Are You Perhaps His Father?

Mark could be seen laying on a bed with his eyes closed while a beautiful figure could be seen sitting on a chair beside the bed, she had a face full of worry.

"Huh, what happened?" Mark suddenly woke up as he opened his eyes slowly.

What came in front his view was a small gray room which looked quite plain, only a bed and a chair was in the room.

"You finally woke up!!" Yuri screamed with surprise as she stood up from her chair and grabbed Mark's hand slowly and passionately.

"How long was I asleep?" Mark asked while looking at Yuri's concerned face in puzzlement.

"A couple of hours," Yuri answered with a distressed smile. Everyone on the ship was concerned as they were all sitting outside of Mark's room waiting for him to wake up.

Mark smiled as he stood up from the bed and kissed Yuri on her forehead as he then proceeded to walk out of the room.

When Mark appeared on the deck it shook everyone.

"Captain!!" Some of the Z pirates standing on the sides immediately screamed in surprise as their eyes brightened.

The commanders of the ships could be seen sitting on a table in the middle of the deck, playing cards, everyone had a tense expression on their faces as they were waiting patiently for Mark to wake up. A special fruit could also be seen placed carefully on the table Mar walked over and grabbed it and placed it inside of his clothes

"Oh.."Issho was the first to react as he had a surprise and happy smile on his face. Issho really began to enjoy spending his time with the Z pirates as he felt like he gained something important.

"Mark!" Satyr jr had a genuine smile on his face as he looked at Mark cheerfully.

".." Capone Bege let out a huge relieved breath as he saw Mark. Their pirate crew depended quite a lot on Mark.

Alice had a beautiful smile on her face when she saw Mark, but she felt as if something had changed with Mark but she couldn't quite put her finger on what it was.

"Don't just stand there! Come and play some cards!" Flint said with a joyful voice when he saw Mark's actions.

"Haha! I see you guys missed me huh!" Mark laughed when he heard everyone. But as soon as he spoke, anyone with a devil fruit suddenly found themselves unable to use them anymore.

"Hmm.." Issho pushed himself back from his chair as he jumped backward a couple of meters and distanced himself from Mark.

"What's going on?" Satyr jr asked in a surprising manner when he saw Issho's actions.

"Ask him!" Issho said calmly a few meters away as his powers returned to him again. He couldn't use his devil fruit powers when Mark spoke a few words before and this terrified him, he wasn't the only one as everyone with devil fruits found themselves not able to use their abilities when Mark spoke before.

"What's going on with him?" Satyr Jr asked Capone Bege who stood closest to him in a concerned manner.

"He looks different." Capone Bege answered with a bewildered expression.

Mark didn't realize what was going on as he waved his hand in greeting towards the crew members but he suddenly found himself distorting and his limbs kept disappearing one by one.

"Huh!?" Mark looked at his hands which were slowly distorting and disappearing.

"What!?" Everyone found themselves speechless as they noticed Mark slowly dissipating into thin air, then he suddenly vanished completely.

"What the hell happened to the captain!?" Capone Bege looked around as if he wanted to locate Mark's whereabouts.

When Mark disappeared anyone with devil fruits abilities suddely found themselves able to use them again.

Capone Bege wasn't the only one who was shocked by Mark's disappearance into the thin air as Satyr jr also tried to look for Mark.

"Hey! Where did Mark go?" Yuru came running out from the room which Mark was sleeping in before as she questioned the crew members in befuddlement.

"He disappeared..." Capone Bege slowly answered with a petrified look on his face, Mark literally disappeared in front of his face! This was truly horrifying and spine-chilling!

"What do you mean disappeared!? I just talked with him a few minutes ago!" Yuri didn't seem convinced as she kept questioning Capone Bege.

"He is right Yuri, he just disappeared into the thin air!" Satyr jr tried to convince Yuri with a dumbfounded and scared look on his face.

Unknown Island in the New World.

In a bustling city filled with people.

Children who seemed to be around five to eight years old could be seen playing marines vs pirates as they fought back and forth with swords made out of woods.

"Arrgh!"

The air suddenly cracked opened as a figure came tumbling out looking extremely miserable.

"Who is that?" The kids stopped their game as they starred at the mysterious man who just popped out from out of nowhere.

Mark landed on the ground miserably and then sat on the ground as he scratched his head in confusion. What just happened? One moment he was on his ship talking with his friends and in the next moment, he suddenly found himself in an unknown place.

The kids who stood before Mark looked at him with wary faces. This man appeared out of nowhere!

"Haha, don't look so scared." Mark laughed as he saw the children's faces.

"Who are you, uncle?" A boy who had crystal clear eyes and tanned skin with a touch of paleness on his face as he asked Mark. He seemed to look eight years old, he was currently questioning Mark as he pointed at him with an attentive face. He seemed to be the leader of the children as they were all standing behind him vigilantly while looking at Mark.

"Uncle?" Mark was surprised for a second when he heard what the boy called him.

"I'm Mark, what's your name boy?" Mark asked the boy with a friendly smile as he sat crossed legged on the ground.

"Richard D. Worley." The boy answered courteously as he kept his awareness of Mark.

"D?" Mark wasn't really interested in talking with the kids before but then he suddenly heard the boy's name, he was shocked! Then he looked at the boy before him seriously.

"Why do you look so shocked, do you know me? Uncle?" The boy's awareness was top notch as he noticed Mark's change of expression from shocked face to a surprised face and so on.

"No..." Mark answered slowly while side glancing at the boy with the corner of his eye. He was actually quite embarrassed that he showed such an expression to an eight-year-old boy just because of his name.

"You are lying!" The boy continued as he saw Mark's ridiculously expression turn back to normal. He was obviously hiding something, he looked totally suspicious!

"He knows you, Richard? Wait! Is he perhaps your father?" A noisy boy suddenly screamed from behind Richard in realization as if he had suddenly discovered the truth.

"Richard! Your father came back!!" A little girl added quickly as she clapped her hands in happiness.

"..." Mark suddenly had dark lines on his face.
