As the moon drops, someone's life will drop

Hi! I'm Cathy. 18 years old, and a normal girl with a supernatural power.

I know, it sounds weird. But... I know and I feel that someone dies, whenever the moon drops. Others say that I was cursed by some witch, because of my father who loves playing with girls' feelings. But anyway, I still live pretty normal. Not until one day.

It's our last day of class this year 2030, one of my friends has some celebration because it's her mom's birthday. And I accepted it.

Around 7 o'clock of the evening, while picking some clothes to wear. I feel it again, but this time. It's stronger. It's just weird to me that I can feel it, but I can't do anything about it. So, as I do always... I let it slip.

My friend arrived to pick me up, and we both got to their house. I greeted Auntie, with a smile of happiness for her. And she hugged me back. She's always sweet. That's why I like her.

As I hug her back, the feeling got back and it's more stronger than before. So I let go of the hug, and smiled again to Auntie. My friends invited me to go to their backyard. And played some games...

Truth or Dare, and we all agree to it. But I guess I shouldn't have done it. Kathniss, one of my friends, asked me something I never thought she would ask me.

"Who will die this time Catina?" She asked full seriousness on her face.

I looked into her eyes, and they all became red. I stopped and was shocked by it. I looked at my friends, but they are not moving at all.

'Did she know?' I ask myself.

I sigh before answering. "I don't know, but it's more stronger than before, this time..." That's the only thing I said. Because I don't want to alarm her, or any of my friends.

She smiled weakly, and got back to her original eye color. Then she asked me the real truth question. "If you have any power to feel that someone is going to die, will you be happy?" She asked. She's not smirking, but I can feel her curiosity.

"Of course no, who will even want to have that kind of power." I said to her. She smiled at me again, and excused herself. As minutes passed, I decided to follow her.

I saw her entering through the door, without opening it, but I didn't hesitate to open it. Before some people see us.

As I'm about to close the door, "Why did you follow me? Do you need something?" She asked.

"The question is... Why do you ask those so suddenly?" I ask back.

"Should I be the one who's supposed to have an answer? But nevermind..." a silence secretly goes between us.

"I know who put that kind of power or curse to you, and I know who will die, when the moon drops..." she said, not hesitating on what will be my reaction. I just looked at her shock, then I saw her transform into a...

M-MAN?!

"Nice meeting you Cathanasia, it is I... Karlos, one of the guardians of death." I only looked at him shocked and dumbfounded.

He walks close to me and kneels, he reaches out to my hands and kisses it. Then he stood up...

"I-I don't understand... I mean, I do understand... but how?" I am so confused on what's happening.

He chuckled at my reaction. "You're still cute when you have that reaction... but long story short. We have to stop this death, for our friend..." his responded.

"For our frie--... N-no! That can't be... Auntie, is the one who's--"

"Yes, it is... it's the one who's having its birthday."

"But how can we stop it? We can't stop the move of the moon."

"Umm... duh?" As he looks to his transformation.

"Huh?"

"Obviously?! We have to combine our powers to do it."

"To do what?"

"Follow my lead."

12 o'clock and still... The party is still not over which made it more harder to do the plan. And then I notice that this feeling is starting to hit me... like a stab in my heart. And Karlos notices it, he touches my hand,and puts it to my chest. And it's glowing like a diamond. I look at it amazed, and then he removes his hand to it.

"You're good for now. But we have to go, it doesn't matter if it cost my life to do this... but it's still not the time yet." He said to me, reaching for my hand to start the plan.

As the moon starts to drop, Auntie is starting to feel weak. All the guest are back to their homes and we forward our plan silently for them not to wake up. We went inside her bedroom and Karlos came up to her and touched her head. I don't know what is happening but we have to hurry. I open the window, and see that the moon is almost coming to drop.

And still the process is not finished yet. "I have to do something..." I whisper to myself.

"Let your power flow." I heard someone whisper to me. And I look at Auntie...

"But what shall I do?" I ask back.

"You're more powerful than you think Cathanasia. You have to trust your heart and mind. Do what you have to..."

And then I just started glowing. My body feels so great. I can feel the power flow through my veins, I felt so powerful.

"H-how?"

The diamond started to glow in my heart, I put my palm to it and enchant some words that I didn't even know. As then the diamond starts to glow even more, and it's like my power is spreading to everything it decided to go to.

And then, I suddenly came back to my senses. I walk to her bed, and I notice how Karlos body started to feel weak. I smile at him, and I kiss his forehead. I touch their hands together. And I see their body coming back to a good health and I can feel their warmth.

"The light of energy is flowing back to their body." I smile weakly, as I feel my body to get numb.

And...

*TUT* *TUT* *TUT*

And that's it... I died saving the whole world from the pandemic. I didn't survive, because I'm the one who put all of my power to bring their body back to life...

I felt happy to do it. And as the moon drops on June 10 2030, everyone will die...

But I save the curse.
