7 Pirate hunting

l woke up the next day in the hotel at noon, much more refreshed than I was last night. It took me hours to calm myself down after yesterday's debacle and finally shei.

Yesterday's fight made me realise more clearly than ever that the world I am in right now is very real. The monotonous lifestyle that i had led so far, drunk on increasing my power had led me unconsciously treating this life as if it was a dream.

In fact, now, this world seems more real to me than even my previous world since I haven't lived that long in that world and well... killing is an experience that is tiers above anything in my previous life. I was even a virgin back then so, not even that.

I checked out of the hotel and walked towards the dockyard to buy a new ship since Kuro's ship was completely destroyed via flying Kuro.

Kuro's ship at the docks seem to be in the same exact condition I left it.

It seems that nobody in the town was Brave enough to go anywhere near the ship of the notorious black cat pirates since they where apperently known for the massacre of innocents when provoked.

These talks around the village that I could hear using haki helped me ease my guilt for actually taking away the lives of dozens of people. My moral compass started to shift then towards monsters category rather than people.

I guess it might help me keep my emotions and morals and stop me from going full psycho.....I hope.

Since no one went inside and took anything, I decided to go inside myself to salvage the cash and the more valuable stuff in the ship.I was able to find and collect the most valuable gold and gems along with the cash in a bag in a few minutes with the help of haki. There were around 50 million of value combined which with the bounties make me quite rich.

I slugged the bag with me over my shoulder and walked towards the part of the dockyards with shipwrights to discuss with them a suitable ship I can buy.

I walked towards an old man who have been observing me for quite some time now from the point of me entering Kuro's ship.

"You have been watching me for quite some time old man...."

"You're the kid who destroyed that pirate ship yesterday"

" Oh... You saw that? Why didn't you take the money in the ship if you knew they were defeated"

"Well it's not something I earned with my own skills, and you deserve it anyway since you defeated them. Are you even a kid anyway? Such strength enough to send people flying and destroying ships is just monstrous"

"Oh I try,... anyway, I need a fast ship for one or maybey two people with the best and strongest wood you have available. Money is a non-issue... probably."

"I have just the ship for your actually, follow me"

He led me towards a red color toned ship that looked quite weird actually. The ships itself was quite small just around 12 meters long and 4 meters wide with a single small room with a bed and cartographic equipment.

The abnormal part of the ship was it's 3 gigantic sails that looked entirely disproportionate to the ship, wider than the ship and taller than the legth of the ship.

"This ship is a design I'm very proud of, but it's been here for a long time since the capacity for crew is very low and it needs quite so hands to hoist the heavy sails and nobody wants to buy it. You though, are made for this ship with your strength operating this will be easy"

The ship looked strangely intimidating with it's red colored wood and huge sails.I suddenly got an idea for a slight modification.

"Can you paint the sails completely blood red?, I am going to start my business as a pirate hunter with this ship you see"

The old man slowly gained a giddy grin,

"That is a great idea, You are going to make some big waves indeed kid. It'll take me a few hours though"

"Take your time..."

A few hours of meditation later, I was greeted by my new ship looking entirely terrifying, perfectly to my tastes.

"I Christen you with the name of 'The Avenger' "

Yeah I know it's a total ripoff but sue me, besides I think the name is fitting.

This ship will be a symbol of deterrence that will strike fear into the hearts of evil. Both pirates and currupt governments will remember this ship when they think of doing evil.

Lol I sound so naive and cliche, but it is at least kind of true anyway.

The ship cost me a even 30 million beli. I decided to take my ship and head towards conomi Island where arlong must have settled and made his arlong park by now.

I would stop by any and all island anywhere even remotely close to the path towards conomi Island and fight any pirates I find at the islands or at the sea.

I slept on the ship for the night and headed out the next day for my journey as a 'pirate hunter'.... unless some corrupt marine forces me to become pirate anyway, fingers crossed.

Just like that,A month passed before I started nearing conomi Islands.I had stopped by at around 15 Islands, defeating more than 25 pirate groups. I have become quite famous at this point actually.

Contrary to most pirates hunters though, I was both infamous and also beloved by most of the East Blue due to the sheer number of pirates I had put down. I guess saving so many villages and cities will do that.

I had put down more pirates in a month than the combined marine in the whole of East Blue in a whole year. I had gained a Nick name though which I'm not sure what to feel about.

From my name and the whole red theme, the name I got was...'Red Robin'

Sometimes I think that the R.O.B is actively watching and interfering with the world as some kind of joke. Screw that, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's happening. Even though the name is funny for me, the pirates seem to fear it so...eh.

So far I haven't really encountered any truly evil currupt Marine officer, so my career as a pirate hunter is completely safe for now.

I was hoping to run into don kreig and his crew since they where the 'strongest' and largest crew in East Blue but Unfortunately I had no luck and all the pirates where just weak fodder that can't even hold a candle to the black cat pirates.

The combined bounty of most of them where lower than 10 million, the highest among them barely reaching 20 million. Raiding all their money along with their bounties have made me quite rich.

I had around 600 million of value in my storage area inside the ship which is almost half full by now. I didn't really need the money for anything other than food so I decided to give the 100 million to nami when I reach conomi Island to see what will happen. She does need to see Arlong's true colours sooner rather than later.

All the pirate I hunted so fast was just regular old pirates, stealing, killing, raping, etc and I haven't come across a single pirate that's just out for some freedom and adventure.

I just find Oda's and luffy's idealizing of pirates being just people seeking adventure just disturbing now and just made me detest pirates more and more. Maybey it's because this is East Blue and there is no 'adventuring' to be done anyway.

I played judge and executioner with all the pirates according to the severity of their crimes. All the killing has made me much more jaded towards it and all the judging has also stabilized my morality crysis. I even feel like my haki has become much stronger.

My strength has grown to around 2000 doriki with the last month of training. My observation haki is now much stronger and finer allowing me to analyse muscle movements to predict future actions before it happens.

I was able to learn soru or at least I think it's soru, to an intermediate level and am only able to use soru on land and not on air.I was able to remove all the useless crutch movements in Pussyfoot manuever and was able to create soru.I repeat my earlier statement, physics in this world is bullshit, Some footwork somehow stores energy and releases it in a burst. Even though I can use it, I have no idea how it works.

The biggest development though is in my armament haki which seem to have gone up a level and I'm able to blacken my hands and legs with Armour around 30 percent of the time.

I was kind of excited to see fishmen in real life since it will be my first encounter with the more fantastical parts of this world. I restricted my haki so that I can fully appreciate their looks when I finally see them face to face. As I got closer to the island, my smile widened with anticipation.
