1 Chapter one

Life's been very hectic, being raised by the king of Hillsboro, he is very strict and an unhappy man. His sweet daughter was killed at 3 years old by his rival kingdom, Kelimar. Kelimar are known for there ruthless and cruel way of ruling. The kings servant had a daughter that looked the same had brown and gold locks of hair, emerald green eyes and looked as if they were twins. And that baby was me! I was just one month younger then the princess.

So the king took me from my mother and father and banished them so they could never reach out to me. The king didn't let anyone know his daughter was gone, not even his wife. I didn't even know I wasn't his daughter. He just let them to believe I was her, no one asked and Kelimar believed they killed the wrong child, the king never knew what would be in store for me in the future.

"Papa, can I go play with Conway?"

Conway was the second oldest son who was only 2 years older then me.

"Kasia, you know that you have lots of training today!" The king wasn't letting any harm come to me, which is so suffocating.

"Yes, sir" I bow my head down and walk to the training room.

My father made sure I was educated in martial arts and edict, which if you ask me is a weird combination. But I'm only 10 so I don't understand why he's doing the combat training.

"Ah, your royal highness. You came earlier then usual. Ready to start you kung fu?"

"Yes, Master Scott"

Master Scott teaches everything from arm wrestling to jujitsu. He is my sensei, and his wife teaches my edict, she's very quite and believes women are there for the mens benefit and not there to have a voice or opinion. My father wants me to be elegant but cunning. He has me in all his combat meetings with his generals, so I learn battle tactics and how to be aware of signs that war will come.

As a ten year old princess I don't see why it's important now, but he thinks it is.

"Kasia! Are you listening!"

I snap back from zoning out.

"I'm sorry ma'am"

She picks up the teapot and begins to pour the tea

"Now show me how you drink the tea"

I sit straight up grab the spoon on the table and never flex my elbow or straighten it, strictly only wrist movements. I stir my tea and lightly tap the spoon on the side of my cup. I grab the tea plate with the cup on it and stop the plate so it's level with my chest. I bring the cup to my lips with my little finger lightly extended, and made sure to let the tea fall into my mouth so there was not slurping sound.

She seemed very impressed with the progress. Just weeks ago I would slouch and burp in public now I'm a proper lady of the court.

"I'll let the king know of your progress, he will be very pleased"

I nod and gracefully rise out of my chair.

"May I be excused, ma'am?"

"Yes, you may. Thank you, Kasia I'll see you next week to see the progress"

I get up and walk out of the training room. I love to do martial arts, compared to these girl lessons.

As I'm walking I hear foot steps following me, them they sound to have lifted off the ground, I duck and dodge my attacker.
