2 Chapter 00: Reboot: It wasn't a dream

[AN: This is basically a reboot of the story that was going to happen. I explain the reason at the end also and again I won't be working on this for a while because I am working on another fic.

Also for this one, I am thinking of the MC having multiple Epiphet which would indicate his status as a singularity even more. Now he is overpowered but not as much as before which leaves me room to write a reasonably intense battle that does not involve Haki in the beginning.]

[Main Character Point of View]

"You died!"

A being that looked like the Truth from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood said. This is a strange dream I am having.

"You are not dreaming and this is real."

It said proving that this was indeed a dream since that was the only way for it to know what I was thinking.

"*sigh* another one in denial, fine let's say this is a dream instead of you dying after reading the latest chapter of One Piece because I sent Meteor-Kun to your planet too early. You are getting three wishes along with a random perk then you are going to be sent to the One Piece world in the main storyline Era.

It will be at the cost of your knowledge of One Piece World and keep in mind that although your wishes will be relaxed wishing for something such as a Kryptonian body or Super Saiyan Blue will only result in you losing that wish also remember the key to get as much as you want is in the detail of your wish."

Oh, I am having an isekai-themed dream.

"... Sure let's go with that but still make your wishes as if it was real because it is!"

I humored my dream and started thinking about what I would need to survive in the One Piece World. Devil Fruit abilities would be nice but I would rather not lose the ability to swim and also gain a weakness to a specific mineral.

I would need to be overpowered to survive there. Some might think I am exaggerating but even if it is a dream, it does not change the fact that One Piece world is a dangerous place. Forget all the dangers that could come from the bad guys or the environment, all you need to look at to be convinced of this is to look at who is supposed to be the good guys, the Navy.

Being a marine alone sucks because although you can become strong, if trained by the right person, and pat yourself on the back while saying that you protect the innocent, at some point in time if you are unlucky, you will have to choose to compromise your moral standards if you have some once you work under a Celestial Dragon.

Hypothetically, you could be sent to an island to capture a random citizen who was turned into a slave because a Celestial Dragon just felt like having that one as a slave. Assuming you have a moral compass, even if you shove your moral standard deep down and bring the slave to the Celestial Dragon, you are not safe.

A Celestial Dragon can just feel like it and decide to take someone you know as a slave or a concubine. You would have nothing to say else you want to suffer a fate worse than death. As a marine, you will have to obey without a single question, or you could be branded as a criminal if you are not arrested or killed.

Why would anyone fight for an organization that will toss them aside at any moment and that the ones at the top view you as useful tools if and only if you are at the rank of Rear Admiral or above, any rank lower than that and you are garbage to them?

Knowing the World Government, if there is a rumor that you are looking into the void century, you will be branded as a criminal without even needing evidence. I am not guaranteed to be overpowered so why would I join an organization that will throw me away just to make sure the rest of the world does not learn that they fucked up.

I could refuse to kill a child one day only to wake up the next day being branded as a mass murderer who killed an island's worth of population. From my point of view, there is no real need to be a marine if everything you managed to build, or gain can be taken away by the same people you work for.

Also knowing too much or even them thinking that you know too much will get you killed and if you survive you become a wanted fugitive with an evil moniker, regardless of age. A warlord can just straight up ruin your life and the worst they would get would be a slap on the back of their hand.

Also, finish the manga know what the five elders are and you have to be at the rank of Commodore to even gaze at them, less you want your neck to be freed of your head. Like the last words of a marine that saw a five elder was this:

'What the hell is that... is he some kind of monster?!'

My guy literally became self-aware that he was not on the side of good and that blew his mind... both figuratively and literally. Knowing all of this, as a reader, there is no way I would be on the side that proclaims to be good but will end up shafting me for every reason I have listed previously.

"Alright, for my first wish, I would like to have the ability to use Nen like in Hunter X Hunter by customizing my own Nen ability, Hatsu, and it is not possible for others in the One Piece to learn or even access Nen in any way shape or form."

I said to which the truth look-alike nodded before snapping its fingers and a screen appeared in front of me.

"Choose wisely."

It said as I looked at the screen.

[Design your own Nen ability (Hatsu):

Nen Type:

Ability Name:

Description:

Requirements: ]

I took a good ten minutes to think about my Nen ability. I decided to design it with the thought that I would have to face all the dangers of the One Piece World.

[Nen Type: Specialization

Ability Name: Eight-Handled Divergent Emperor's Wheel

Description: An Eight-Handled Wheel tattoo is formed on the user's back, every turn of the wheel signifies that the user has started adapting, or adapted more to the phenomena. The ability to adapt to any and all phenomena works passively and at all times.

The adaptation ability is an ongoing phenomenon it keeps going on till it has "completely" adapted to it and grants the user a new ability to counter the phenomenon that was analyzed and adapted.

This means that after adapting to the phenomena in question, the user gains a new Hatsu ability, nonetheless it is not an instantaneous process. As in, experiencing the phenomenon in question once and a single turn of the wheel does not signify a "complete" adaptation.

The adaptation is based essentially on time. However, the number of times the user experiences the same phenomenon also dictates the time in which it takes to adapt. The user can adapt to more than one phenomenon at the same time but it lengthens the time needed to adapt to all phenomena in question.

The more phenomena that are being adapted at the same time the more time it takes to adapt to each one. However, the user can pause and resume the adaptation process of whichever phenomenon he wishes.

The adaptation process is never truly done. Once the user has adapted to a phenomenon, this ability can make the user adapt more for the user to come up with even more methods to counter or nullify what was adapted.

Once a counter ability has been formed the user can choose to either accept it or refuse it, if the user refuses it, the adaptation speed that will lead to the next counter ability is hastened and the next counter ability will be stronger. This special process will repeat itself until the user accepts a counter ability.

Requirements: Once the user has experienced something – a Devil fruit ability, an attack, a defense, a strong emotion, or anything in general– It begins the process of adaptation. The speed of adaptation is slow but each time the user experiences the same phenomenon that is being adapted, the time required to adapt to it is shortened.]

I decided to pick Mahoraga's ability because I could potentially gain other anime abilities but changed that the wheel would be a tattoo on the back of my character. The one thing that sort of gives away Mahoraga's ability is his wheel above his head.

A clever opponent would understand the ability after witnessing it and in the world of One Piece, there are many ways to get information about someone.

"Overpower though if left alone is weak, that is acceptable. *Snap* Now what is your next wish?"

It asked which I answered almost immediately.

"For my second wish, I would like to have Medaka Kurokami's abnormality (The End) as a talent."

This is a dream so I figured I would just wish for another overpowered wish to prove that I was dreaming since it would be accepted.

"This isn't a dr- *sigh*... I am wasting my breath. For your second wish, it is the same as the first one, overpower though if left alone as in if you spent all of your time doing nothing and lazing around you would not become overpowered. *Snap* Now what is your final wish?"

It asked after snapping its fingers. I thought for a second and realized that I had everything I needed even if it was a dream. I could adapt to pretty much anything and with the End, I could replicate pretty much any techniques or skills I saw or heard about in great detail.

I came to the conclusion that I had not picked a race or gender yet and I remembered hearing about fan fiction where the main character forgot about that and became a woman. I decided to pick them but also took into consideration the fact that they could not be too overpowered.

"For my final wish, I would like to be a full Fanalis with an appearance similar to Chika Shihōin from Bleach as a boy and not being cloned by others."

I picked the Fanalis because they basically have the strength of a One Piece Giant in the body of a regular human.

"It is good that you picked a relatively strong race but not too strong to waste your wish by having it canceled. *Snap* Now onto the random perk!"

A roulette appeared in front of me and began to spin until it stopped allowing me to see what the random Perk was.

[Perk: The Flow of All Things (Sinbad from Magi)]

In the world of One Piece, it is crucial to be able to sail through the sea else you could die. With this ability, Sinbad escaped deadly storms that would have otherwise capsized most other sailors, thus gaining him the title "Sinbad the Sailor". I also heard a theory that it also led him to make the best decisions and as if to prove my point, it spoke.

"That is a pretty good perk considering where you will be going-... Oh, that's right! I forgot to return the memory of your death! Here *Snap*."

As I heard the snap, I remembered how I died, and before I could even say a full sentence, the truth look-alike cut me off.

"T-T-This is-"

"SPARTA!"

That was all I heard before feeling myself getting kicked in the gut and sent flying away as I blacked out.

[AN: Again, I wanted to post this before someone else has the same idea of Mahoraga's adaptability as a Nen ability. I won't write the fiction right now since I am busy with another fic of mine and I want to give myself some time to think about the story since I was planning on making an AU to make it less predictable plot wise but

Here is the reason why it changed:

Every time I thought of the MC facing the Straw hats, I could not see them win and I did not want to see them lose... I'm too much of a One Piece fan for that especially since I was planning on making the MC represent the dark facade of the One Piece World. So he will be joining the Straw Hats after a while.

Want more? Like Thanos, I want those STONES!!!]
