6 Chapter six- the beat down begins

As they walked on Gabriel heard the familiar bell chime in his ear before a screen came up in his vision, he only glanced at it before accepting it, it went without saying that he was going to do it.

Quest: Fishmen beat down

Goals:

Defeat 10 fishman pirates

Defeat 1 of Arlongs Lieutenants

Reward: 100AP, 1TP, System shop unlocked

As they continued walking Zoro glanced his way and arched an eyebrow at him. "Who are you?" He asked in a direct tone.

"Gabriel, just joined a while ago, Luffy can explain once we've dealt with these punks and we can save the introduction until then too" Gabriel stated as they continued to walk on.

"Fine with me, as long as you can pull your weight" Zoro responded.

Gabriel smirked, "you don't have to worry about me in that department" he assured him but kept his eyes forward as they walked on, it wasn't long until the tower that is Arlong Park came into sight, where the villagers had already gathered at the gates but were stopped by Johnny and Yosaku with their swords baring the way.

"Stand aside" Luffy spoke as they neared them and the villagers parted letting them through to the gate before Luffy moved ahead of them and pulled back his fists and with two blows blew the stone gates to pieces.

Gabriel smirked at the sight, he was impressed by Luffy's strength, he wasn't sure if even he could do that with his current strength but made a not to fix that in the future before following Luffy into the compound.

"What's going on," they heard a deep voice ask as the dust began to clear.

Gabriel could see Arlong relaxing in his deck chair under the shade of the tower, he held back and let Luffy approach first.

"Which one of you is Arlong" Luffy asked his voice hard as steel.

"Arlong?" Arlong asked mockingly, "we'll that just happens to be my name"

"Good you can call me Luffy" Luffy stated as he cracked his knuckles

When two fishmen moved to block them he stepped forward, "I got this" he said as he passed Luffy and reached out crossing his arms to grab both of the fishmen a hands that they were blocking them with and yanked on them hard.

The action pulled them both into one another head first, before he let go and gave the pair a back hand that knocked them both sprawling out onto the ground.

"He doesn't have time for little guppies like you lot, but if you want to play I'm more than happy to oblige you," Gabriel said giving the lot of them a dark look, "but fair warning, I play for keeps"

"Big words," Gabriel heard Arlong say from his seat, "so who are you all supposed to be"

"Pirates," Luffy stated before drawing back his fist and slugging the blue fishman hard in the jaw and launching him halfway across the compound and crashing into the wall on the other side. "That's for making our navigator cry!"

"Arlong!" The other fishmen yelled before they started to move towards Luffy all with anger in their eyes at what he had just done.

���Didn't you hear me before," Gabriel started as he walked over crossing the path of the first fishmen.

"Out of my way" the fishmen yelled and threw a punch at Gabriel only for his eyes to widen as the punch passed straight through him like he was a ghost, "what!"

Gabriel smirked darkly and stepped forward, "if you want to play then let's go" before he drove his fist up into the chin of the fishman knocking him off his feet before he carried through grabbing his jaw and slamming him to the ground hard and cracking the concrete ground beneath him.

This action made all of the other fishmen pirates freeze as Gabriel stood to his feet.

"Good I have your attention now, let's dance" Gabriel stated before he charged towards the next fishman.

The movement made the fishmen unfreeze as they realised they were being attacked and they began charging as well.

Gabriel met the next by ducking under his fist and driving his own fist into his stomach and launching him backwards, before side stepping a sword slash from the third and stepping forward and driving his fist into that fishmans face only for a fourth to charge him from the side.

The other straw hats watched from the entrance while Gabriel fought.

"This new guys a show off" Sanji said as he exhailed a cloud of smoke from his mouth.

"At least he can fight," Zoro commented as he watched Gabriel move out of another attack.

"Ah shouldn't we help him" Usopp asked as he looked at Gabriel being ganged up on by three fishmen in swords.

"Tsk, I got…" Zoro said as he stepped forward with his hand on his sword ready to back Gabriel up only to stop as the three of them watched the swords fall and pass through Gabriel like he wasn't there.

"What the hell" the three straw hats all thought as one, a sentiment shared by the three fishmen as they watched their swords strike nothing but air.

Gabriel smirked, "nice try, my turn" he said with a light sheen of sweat on his forehead from the effort of all the fighting.

Stepping forward he drew back his fist that seemed to shake rabidly as he thrust it forward with effort, "Shatter fist" slamming it into each of the fishmen in rapid succession the impact causing parts of their bodies to cave in as they flew back each with blood spewing from their mouths as they fell unconscious.

The rest of the fishmen crew backed up with wide eyes seeing the ring of their crew mates around Gabriel each knocked out.

"Devil fruit" one of them muttered as the murmur passed around the compound.

Gabriel grinned as he collected himself glad for the breathing room now after fighting so many, "good guess" he said rather pleased with himself.

While his fruits powers were contained to his body that didn't mean they were useless in battle as he had first initially thought. His fruits abilities afforded him some defences capability where he can actually phase himself through enemy attacks for a few seconds making himself untouchable though using such an ability was heavy on his stamina at the moment, he could also make parts of his body to shake rapidly and when delivering a blow the hit was like multiple strikes all in the same spot, again taxing on his stamina but the results were undeniably effective.

Seeing Gabriel was too strong for them to beat easily the fishmen looked to Luffy thinking he was an easier target, the closest ones charged at him only to be met with a bunch of flying kicks courtesy of Sanji who sent them all flying.

"Don't get in my Captains way, he doesn't have time for little punks like you lot" Sanji said as he landed and glared at the fishmen.

Gabriel smirked at the sight, "thanks for the backup, all these guys were getting annoying"

Sanji snorted as he looked at Gabriel, "whatever, just don't go hogging all the action, we all have a beef with these guys"

Gabriel nodded in understanding, "fair enough, just wanted to prove I could handle myself being the new guy and all"

"I'd say you more than proved that" Zoro commented as he came onto the scene

"And I don't mind if you wanna hog them all" Usopp added in his two bits as he came up behind Zoro

Seeing Usopp with Zoro the still standing fishmen began to mutter amongst themselves confused after all they had seen Nami supposedly "kill" Usopp before but yet here he was the Zoro how had broken free of them and cut up a bunch of them earlier and some started to put it together.

"So it seems Nami was a traitor all along" Kuroobi growled as he looked at the lot of them with a hard glare.

"Now it's starting to make sense" Arlong said with a grin, "you lot have been after Nami this whole time, well too bad she's mine and I'm not giving her up!"

Hearing that Hatchan started to laugh as he walked over, "ha a bunch of idiots like you aren't worth Arlongs time, we know just how to deal with you lot" he claimed before turning to face the ocean and started to let out a trumpeting sound from his mouth.

The next second the waters of the pool began to quake and the ground began to shake making all of the villagers afraid of what was coming.

The straw hats looked and Gabriel knew grinned knowing that half of them had already met the supposed monster that was coming.

"Momoo rise!" Hatchan yelled out as the water broke and the large form of the cow sea king rose up with tears in its eyes and a large bump on his forehead. That sight made Hatchan blink, "what, what happened to you Momoo"

"Oh so it's you" Sanji stated recognising the large sea cow.

"So you're a member of these guys hm" Luffy added as well.

Momoo upon seeing both of them froze his eyes wide before instantly turning and started to swim away as fast as he could. He was so fast in fact that Arlong didn't even have a chance to speak before Momoo had submerged and was gone completely.

Gabriel arched an eyebrow at that and smirked, it seemed the system was getting involved again he knew that if Arlong had time to speak Momoo would have proven to be more afraid of him than the straw hats and would have fought and as a result Luffy would have gotten stuck from his method of dealing with him and would have gotten held up after. Now though things were going to go a lot faster with Luffy not getting trapped.
