha nodded. "Hhmmm. And I heared him talking to someone on the phone. He even called him boss."
"Why you did not told me?"
"Lindon, I was not sure then. That is why I wanted to know his background to make sure if he is a foe or not."
Officer Liu took the photo from Kresha's hand and take a look at it.
"Miss Tang, we will investigate this person. Thank you for the information." Officer Liu said.
Kresha averted her gaze from Lindon to Officer Liu.
"Hhmmm. Thank you Mr. Officer!" Kresha replied.
Kresha and Lindon said goodbye to Officer Liu and then they left the police station.
"I guess I have to increase the security in the Mo Residence." Lindon mumbled while they're heading to the carpark.
" I agree to that." Kresha said.
