7 Chapter seven- pick your opponent

Seeing Momoo disappear into the ocean Arlong finally rose to his feet, "useless creature, I'll deal with it later"

As he rose his three lieutenants came forward guessing his intentions.

"Hold on a minute, if you fight them here then all of Arlong Park will be destroyed" Hatchan told him waving his six arms in the air in exaggeration.

"He's right sir, just let us take care of them, you shouldn't bother yourself with such small matters" Kuroobi told him respectfully knowing how his captain got when he was enraged.

"Right, there such small fries we can handle them easily-chu" Chew spoke up with his arms crossed.

Arlong regarded them with a grown in his throat before grinning and letting out a laugh like he had just remember a great joke, "you're right they're hardly worth my time, puny humans, take care of them you three"

Gabriel for his part frowned, he remembered that his quest said that he had to beat one of the lieutenants as well but he didn't know which one to go for out of those three.

"I'll start then," Hatchan said as his chest puffed up, "zero vision Hatchi ink jet" before spewing a torrent of black ink from his mouth towards them.

The five of them reacted, Usopp backing away in a hurry while Zoro, Sanji, Luffy and Gabriel all jumped just out of range of the ink.

"Alright call out your opponent's lads it's beat down time" Gabriel said as both sides faced each other.

"Arlongs mine" Luffy growled as he gritted his teeth as he glared at Arlong in the back.

"I'll take the stingray," Sanji exhaled, "I don't like how he was talking about Nami earlier"

"I'll take the octopus; he doesn't look like a swordsman, but those six arms should prove to be interesting" Zoro said as he unsheathed his sword.

"I'm good" Usopp called from where he was standing behind a pillar near the gate.

Gabriel nodded and eyed Chew, "guess that leaves me and long nose with blonde over there, fine with me" he commented as he cracked his knuckles. He knew that Chew was originally meant to be Usopps opponent but there didn't seem to be any point to getting into a fight with either Zoro or Sanji over their opponents, and he had already told Luffy he could have Arlong.

"Hey, I said I'm fine" Usopp called in complaint.

"Then just keep back and give me long ranges support then and leave the fighting to me" Gabriel called over with a sigh.

"Oh okay then! I can do that!" Usopp yelled, giving him the thumbs up.

"Good let's get started already" Gabriel said as he clenched his fists and charged towards Chew.

"Impatient one isn't he" Hatchan commented seeing Gabriel running at them.

"Eager to die more like" Kuroobi added with a smirk.

"I'll show him his place-chu" Chew commented as he stepped forward to meet Gabriel as he drew his head back, "water gun" he said before shooting a high speed stream of water from his mouth at Gabriel.

Gabriel saw the attack coming and ducked his head as it shot over him and kept moving, "missed" he said before throwing a shaking fist at Chew.

Chew instantly stepped back to dodge it, "don't think I'm an idiot, I saw what you did before, I don't know what you're powers are but I'm not going to let you hit me" he said as Gabriel came at him and one punch after the other.

Gabriel scowled with his current limitations he could only attack at close range, if he couldn't hit this bastard he wasn't going to win.

After Gabriel missed for a seventh time in a row he gritted his teeth as he felt the drain on his stamina, even if he wasn't landing any hits, keeping himself shaking for so long was really starting to tire him out.

Chew smirked, "what's wrong running low on steam alread.." he began to speak only to be cut off when he was hit by surprise as a lead ball slammed into his forehead at high speed.

Seeing his chance Gabriel stepped forward and threw his punch again, "shattering fist"

But Chew heard his attack and tried to move out of the way, in the end he only managed to clip his shoulder, but it was enough to make Chew hiss in pain.

"Ha you can't dodge both of us at the same time!" Usopp proclaimed proudly from his position at the far back.

Chew glared at him angrily, "I get it so you must want to die first" he said before letting off a stream of water towards Usopp who jumped out of the way as the stream cut through the stone pillar he had been hiding behind.

Usopp seeing that let out a yell and took off running out of the park in fear Chew growled and started running off after him.

Gabriel who was already starting to pant from the drain on his energy saw this and cursed, "damn it, get back here" he yells and started running after the pair of them.

Time skip

Gabriel was running as fast as he could panting heavily as he tried to keep the pair of them in his sights but they were running so fast he knew he wasn't going to have enough energy to fight even if he did catch up with them.

He gritted his teeth as he tried to think what he could do and thought for a moment before it came to him, he only hoped that it would work the way that he thought it would and mentally opened up his system menu.

He still had one talent point left and sixty attribute points and he decided just where to spend them, "unlock combat Stamina, put sixty points into combat stamina" he voiced and watched as the icon gained colour and his points were put into it before he closed the screen.

Almost instantly he felt like he had taken a four-hour nap, his limbs felt lighter and he felt the energy course through him and with it he quickened his pace running harder. It was just like he thought and could not help the grin that came to his face.

It didn't take him long after that to catch up to Chew and Usopp who was still running way out in front.

"Don't ignore me!" Gabriel yelled as he came up from behind Chew and threw a punch towards the small of his back, his fist shaking with new power.

Chew heard him and pushed himself forward in a leap as he turned just dodging the punch, "Chu, fine then have it your way" he said before letting several streams of water shoot out of his mouth at him at the same time.

Gabriel saw them coming and with an effort of focus made his body vibrate as a whole once more and let them pass through him, the moment they did he focused his powers on his fists and charged again.

Chew threw himself to the side to avoid his attack scowling, "you don't learn do you"

Gabriel smirked, "I learn more than you think, Now!"

Chew arched an eyebrow at his statement before he heard the twang of Usopps sling shot and raised his hands to block the troublesome lead projectiles.

Seeing his chance Gabriel moved forward faster this time now that he wasn't as tired as before and drove his fist into Chews gut.

Chew let out a grunt of pain as he felt his stomach take the shaking fist hard and stumbled back, but Gabriel didn't give him a chance to catch his breath and stepped forward again and drove his open vibrating palm hard into his nose and he heard the tell tail crunch of bone as he did so before chew flew backwards and landed sprawled, blood flowing from his nose and mouth, his eyes rolled to the top of his skull.

Seeing that he wasn't going to be getting up again Gabriel let out a sigh of relief and unclenched his fists as he stood up straight just as the familiar bell sounded in his ear.

Ten fishmen pirates defeated, 5AP each

Chew of the Arlong pirates has been defeated,

First time Bounty of 5,500,000 defeated, reward of 1TP and 80AP have been added to user profile

Gabriel looked at that screen for a moment before a small smirk came to his face, it looked like the system would reward him for beating those with strength, he'd have to keep that in mind and look to see if there was any information in his system menu about just what the limits are.

As he thought that another bell sounded in his ear and another screen came up making his smile grow.

Quest Completed: Fishmen beat down

Goals:

Defeat 10 fishman pirates

Defeat 1 of Arlongs Lieutenants

Reward: 100AP, 1TP, System shop unlocked

Now that sounded good to him, he wanted to check out the system shop right away because it sounded interesting and knew that there might be some good stuff for sale but held off on it for now, he would have time later to look into it and closed the screens away just as Usopp came over.

"Did, did we win" Usopp asked with his chest heaving from all the running.

"Looks like it, thanks for the assist there, I was getting annoyed with him dodging all my attacks" Gabriel said as he held out his hand to Usopp, "Name's Gabriel"

"No worries, you can call me captain Usopp" Usopp stated as he shook Gabriel's hand.

"I think I'll just go with Usopp, Luffy is captain last I checked" Gabriel chuckled, "come on lets go back and see if the others have won their fights yet"

"Sure," Usopp agreed as they started walking back, "So you ate a devil fruit hm, same as Luffy then"

"Oh Luffy ate one as well hm? What kind?" Gabriel asked keeping up his act.

"One that turns him into rubber, he can stretch really far its awesome, what about you" Ussop explained and asked.

Gabriel held up his hand that started to shake fast, "The Yure-Yure no mi, Basically I can make my body shake really hard and fast, it lets me avoid physical attacks and when I use it to attack its like I'm hitting someone really hard multiple times instead of just once, it can do more I'm sure but I haven't had my abilities long"

"Damn that sounds cool, especially avoiding attacks like that, I saw it was like they just passed right through you, can you pass through anything like that?" Usopp asked.

Gabriel shrugged, "I'm not sure, vibrating my whole body at the same time like that is really taxing on my stamina, I can only do it for a couple of seconds any longer and I'd exhaust myself so I have to time when I vibrate just right and make sure that I don't stop vibrating when anything is inside me, if I stop shaking and that happens…" he said before shivering a little, "I don't want to think of the results"

Usopp shivered, "yeah I take it back that part doesn't sound so awesome."
