Becoming A Pirate

Koby decided that Zoro would become his first mate in his pirate crew. He liked Zoro in the anime back when he was on Earth, especially Zoro's badass personality and undying loyalty to Luffy.

As Helmeppo started threatening Zoro by using the little girl, Koby decided to act. With a bright flash of light in the surroundings, he punched Helmeppo with a fist covered with lightning, sending him flying out of the restaurant towards the other marines who then caught him and also got electrocuted.

"Fucking scum, tell your father to come here so that I can teach him how to properly raise a son," Koby said.

"You~ you~ you just wait here," said Helmeppo as he ran with the Marines towards the Marine base.

Zoro and the others were shocked as they just witnessed him beat up and threaten the marines.

"Oh no! Captain Morgan is coming, everybody run!"

The townsfolk were all scared and started panicking as the tyrant that rules this town is on his way to the restaurant.

The little girl was also scared as she turned to Koby and told him to leave as the Marine Captain Axe Hand Morgan was a very scary and strong person for her.

"Don't worry, I can beat him," said Koby trying to reassure the panicking little girl.

The little girl was not convinced as her scared face didn't even change. Koby then turned to Zoro.

"So, you're the Pirate Hunter Zoro," he said.

"Yeah, what's it to you?" replied Zoro.

"Let's fight, I want to find out if you're as strong as the rumors say," he said.

"Alright, but don't regret your decision," said Zoro, smirking.

He prepared to fight as he unsheathed his swords and went into his Santoryu (Three Sword Style), with one sword on each hand and his Wado Ichimonji, one of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords, in his mouth.

"Onigiri"

Zoro rushes past Koby and cuts his body in 4 pieces. Thinking that the fight was over, he turned back to witness something unbelievable. Koby turned into lightning and pieced himself back together like nothing ever happened to him.

"Impossible, what just happened?" he exclaimed, shocked by what he saw.

"I'm a lightning man, I ate the logia lightning devil fruit," said Koby.

"Static Bolt"

Koby shot a bolt of lightning at Zoro, destroying the swords in his hands while immobilizing him in the process, and then ending the fight with a lightning kick in the face.

"You're not bad, but you can't even touch me," he said mocking Zoro.

He plans to recruit Zoro by making him interested in how to become strong, like using a carrot in a stick. He wants to use observation and armament haki as an incentive for Zoro to join him.

"You can be touched? Even though you're lightning itself?" ask Zoro unbelievingly.

"Yeah, if you know haki, then you can damage logia devil fruit users," he replied. He then explained to Zoro, the 3 hakis and devil fruits that can be regularly seen only in the Grandline.

As he was about to invite Zoro to join his crew, he got interrupted as the marines arrived. There were a couple of dozens of marines with Captain Morgan leading them and beside him was his son Helmeppo.

"They're over there, daddy, they're the ones that hit me and insulted you," said Helmeppo as he pointed towards the group in the restaurant.

"Who was the one that insulted me and trashed my son?" asked Captain Morgan.

"That would be me and Zoro, and we're gonna beat the crap out of you," said Koby as he pointed at himself and Zoro causing the Captain to be angry and Zoro to be surprised.

"You dare to defy my superiority, execute them for me," ordered Captain Morgan.

The marines charge towards the group with swords in hand with the intent to kill. In response, Zoro unsheathed his swords and fought them.

*Clank *Clank *Clank

The marines were beaten one-sidedly as Zoro just swept through them cutting them down like flies with the only one standing was an angry Captain Morgan and Helmeppo, who's snot are dripping from his nose and his legs shaking.

"Rankless, low-status scum, you have no right to defy me, I'm Marine Captain Axe Hand Morgan!" yelled Captain Morgan as charged towards Zoro.

"Die"

"Lightning Bolt"

"Agghhh"

Before Captain Morgan can reach Zoro, he is hit with a giant lightning bolt made by Koby. Captain Morgan was insta-killed before he could even do anything as his body was charred black, badly burnt by the heat and power of the lightning.

Zoro just looked at the dead body of Captain Morgan then turned his head to Koby, he wasn't even surprised anymore as he knows that Koby is a lightning man.

"Hey, do you want to join my pirate crew?" asked Koby, looking at Zoro expectantly.

"Yeah why not, now that I fought the marines, I'm officially a criminal," said Zoro.

"I'll tell you this right now, while I'm with you, I'm only dedicating myself in fulfilling my ambition," he added.

"Which is?" asked Koby.

"To become the World's Greatest Swordsman!" he said grinning, full of conviction in his voice.

"If I wind up having to give that up along the way, then you'd better accept the responsibility afterward you get to apologize to me," he added.

"That sounds great, the World's Strongest Man wouldn't have any less than that on his crew," replied Koby, full of ambition in his voice as he smiles back.

Koby summoned a dark nimbus cloud in the sky and rummaged through them as he pulled out two swords, the Sandai Kitetsu and the Yubashiri, that he got from Loguetown. He remembers that these swords belong to Zoro in the canon.

"Here, you can have these," he said as he tossed the swords to Zoro.

"Thanks," said Zoro as he was surprised about Koby's ability and the quality of the swords that he just got.

'I guess it wasn't a bad idea to join his crew after all,' he thought as he started playing with his swords.

"By the way, do we have other crew members and a ship?" he asked.

"Nope, I just decided to become a pirate, you're my first mate and for the ship, we're just gonna rob the marines' ship," Koby said with a grin on his face.

Koby then turned his attention to Helmeppo, who was crying his ugly face out and his body shaking from fear. He remembered that in the canon, Helmeppo and Coby were best friends in the Marines, so he decided that he would take him with them to the seas. Since Helmeppo uses Santoryu (Two Sword Styles) in the canon, he decided to let him train with Zoro.

"Hey, do you know where the best marine ship is docked at?" he asked Helmeppo.

"Ye~ Yeah, I know where it is" replied Helmeppo as he was still crying and shaking.

"Then lead the way, we're gonna set sail," he said.

Koby, Zoro, and Helmeppo, who didn't know was about to be kidnapped, went towards the marine ship that they were about to hijack to set sail.

The townsfolk were left there stunned, but then they started celebrating alongside the marines as the tyrant Captain Morgan was finally dead. They were finally free from his tyranny that pervaded their town for many years.
