chapter 01 : where it all started..

_saturday 02 September 2021_

I put on my headphone and looked from the window of my seat at the moving trees and the sun chasing us, as the music started playing my conscience was fading slowly, it was a family trip my whole family was here in the car, mom sitting in the front seat beside my dad driving, my older sister jade and my younger brother Jeremy were sitting right beside me in the backseat, the silence was all over the place which made me even sleepier and before I realized I already fell heavily asleep.

"JUNE WAKE UP WE ARE ALMOST HERE! " screamed jade in excitement

I got startled and woke up from my sleep, I don't know why but I felt like I slept for ages, minutes later we arrived to our destination, the house we will be staying in from now on, I helped mom in organizing the luggage and then decided to wander around a little to explore my new neighborhood, as I was walking I felt like I have been to this place before like even the people here seemed familiar to me, anyhow I got tired so I came back to my new home where I found out that my family actually planned a house warming party but for some reason, they didn't invite anyone from our relatives and friends, and as soon as I came in my sister took my hand out of the blue and led me to a very big cake covered in vanilla (my fav flavor) which had 17 candles on the top, around the cake sat all my family members waiting for me to blow the candles...

I stared at them in confusion and said "it's not my birthday so why ?"

Jeremy : we all have blown our candles, it's your turn now June

I was confused as hell and I didn't get what was happening, it felt really strange that my family wasn't happy and warm as it used to be, I got scared and wanted to run away but didn't know how to react until someone suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me away, i didn't want to admit it but deep inside i felt relieved...

"you entered the wrong place" that person said with a calming soft voice while pulling me away.

it was a boy, his face was blurry and indistinguishable but i felt like i knew everything about him and for a very long time..

surrounded by darkness and scared as never, i couldn't think of anything else at that moment so i foolishly asked the mysterious one grabbing my hand,

"WHO ARE YOU?"
