15 Chapter fifteen- Revenge of the clown

It took him longer than the first time to find the execution platform in the centre of town, given all the twists and turns he had taken in the chase to get away from Smoker he had really turned himself around and by the time he finally found it things were well under way.

Luffy was pinned to the top of the execution platform with Buggy standing at the ready with a sword ready to execute him and Zoro and Sanji had just begun fighting with the Buggy pirates on the ground.

'Can't let them have all the fun' Gabriel thought to himself as he came to a halt and took in a deep breath before yelling out, "Hey Big Nose!!!!!"

Hearing the yell Buggy swirled around on the platform and looked down to him with absolute hate in his eyes.

"You!" Buggy growled, "you dare to show your face again you rat bastard!"

"Gabriel?" Luffy asked, hearing the voice.

"About time you showed up," Zoro said as he parried a sword strike from one of the buggy pirates.

"Where have you been!" Sanji yelled as he launched several kicks at one unlucky guy and sent him sprawling on the ground.

Gabriel chuckled, "Sorry I'm late, got turned around after I had to lose that Smoke guy" he said before looking up to Buggy with a grin, "come on clown, you and me, get that big nose of yours down here I wanna punch it again" he grinned.

Buggy, completely enraged by his words, gripped the sword he had tightly in his hand, "You flashy bastard, I'm gonna kill you!" he yelled and jumped off the platform landing on the ground before his body split in half as his upper part shot at Gabriel.

Gabriel grinned with him taking the bate and took a stance to intercept his arms vibrating as he moved to strike.

Buggy's sword came down and Gabriel brought his right fist up and into its side, the impact caused the sword to shake and in Buggy's tight grip the vibrations shook his entire arm making him grit his teeth in pain.

"What's the matter clown boy, can't take a joke" Gabriel grinned and thrust his left fist at his gut.

Buggy moved back quickly to evade the swing before knives shot into his other hand, "take this, Chop chop canon" he yelled as his left fist broke away from him and shot at Gabriel blades out.

Gabriel turned to the side and let the fist shoot past him before he reached out and grabbed it mid-air, "why thank you," he grinned before throwing the hand hard at the ground making Buggy yelp as his hand suddenly hit the ground as he dropped the knives.

"Sneaky son of a," Buggy began to curse him only to stop when Gabriel charged him fists drawn back as he came in low aiming for his lower body again, "nice try, Chop chop scatter!" he yelled as his upper body broke apart leaving Gabbriel without a target, or so he thought.

Gabriel grinned, 'got ya' before crouching down and jumping up into the air and brought his fist down again right into the big red target that was Buggy's nose.

"OW!!!!" Buggy yelled as his head shot back only for one of his hands to come and catch him before he hit the ground.

"You bastard!" Buggy grunted as he massaged his nose with his hand, "I'm going to make you pay for that!"

Gabriel grinned as he took a stance, "ready when you are a clown boy, I can do this all day" he said not feeling winded in the slightest.

Buggy growled but the sound of battle behind him made him pause and decide better, "we'll settle this after, right now I have that straw hat bastard to kill" he said before all of his upper body parts began to shoot towards the upper part of the execution platform again.

Gabriel scowled at being ignored, just because Luffy was the main character of the series didn't mean he wanted to play second fiddle to him. Then his eyes went to Buggy's lower body that was still on the ground that buggy had apparently forgotten about in his rush to kill Luffy.

Gabriel grinned, 'I'll teach him to ignore me' he said and rushed toward Buggy's lower half.

"Straw Hat Die Flashily!!!!" Buggy yelled as his body zoomed up into the air with his sword raised only for the next second a loud crack was heard and Buggy froze his face contorted in pain.

Down on the ground Gabriel grinned as his hat overshadowed his eye, his right leg extended his foot vibrating as it had been driven up right in between Buggy's leg, the cracking sound emitting from the impact as Buggy's most precious treasures were crushed by the impact.

"...." Buggy silently screamed as he fell flat on the platform out cold from the pain.

"Captain!" Cabaji yelled seeing his captain fall before he glared at Gabriel, "Bastard, that's playing dirty."

Gabriel grinned as he withdrew his foot, "So, we're pirates, everything's fair in war" he said hearing two bell sounds in his ears but he ignored them for the time being.

Cabaji scowled before lifting Buggy's sword, and looked to Luffy, "don't worry captain, I'll kill this bastard for you" he muttered before raising the sword again.

Luffy seeing the sword raised high believed he was really going to die and frowned before yelling, "Zoro, Sanji, Gabriel, Usopp, Nami!" he called out, "sorry, but… I'm dead!"

Everything seemed to slow down in flashes as the sword fell as everyone looked on. In a far building Smoker stood having been made aware of the situation and was ready to act, his eyes were set on Luffy as he had been waiting to attack, he watched as the sword fell and felt himself freeze when he saw the look on Luffy's face, "he smiled"

And the second before the sword fell a huge lightning bolt fell from the sky and hit the platform with a thundering boom.

Gabriel who was standing close to the platform was knocked off his feet and landed several meters away on his back with a groan and after a few seconds he began to get up again to see the platform crashing down blue flames all around it.

'That was a little too close for comfort' Gabriel thought to himself as he watched Luffy's hat float down only for Luffy to pick it up and put it on his head.

"Looks like I'm alive after all, that's nice" Luffy chuckled.

Everyone else was gobsmacked at the scene, unable to comprehend what they had just seen with their own eyes.

Gabriel got up and dusted himself off and fixed his hat before walking over to Luffy, "you never do things by halves do you Luffy" he said shaking his head with a smirk.

And that was when all hell broke loose as marines began to pour into the town centre to capture all the pirates.

"Damn it, Luffy we gotta go!" Zoro yelled as the marines sprung their trap.

Gabriel frowned seeing the marines pouring in by the tens. "Damn sneaky bastards, well at least they waited until out business was concluded" he muttered before slapping Luffy's back, "time to go Future king of the pirates, we can't fulfil our dreams if we get captured here"

Luffy nodded seriously, "let's go!" he yelled and the four of them grouped together and began to make a run for it avoiding the marines as best they could and beating their way through when they couldn't.

Gabriel's fist shaking fist lashed out at one last marine as they broke through the final line to the side street and they all made a break for it.

"Get back here!" Yelled Smoker as he came through as well following them as they ran.

"Shit not the smoke guy again," Luffy cursed.

Hearing that both Sanji and Zoro looked worried as they remembered Gabriel's warning about this guy as well.

Gabriel smirked, "Oi Smokey, piss off will ya, go polish your cigars or something" he called back.

"You're not getting away from me!" Smoker growled, "And I want my jitte back!"

Gabriel laughed, "I don't know what you're talking about, it just disappeared," he taunted before looking to the others, "you guys run on I'll deal with this guy, my powers counteract his smoke, he can't catch me so I'll stall to give you guys time and catch up"

Hearing that none of the three of them liked it but didn't argue if what Gabriel said was true and so only nodded as Gabriel came to a stop and turned on the spot drawing his fist back, "Shatter fist!" he yelled and threw his punch.

Smoker scowled and turned into smoke as the fist came at him and passed through him, "You won't get lucky a second time punk! White out!" he yelled as his body turned to smoke and expanded filling that area of the street.

Gabriel saw the smoke coming at him and instantly made his body vibrate as he jumped back letting him phase through the smoke, not getting caught in it as he jumped outside of the large smoke cloud.

"So you can phase through things" Smoker said as his body reformed, "it wasn't just some fluke, I've never seen a logia like that"

Gabriel smirked but didn't say anything before running at him again.

"It's useless," Smoker stated as he stood there letting Gabriel throw his punch, only for his eyes to widen when instead of punching him where he thought he would, he fainted to the left and lashed out with a knee to his gut making him stumble back

'Like I thought,' Gabriel grinned as he saw smoker stumble back, 'his body is solid unless he wills it to become an element, all the times that people try to hit him he has to see their attack coming and change ahead of time, surprise attacks can catch him off guard'

Smoker grunted as he rubbed his stomach as he glared at Gabriel, "not bad, but it won't happen again"

Gabriel smirked but knew that he was right, cheap shots only happen once, he caught him by surprise it wouldn't happen a second time. Smoker would be sure to elementalise his whole body to prevent cheap shots like that.

"Enough talking," Gabriel said as he made both his arms vibrate heavily before charging Smoker.

Smoker grunted, "fine, let's see if you're worth that twenty-three million," he said before his arms turned to smoke and he ran at Gabriel as well.
