3 Arrogance

The Scar pirate spoke in a cold, assertive tone, "If you beg, I might consider forgiving you."

It was evident to Sebastian what the Scar Pirate was up to. At this juncture, making an enemy of Kaido was far from wise. Sebastian needed the support of the Beasts to grow stronger. But it doesn't mean that anyone can boss him around.

The Scar Pirate's countenance gradually darkened, his anger simmering beneath the surface. He intended to teach this insubordinate newbie crew member a lesson.

"Allow me to enlighten you about the rules of the Pirate World."

Two bowls of soup splattered on the ground, shattering into eight fragments.

"Well, why didn't you catch them? Were you aiming to create Boss Queen's signature soup?" The Scar Pirate smirked maliciously.

In the world of pirates, fairness was a scarce commodity. The words of the strong held sway, and the weak had no choice but to bend to their will. In the Scar Pirate's view, he was superior to Sebastian, and thus, framing him was fair game.

"Kid, if you persist, you'll incur Boss Queen's wrath."

The Scar Pirate found it puzzling that Sebastian remained composed. Wasn't he frightened? This was Boss Queen's favourite Soup! Offending her would leave no room for salvation unless master Kaido intervened.

Aren't you panicking?

No reaction?

The Scar Pirate extended a hand and patted Sebastian's shoulder. "Hey, kid! What's going through that head of yours?"

A slender arm seized the Scar Pirate's wrist.

"Two words, Fuck You!" Sebastian's eyes were frigid.

The Scar Pirate seethed, shouting, "Let go of me!"

He exerted all his strength in an attempt to pull his arm free, but it remained immovable.

"Wrestling? Kid, by the time I took to the seas, you were still playing in the mud!"

The Scar Pirate fumed and exerted all his might, yet his arm remained motionless.

"Impossible! How old are you? How can you be this strong?"

"I'm an official member of the Beasts Pirates, while you're just a cadet!"

The Scar Pirate bellowed, but his rage and shouts couldn't bridge the power gap. Gradually, a sharp pain emanated from his wrist as Sebastian's immense strength threatened to crush it.

"Is this the standard of an official crew member? It's disappointingly feeble," Sebastian commented casually. His nonchalance made it evident that he hadn't exerted his full power.

"Damn it! You leave me no choice!" The Scar Pirate swiftly drew a long knife with his free hand.

Without hesitation or mercy, he aimed a slashing strike directly at Sebastian's neck.

A resounding clash of metal filled the air, and much to everyone's astonishment, Sebastian's neck remained unscathed. His long knife couldn't even make a dent. Sebastian couldn't help but taunt, "Is that the best you've got? Just a little strength like that?"

The scar pirate, on the other hand, was utterly terrified. His tiger-mouthed blade was now dripping with his own blood due to the excessive force he had applied. He raised the knife, inspecting it closely, only to find a noticeable gap in the blade. How could someone's skin be harder than a sharp blade?

The onlookers were left dumbfounded. The turn of events was nothing like what they had expected. They had assumed that Sebastian would be swiftly overwhelmed by the Scar Pirates, enduring humiliation before facing the wrath of BossQueen.

But Sebastian had revealed a formidable power that none of them had foreseen. The scar pirate, once intimidating, appeared as helpless as an ant before him. His blade had sliced Sebastian's neck without leaving the slightest mark.

"What an extraordinary rookie crew member! Could he be another prodigy like Miss Ulti?" one pirate mused.

"Impossible. He can't hold a candle to Miss Ulti. Even though Miss Ulti is just seventeen, she's already quite formidable. Boss Queen mentioned she'd become a true warrior in less than two years and might even rise to be a big billboard!"

"This kid looks barely fifteen or sixteen, very young, maybe the same age as Miss Runti."

"This time, Scarface encountered someone ruthless. This kid isn't to be trifled with, and he won't let him off lightly."

"Did you see the gap in Scarface's knife? This kid really blocked a sword with his skin! He wasn't boasting!"

Discussions buzzed around, but doubts lingered about whether Sebastian possessed the same talent as Linlin. After all, there was only one "steel balloon" in the entire ocean.

Nonchalantly, Sebastian addressed the situation. "This is how things go in the pirate world, and that's that."

With a firm grip, he elicited a resounding click, and the Scar Pirate's wrist sagged, the bones crushed under his might.

"Ahhh!"

Crash!

The long knife clattered to the ground, and the scar pirate's remaining hand clung to his injured wrist, unleashing agonizing howls.

"Damn it! You dare lay a hand on an official crew member! Aren't you afraid of master Kaido's retribution?" The Scar Pirate's forehead glistened with cold sweat, his face contorted by pain, his eyes burning with venom like a demon from the depths of hell.

And then, with a resonant boom, Sebastian seized the Scar Pirate's neck, gradually applying pressure.

"Kaido doesn't even spare a glance for trash like you," Sebastian remarked, his tone devoid of any formalities. He knew Kaido well, and informality was the rule of the day in Kaido's domain. The boss didn't care if his subordinates butted heads.
