First Foray Into The Trial Grounds

I wake up from the day before and the first thing I do is try to enter the trial grounds. I appear in an open black expanse, about ten meters away from me is a pedestal with a devil fruit and a book on top of it. I then feel information flow into my brain. All I have to do is reach the pedestal and then the book and fruit will be mine.

Honestly if I did not take the wind devil fruit, I would not be able to accomplish first test so easily. Ten meters is a lot for a newborn baby to crawl, Even with the past two months of secretly cultivating, I still would have had to wait until I was at least five months old to complete the test, because I would have to crawl to it, not to mention it is two meters off the ground.

I then slowly start to surround my small body with wind, slowly at first, but I quickly get the hang of it with my immense comprehensive abilities. After about a minute I am floating two meters off the ground, making my way over to the pedestal, Finally landing on it.

I look at the title of the book 'Second Realm' and think about its odd name. I use wind to open it up and start reading. The more I read the bigger my eyes get, it is a secret technique! For Devil fruit! As long as someone has the space devil fruit, they can open a special type of "Realm" where they can store things.

It cost energy to expand it, also the larger it is the more energy it cost to open it. So if I make it too big, then I will not be able to open it. I turn to look at the fruit next to me, and I know it the space devil fruit. Without hesitation I take a big bite, momentarily forgetting my earlier cautiousness about the taste and end up gagging in pain at its horrible taste.

I am quickly returned back to the real world in the same position as before. My body is still too weak so I decide to start circulating my special circulation technique. Luckily I do not need to eat, or I would probably already be dead. I decide to spend a full year focusing on just cultivating non-stop, unlike some protagonist who always get distracted. I mean, I have twenty years before the action starts.

It has been a year, my body still looks like a normal one year old, yet I could probably fight off several normal adults. I decide that I am immensely board, and decide to start reading through the journal my father left me. I start to read through the first personal bit, and it is mostly just my father telling me my name, and that if I want to seek them out, I must be able to make it to the new world.

I get really frustrated at this point, thinking about how stupid my father must be, 'WHO EXPECTS A CHILD ON A DESERTED ISLAND TO KNOW HOW TO READ!' I then continue to read and find they are mostly techniques for fighting without a weapon, and a few secret techniques. There are two that really interest me, One is that it teaches you how to use the first two Haki, Observation Haki and Armament Haki.

The second one is very peculiar, because it requires the use of Armament Haki, and a very strong body, it is called 'Ancient Giant Transformation' It essentially allows a person to become twelve times their size, Rivaling even the largest of giants. The only restriction on this, is that I cannot use it until my body fully develops.

At one year old I decide to start completely focusing on Observation Haki, I found out that with my comprehensive ability and physique, I run into almost no bottlenecks as long as I know the general direction. I slowly start to follow the methods of learning observation haki.

After one and a half years, I finally completely mastered the sense function of Observation Haki, It took me longer because I wanted to cover the whole island, and damn this place is scary. There are probably only around 1,000 beast on this island, but they are MASSIVE, and strong too. Also there was one area where it just felt like my sense (Changing observation haki to 'Sense' For easier writing) was just being devoured.

I decide to make a mental note to check out that area in the future. Now I am two and a half years old and I decide that it is time for me to look into the second area of the trial grounds, even if I cannot pass it, I can just leave.

I appear in the familiar black expanse, but in front of me is a being made of pure white, while I am wondering what the test is, I get the knowledge on what I need to accomplish, I need to survive for thirty seconds. Before I can even comprehend what is going on, a white circle appears around us and the being sprints forward and directly kicks me out, sending me out from the trial grounds.

I am angered at myself for not being more prepared, even if I have amazing comprehensive abilities, and a perfect physique, that means nothing with no experience. I decide to take a rest for tonight then start training with armament haki and fighting things on the island.
