Luffy sat in the meeting room with Sparky, Gin, Coby, and Zoro on his side going over things. In front of them, Johnny and Yosaku stood with smiles on their face. Though there was a tinge of nervousness in them. But it dwarfed in comparison to the excitement they felt. 

One would assume if you were a pirate, it made things easy. But that was a mistake, if you want to be an organized pirate group. 

Even though, most of the Straw Hats either trained or lazed around. The stronger members of the crew, including the captain, spent a good portion of their time reading through newspapers, or contacting CD Services (the bounty-hunting organization) for updates and any possible news. 

It was good to stay updated with things. Especially with no newspaper coming to the Sky Islands. 

Anyway, the reason why Luffy and the others gathered here was because of Johnny and Yosaku.

"So, you think you are ready, eh?" Luffy said with a grin. Releasing a controlled burst of Haki, just for the dramatics. 

Both Johnny and Yosaku gulped, meeting their captain's eyes and nodded with determination. 

Luffy's grin widened a bit, and the others in the room were also smiling. Luffy walked to the side and took out a chest, before presenting all the fruits available to his crewmates. 

There were four fruits, the yellow-looking cactus was the sand sand fruit, the white-looking apple was the teleportation fruit, the hexagon-looking watermelon was the Griffin fruit, and lastly, the brown looking mango was the newest fruit found in the dungeon by Usopp. Of course, all of them had unique swirly patterns on them. 

Both Johnny and Yosaku looked at the fruits, even though they had decided on what fruit to take, seeing all of them at once made them want to rethink their decisions. All of them were great fruits.

"Captain, what does the new fruit do?" Yosaku asked after a bit of thinking. He would have made a choice before, and he would stick with it. But still, he was curious about the new fruit. 

Luffy picked up the new fruit, the brown mango. Honestly, without the swirly pattern, it wouldn't have looked much different from a rotten mango. "It's the sound sound fruit." Luffy said, "Usopp found it in the dungeon's vault. A fruit that the dungeon was experimenting on… in fact, according to Robin. A few pieces of the technology here was actually made by experimenting with this fruit." 

"So, very useful to a musician…" Yosaku said.

Luffy smiled, "You could say that… but depending on who the user is, it could possibly be the best tool for espionage." Luffy said, remembering about a certain someone who had the silent-silent fruit. "You can not only hide using this fruit, if you quiet yourself down, similar to the invisible tech, depending on your mastery. You might also be able to pick up sounds kilometers away with the fruit, like how Enel used it with his lightning powers to keep tabs on the island of Skypiea." 

Of course, granted that Enel was kind of a prodigy in that regard. And even then, he could only listen to one particular area at a time. 'Hmm… can't Aisa do something similar? The girl has pretty good Observation Haki, wait… so does Coby, but his situation was a bit more hectic in that regard. He currently had yet to get Observation Haki for now…'

"That's… that's amazing." Johnny said, rubbing the back of his neck, "But I will stick to what I have decided… If its not claimed, then I would like the Griffon fruit." 

Luffy smiled, "A mythical zoan, hope the fruit's not wasted on you." He said, before tossing the fruit to Johnny without saying much. 

Luffy wasn't lying when he said that. Could there be better zoan users than Johnny? Probably. But the bounty hunter turned pirate was quite loyal to him. A trait they had gained from following Zoro around all the time. 

So he didn't care if they ate it. Heck, he was even willing to give them the sand or sound fruit if they wanted. One was a powerful logia, while the other was an equally powerful paramecia. 

If Luffy was being honest here, he already had a user in mind for the Teleportation fruit. It would have been badass if Usopp was able to eat the fruit, but he was already badass enough with his size-size fruit. So he had chosen someone else. 

Johnny held the fruit and gulped nervously, he looked at his captain, before looking at Zoro. Both of them nodded and so he quickly swallowed down the whole thing. Johnny almost choked on the watermelon before getting it down, after that he stuck his tongue out in disgust.

"Ugh… what's this thing made out off…" Johnny said, as the others laughed and passed him a water bottle to wash down the taste. 

After that was done Johnny stood up, he looked at himself as he clenched his fist. It was… it was as if there was a power inside of him that wasn't there before. And by instinct, he pulled on it. 

Yosaku took a few steps to the side as Johnny started to grow in size, gaining in height, as brownish golden fur covered his body, with two wings growing on his back. Sharp claws for fingers and an eagle-like head with the mane of a lion around his neck. 

Johnny roared out a screech as he directly went into his half-zoan form. He felt powerful… almost unimaginably powerful. And he felt confident, happiness, and a plethora of other emotions. 

He clenched his fist, feeling the power in them, and he looked at his side in awe at the new limbs, that was a bit weird to control.

"How is it?" Yosaku asked, curious and happy at the same time. Though there was a tinge of jealousy it was overshadowed by the pride he felt in his friend. He had earned it. "How does it feel…?" 

"I… weirdly enough, it feels like I'm wearing a thick jacket, or a suit of armor…" Johnny said, blinking at the voice change. His voice was a bit deeper now, along with a screech to it. "But at the same time I can control it, even better than my normal body parts… weird. But I feel awesome and powerful." 

Gin nodded, "Yeah, I felt something similar as well, it feels like you are wearing some armor of sort, but different. That's the zoan side of things, I guess." He said, as he walked forward, a bit of a predatory grin on his lips, "But I'm curious… Shigan!"

Even though Johnny saw the attack coming, he was a bit too late to react as Gin appeared right in front of him, planting a finger pistol right in his diaphragm. 

"Hey, what was that for?!" Johnny asked, then he blinked as he looked down, there was no wound in his stomach, in fact, Gin was rubbing his fingertip.

"You are durable, that's for sure… might be even more than my Ankylosarus," Gin mumbled.

Right then Zoro spoke, "Duck!"
