34 Chapter 34 Foosha Village

".....Curt, remind me to find a new navigator when we get back." Arch sighed as Bertram docked the boat at the island. On the side Curt nodded, and it was obvious that Cort and Ugo were about to laugh out loud.

"Yo, how could you replace I the mighty Bertram!? Across all the seas I dare you find a man more dashing and gluttonous than me!" He replied with anger before they got off the boat and entered the village.

Walking into town Arch looked around curiously. 'Imagine being the town that not only gave birth to the Marine Hero Garp, but the Revolutionary Dragon and the future Pirate King.' Arch mused as they walked through the village.

Eventually they encountered a villager. "Excuse me, where's the nearest bar?" Bertram asked, clearly tired after the journey and in need of a drink. "Eh, you must be travelers, if you go down this way and take a left there, you'll reach Partys Bar." He explained as he begun pointing around the place.

"Got it, lets go!" Bertram declared excited for what was to come. Seeing this Arch simply let him have his way, after all there wasn't really a proper objective of coming to this island in fact in Arch's eyes it was actually pretty useless.

A few minutes later the group of 6 found themselves sat at a bar as they began drinking. "So what brings you to Foosha Village?" The bartender asked as she cleaned the empty glasses. "Well nothing really its just our navigator here isn't the brightest spark." Arch commented munching on some food.

"What do you mean isn't the brightest spark? I am clearly a very intelligent man!" Bertram replied. "I agree with Arch." Cort added on, Curt and Ugo nodding to the side even Kuina couldn't help but chuckle a bit. Immediately Bertram's face turned red, the man looking to the side in embarrassment.

The bartender chuckled a bit at this sight. "In fact do you happen to have map of the East Blue? I'd be willing to buy it off you." Arch explained looking expectantly at the bartender. They really needed a map of the East Blue, borrowing Koushiro's was only viable for the one time, and with Bertram's skills they needed one.

"Sadly I don't have one but if you head into the main city I am sure you can find a seller, but...." She said looking the group up and down. "You all need new clothes otherwise they won't let you in, or even if they do you'll be given weird looks." She sighed.

Normally one would think she was trying to scam them, but Arch knew better after all he had seen Luffy's backstory. 'She's not wrong, I have my more official clothes in the boat but I'd stand out too much if I were to wear them.' Arch thought before getting out some money.

"Will this be enough?" He asked, sliding the money towards her. Her eyes immediately lit up when she saw the money, but soon it faded after all she wasn't a greedy person but the large amount of money did indeed surprise her.

"Definitely, I am Makino by the way, pleased to meet you all." Makino introduced herself. The the group of 6 then introduced themselves in turn and after that continued drinking. Makino wouldn't be off shift for a while so they decided to continue what they were doing.

"Can I have a beer?" Kuina asked looking towards Arch with puppy dog eyes. "What? No, definitely not, how can I hand an 11 year old a beer in good conscience. Not only that but your father would probably kill me." Arch replied shaking his head.

Seeing that her plan didn't work Kuina merely sighed, she wasn't going to continue pushing the matter. "Don't worry, I'll get you some later." Bertram whispered as he leaned next to her.

"BUM!"

Almost instantly a fist hit Bertram solidly on his head. Curt's fist was smoking after the blow. On the other side Ugo too chimed in. "I agree with Arch, you're too irresponsible Bertram." He sighed before continuing to sip on his orange juice.

'What have I done to deserve this.' Bertram felt like crying, he was bullied by everyone even when he tried to do a good deed.

A few hours later Makino was finally done with her shift, and the group left with her to go buy their clothes.

"So what do you think?" Makino asked, as she looked at the group of 6. Currently the 5 men were dressed in suits while Kuina was dressed in a nice dark blue dress.

"....We're fine." Arch muttered, individually they were fine but when they moved as a unit they looked ridiculous. Arch's suit was white, Bertram's brown, Curt's red, Cort's blue, and Ugo's was green.

They didn't look like clowns but the entire circus. "I am glad that you like them." Makino smiled before moving to the side grabbing more clothes. "Oh and if you don't mind I have to give these clothes to someone, you can follow me if you want so I can lead you to the city afterwards." She continued as she held a bunch of children's clothes.

Having no problems with the idea, the team followed her up a mountain as Arch's expression warped constantly. 'Whatever nothing bad is going to happen, we'll just be in and out, and then go buy a map after that we can go to Logue town buy up some swords and get back to the Kingdom. At worst this entire trip would've taken me 2 weeks and then I can continue developing the country.' Arch told himself as they reached a small clearing with a house in the middle.

"Dadan! I've come with the clothes." Makino yelled, and sometime later a tall overweight lady, with curled orange hair came out of the house. "Ah Makino you've come with the clothes finally." Dadan said before grabbing the basket they were in.

The two then had a brief conversation, before the group was about to leave, when they heard a noise from the forest. "GUM GUM PISTOL!" A scream echoed through the forest as the sound of something, seemingly elastic followed it.
