71 The Battle Is Happening

Ring.. ring...

Mark was currently sitting motionless inside the castle while stroking his eyebrows. He had a serious expression on his face as he was pondering over some important matters.

"Captain, the transporter snail is ringing again." Capone Bege said slowly as he pointed at the transporter snail before Mark. He didn't want to interrupt Mark's trains of thought but perhaps the call was too important to miss out on.

"Gotcha!" Mark picked up the transporter snail with a displeased expression on his face.

"Captain! One of our ship traveling through Big Mom's territories was destroyed." A Z pirate leaders voice rang out from the transporter snail with nervousness.

"I understand." Mark kept getting bad news after the other. Big Mom! Why did everyone think they could just trample on his dignity? Mark was actually infuriated. It doesn't matter if your an emperor or not, don't ever think you can do whatever you want to me! Mark thought with unpleasantness.

"Haha, it seems like we have a guest," Issho said with a laugh while drinking his tea. His observation Haki seemed to have found a figure outside the castle.

"Oh." Mark was a bit surprised by Issho's words.

Suddenly the front door of the castle opened as a figure came skipping in, more like tap dancing.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything." The figure slowly said as he was swinging his hat in his hand while he had a stick in the other. The slim figure had an incredible pale face.

"Haha, you seemed to have entered our territory pretty easily." Mark laughed when he saw the figure.

"It was actually quite hard, esteemed rookie emperor." The figure smiled while tap dancing where he was standing

Yuri, Alice, Flint, Bege, and Fabien were shocked when they noticed someone they didn't know enter the meeting room.

"What is one of the fifth ship commanders of the Blackbeard pirates doing here?"

Satyr jr asked while side glancing at the figure before continuing leaning back on his chair with both his hand on the back of his head.

"You have heard of me, I'm honored." The figure said while bowing to Satyr jr slowly with a smile on his face.

"Laffitte, The Demon Sheriff, right? What do you think Blackbeard will do when he receives his commander's head in a bag" Mark asked with a grin on his face while looking at Laffitte.

"No need for violence, rookie emperor," Laffitte said with a smile of his own. Laffitte suddenly took a transporter snail out from his body as he threw it towards Mark.

Mark grabbed the snail transporter while slowly clicking on the first button.

"Zehahaha!" Blackbeard's laugh rang out from the transporter snail and this caught the attention of everyone sitting inside the castle.

"What do you want?" Mark asked with an irritated voice. This was the last voice he wanted to hear in this world.

"Zehaha, We still have a record to settle!" Blackbeard said with a wicked smile on his face. Blackbeard felt like this was the best opportunity to kill Mark.

"When and where?" Mark asked with an irritated voice. Mark also felt like the time to finish of Blackbeard had finally arrived.

"The old Marineford in paradise, three days from now!" Blackbeard said with a grin on his face while hanging up the transporter snail.

Mark went silent for a moment while leaning back on his chair. Mark stretched his arms to the sides while stretching out his body.

"I guess this is the time I say goodbye." Laffitte slowly said while bowing to Mark.

Mark didn't say anything as he saw Laffitte slowly leaving through the front door.

A gravitational power suddenly came upon Laffitte which threw him towards the ground.

"Arrgh!" Laffite screamed in rage while being pressed towards the ground in an exaggerated manner.

But suddenly something amazing happened as Laffitte grew huge white beautiful wings from his back as he slowly began to rise from the floor and towards the door.

"Forget him, he will die in a couple of days anyway." Mark calmly said while closing his eyes.

Laffitte disappeared through the front door.

"Should we gather the troops?" Satyr jr asked with a serious tone. He felt like this war would probably have a major impact on the world.

"Yes," Mark said while standing up from his chair and walking out through the door expressionless.

Yuri also immediately stood up as she followed behind him. She felt that he shouldn't be alone right now.

The members of the Z pirates didn't move as they had tense expressions on their faces. This battle was going to be their toughest fight yet. They may even lose some of their comrades.

Marineford in the New World.

The world government managed to tap the conversation between Blackbeard and Mark. When pirates on the level of emperors contact each other the world government usually knows about it.

"Bang!"

Sengoku smashed his office table as he stood up. He just received news that Blackbeard and Mark would be fighting in the old Marineford in paradise.

"Are they looking down on us!!" Sengoku screamed towards the two people standing in front of him. If Blackbeard and Mark really did happen to fight at the old Marineford it would be like a slap to the face of the world government. The elders of the world government would never allow the battle to take place at the old Marineford.

"Let me go and finish off these pathetic pirates." Sakazuki, also know by his alias Akainu said with a furious tone.

"Arara, this matter doesn't look simple." Kuzan also is formerly known as Aokiji said slowly while touching his chin. He felt like that there were something more to the reason they choose to battle at the old Marineford.

"Haha, It doesn't matter! We just need to intercept them before they arrive at Marineford!" Akainu continued with an evil laugh as he clenched his fist in excitement.

Just the thought of killing all these pirates in one swoop felt like a dream come true for Akainu.

"Akainu is right! We need to intercept them before they arrive at Marineford." Sengoku said with an enraged face.

"Let us use the Dyna bombs and blow them up and sink they old Marineford with them!" Akainu said while his eyes immediately lit up as his thoughts became more insane.

"Are you insane Sakazuki! Those bombs are our trump cards!" Sengoku was shocked when he heard Akainu asking for mass destruction bombs.

These bombs were kept saved as trump cards against those pirates there were closest to the end point of the world which was the legendary island Raftel where the One Piece was.

It was said each of the Dyna bombs had the power to rival the ancient weapons in terms of mass destruction, and as the Marines' trump card they were considered extremely valuable to them.

Akainu went quite when he heard Sengoku's outburst, he obviously knew the bombs couldn't be used right now. They served a specific purpose.

"Sakazuki, I want you to intercept Blackbeard! Kuzan call Kizaru, I want both of you to stop Mark Z. Matheus! I want both Blackbeard and Mark dead if possible." Sengoku said slowly as he sat down on his chair again with an exhausted frown on his face.

As the world government received the news about the battle they tried to keep it a secret as much as possible but it still somehow managed to travel the world around. Sengoku even suspected that they had a mole in their ranks.

The world was shocked! This battle was going to determine the next emperor of the sea.
