7 The New Straw Hat (Short Chapter)

Sparrow stares out at a ship that is slowly disappearing into the distance in the same direction as the Going Merry had gone.

"Oi, so your crew mates also a devil fruit user eh? Shishishi. What kind what kind?" Luffy asks excitedly.

Sparrow chuckles, "Well you see mate, he is one of those Paramecia types just like you, however his ability is he can make gates in locations where he's already been, or near someone who has a gate mark."

Sparrow then raises his arm and pulls down the sleeve of his bron coat revealing a strange star like mark on his forearm. "He can then make a gate wherever he can see, and then you can pass through the gates to arrive at either location. Savvy?"

Sanji then widens his eyes, "Oi, so thats how it works? Pretty much instant travel? Pretty neat."

Luffy then grins, "OOOOO, that's neat! Sparrow, what's that Commodore business about?"

Sparrow then shrugs, "You'll see soon enough. Since we're going up against the Arlong Pirates, the Navy will catch wind of me no matter what I do, so i think it's time to introduce them to the Sparrow Pirates."

Zoro then groans as he's now mostly bandaged up and laying on a nearby table thanks to the chefs, after opening his eyes he looks around before asking, "So when's our ride getting here?"

Sparrow then covers his eyes before looking up at the son and replying, "Sometime today or early tomorrow I would say."

Zoro nods, "Good. That should be enough time for me to get healed up enough to fight again." Zoro the proceeds to turn to Sanji, "Oi, ya damned cook, you coming or what?"

Sanji, the narls, "Watch your mouth broccoli head! But as for whether I'm coming...."

Before he could finish however, Zeff, then walks into the room, "Your going Sanji! YOu have no more use here so you better leave!"

Sanji the gasps, "What? I'm the best cook in this place! How can you say you don't need me you damned geezer!"

The other cooks then all enter at this time nodding their heads in agreement, "Yah that's right get lost you flirt!"

"Get outta here you useless brat!"

"We don't need an arrogant ass like yourself here! Get lost!"

Sanji slowly begins to tear up as he watches all these chefs insult him with friendly smiles on their faces. They all know the reason Sanji remains here.

"You guys...." Sanji whispers before turning to Luffy, "WIll you have me? Captain?"

Luffy laughs, "Shishishi, of course I will!"

The moment Luffy declares this, a large greyish purple gate nearly 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide appears in front of them.

Sparrow then smirks, "Well boys, lets go fillet some fish!"
