57 Diamond ring

Kresha's heart skipped a beat.

She knitted her brows.

The waiter might have mistook me to someone!

Kresha did not know if she's going to step forward or to leave.

In the end she decided to leave but she froze when she heared a romantic music started to play.

She did not move. She just stood rooted on the ground.

Kresha was a little bit confused and she did not notice that someone is approaching her from behind.

Kresha was startled when someone suddenly embraced her from behind!

"Happy birthday sweetheart." A familiar voice of a man whispered to her ears. Kresha's body stiffened!

The man out his arm around her waist and he pecked her on her cheeck!

Kresha freed her self from the man's embrace! And then she turned to make sure that she was not mistaken!

It's a bit dark but with the help of the faint light from the candle lights , Kresha was still able to recognize the person in front of her!

"Lindon!" Kresha was stunned! I thought he had gone out of town? Kresha thought.

Lindon curved his lips.

He bent his knee, stretched his arm and offered his hand to Kresha. "Can I dance with you tonight?" He asked gently.

The romantic music continued to play.

Kresha stared at Lindon, she can still see the sincerity in his eyes even though it's a bit dark inside the room.

Kresha smiled and took Lindon's hand.

Lindon's smile widened. He held Kresha's hand tightly and he put his right arms around her waist.

He pulled her closer to him until the only gap between them is the clothes that they are wearing.

They looked like they are embracing each other while dancing.

Kresha closed her eyes and leaned her head at Lindon's chest.

The two of them stayed in that possition while dancing. They did not talk, but they still can understand each other through their body language.

They danced as if they don't care about the ouside world.

They danced as if it would be their last chance to dance. Both of them don't want to let go with each other.

They feel like they don't want the music to stop and they don't want this moment to end.

After about thirty minutes, Lindon whispered to Kresha. "Happy birthday. "

Kresha stopped moving her feet, she straightened her body and she looked at Lindon.

Kreshs seemed like she remember something. She narrowed her eyes and speak.

"So, the out of town convention is fake?" She asked.

Lindon let out a short laugh before he nodded his head. "Hhmmm.."

"You----"

Lindon put his finger on kresha's lips. "Ssshhh! Look!" Lindon pointed the projector monitor ahead of them.

Kresha looked at the projector monitor.

And then the background music started to play.

The photos of her started to appear on the monitor one by one.

It's a slide show with a background music.

There are photos of her when she was still an infant, during her primary school, to her secondary school and until she graduated in college.

There are also photos of her with her parents. It was the photos of their happy moments that Kresha would never forget.

Kresha's tears started to form in the corner of her eyes.

She remember everything that they do together when they are still alive.

She missed her parents so much and how she wished that they are here on her special day and celebrating with them!

Kresha blinked her eyes to suppress her tears.

The slide show stopped and then the video of her friends wishing her a happy birthday started to play.

There are messages from her co-workers, from her cousines who are close to her and even from elder Mo.

The next video that played is from her grandpa.

Kresha was a bit shocked!

Her mouth was slighlty opened as she watch her grandpa on the monitor.

I thought he forgot my birthday!

"Hello Little Princess!" The video started to play." Oh! You're not little anymore!

You're already a grown up woman! Kid, I feel so lucky to have you as my grand daughter, you're a responsible person! And I am so proud of you. And as you grow up you become brave and courageous.

You are not the little Kresha that would cry whenever she fell down. I know in the future; you will succeed in every trials that would come in your life. Happy birthday little princess. Grandpa loves you."

Kresha wipe the tears that rolled down to her face.

She glared at Lindon and speak. "Yah! How could you make me cry on my birthday!"

Lindon curved his lips and he helped her wipe her tears.

He touched Kresha's chin, he raised his hand which is now holding a microphone and he speak.

"Sweetheart, you are the most lovable woman that I've ever knew. You are a soft-hearted yet brave woman. You have a long patience in everything and you're always by my side whenever I feel down. And I thank God for sending you to me."

Kresha didn't know where did Lindon get the microphone.

She just looked at him with her stunned reaction! She listened to him and did not interrupt him from talking.

" Kresha, I don't want to lose you. You are my everything." Lindon continued to speak. He feel so nervous and his voice is obviously trembling but he still continued to talk.

"Kresha , I want to be by your side until the day I die. I want you to be the last person that I see before I close my eyes at night and I want you to be the first person that I see when I open my eyes everymorning when I wake up."

Kresha was stunned!

Kresha's heartbeat become faster! She's nervous and her body is trembling due to her excitement!

Lindon took a small gift from the pocket of his tuxedo. It was covered with a silver colored gift wrapper.

"Kresha, this is my gift to you and it's up to you if you're going to accept it or not." Lindon said and he stretch his arm to give his gift to Kresha.

"Would you like to open it?" Lindon asked.

Kresha swallowed her saliva before she took the small gift from Lindon's hand.

Kresha started tear the wrapper with her trembling hands.

Inside the wrapper is a small box from the most luxurious jewelry store in the entire country!

Kresha looked up at Lindon. "L-Lindon..."

Lindon took back the box from Kresha.

He slowly open it and showed to Kresha what's inside the box.

Kresha gasped!

It was a ring!

A diamond ring!

Kresha stared at the ring inside the box.

It looked so elegant!

The ring is crapted in a two tone white and yellow gold. It features a princess-cut attractive diamond set in the centre with highly polished yellow band!

Lindon suddenly kneeled with his one knee in front of Kresha.

"Kresha, I want you to be my wife... Will...will you marry me?"
