26 Rude man

A young kid snickered to himself as he held a small pouch in his hands. It felt a little light to him now that he took a closer look at it, but he did not pay it any attention when he snatched the bag. Ducking behind a building and through the alley, the young boy opened the sack up.

What he found shocked him, then enraged him. He tossed the small pouch to the floor.

There was nothing. Not one cent he could use.

His perfect theft could be considered a joke.

Sighing he shook his head. This was a loss, but there would still be plenty of other targets. He just had to hope that his partner had better luck than him.

With nothing to gain for now, the young boy dashed off. Taking all the shortcuts he knew back to his hideout. It took him a while until he reached it, but when he did he noticed another young boy waiting for him. This boy had a red tank top on and jet black hair with freckles on his face.

"Ace!"

The young boy shouted the name of his friend and partner.

Ace tossed over a few coins to the young boy and grinned.

"A hundred berri, that is what I gained. What about you Sabo?"

Ace asked the young boy named Sabo.

Sabo shook his head.

"No luck today. Still, your haul wasn't bad. In two years we should have enough for our ship."

Sabo told Ace.

Hearing that Ace grinned. The two of them were saving up to buy a boat that would take them to sea. Together they would become pirates. Not just normal pirates, but ones whose name would become legendary.

While Ace and Sabo were meeting and talking about their pirating future, on the other side of the Gao Kingdom Buggy was laughing hard.

In his hands were three maps with the location of buried treasure. Three!

Although he still had to check and see if these so called locations were real, he snagged himself three maps. It was like stealing candy from a baby.

A little diversion here, a bit of pickpocketing there and boom! He got three maps.

'I'll give these two away and keep this one to myself. Once the crew sees Wolf is not able to give them what they want, they'll come to good ol Buggy.'

Buggy snickered to himself as he could already see the plan working out.

"Hey Red, what's so funny?"

Alvidia asked Buggy.

He instantly stopped laughing, looked at the young girl and groaned. He forgot about her and her name for him. Red.

Better than Big Nose, or Clown face.

"Don't you have somewhere to be?"

Buggy questioned Alvidia as he quickened his steps.

"But you asked me to follow you."

Buggy did recall he said that. He wanted to use her as a prop, but in the end it turned out he did not need her help at all. She was silent up until now that he forgot all about her.

"Well, I don't need you anymore. Now go, shoo, fly away."

Motioning with his detached hand, Buggy fanned her away.

"No can do. We have to stick together, unless you want everyone to find out about those treasure maps you stole."

Buggy glared at her.

"What treasure maps?"

Buggy asked her as he started to stuff the maps into his shirt.

Because Buggy was looking back at Alvida, he was not paying attention to where he was walking. He ended up bumping into a brown haired man wearing a black suit. He was wearing glasses and had a slick mustache that curled upright.

"Hey, watch it! People have no manners, bumping into others. What are they blind?!"

Buggy complained as he walked past the man.

The man furrowed his brows and grinned his teeth.

"Who the hell do you think you are?"

He yelled as he took the walking stick in his right hand and swung it at Buggy.

Startled by the sudden shout, Buggy turned just in time to see the walking stick coming right at him. His face split into two as the walking stick went past him.

The man was startled by this. How could a human split apart? Was that even possible?

Here in the Gao Kingdom devil fruits were extremely rare, not many knew about them. Their Kingdom had its share of bandits and pirates, but none with abilities like this.

In the man's mind, he saw Buggy as a devil reincarnated.

"That's rude."

Buggy mouth moved but the upper part of his face was floating in the air.

His hand detached itself from his body and Buggy slapped the man hard.

The man fainted. It was unknown if this was due to Buggys strength or the mere sight of what occurred before him. Whatever the case was, Buggy was happy this was done and over with.

"Hey Red, how much for these?"

Alvidia asked.

Buggy looked at her.

"For wha- Give those back, they aren't yours!"

Buggy shouted as he put himself back together. Sometime when he was dealing with the man, Alvida snatched the three treasure maps from him.

"I reckon we can come to some arrangement. These here maps for… let's say a weapon of some kind."

"And what are you going to do with a weapon? Wait, don't answer that."

Buggy picked up the man's walking stick and handed it to Alvida.

"Alright, hand it over."

Alvida eyed the walking stick in Buggys hand.

"And that is…?"

"Your weapon."
