The treasure and more canon characters (updated)

The next day, our punishment ended, and we could resume training. The grandmas also made us take a pledge that we will not do something risky like this again.

Today, I was swimming back to the Minion island again, because of the treasure and finding spoils. Once I reached there, at first I verified the treasure bag. I found it was there so there was no need to worry.

Next, I investigated the island and found out that, there were indeed not many things left. I was expecting arms and ammunition. But it seems that the marines have seized them all.

I still salvaged the remaining homes and other properties. There were all destroyed by the birdcage, and the navy cleaned up the dead bodies but I still found some money, that the people kept hidden here and there.

The people were annihilated, which was sad, but I had no way of saving them. The best I could do was tell Tsuru, but I had no way of legitimizing the information and she would not have believed me till the deed was done.

I also did not bail out Vergo, because, firstly it was risky. If Doflamingo comes to know about it, he will hunt me down. Secondly, he would place someone else in the marines and that will render my future knowledge useless.

After I salvaged the remains, I prayed for the souls and their peace in the afterlife. Stealing from the dead is not a very good thing morally.

Next, I dragged the bag to the shore and put some valuables that I found on the island in there.

Carrying the bag I started swimming back to the Swallow Island.

Once reached, I gathered Drake, Law, Thor, and Hodur and told them about my heist. All of them minus Drake were shocked.

Successfully completing my heist, I felt like a certain bald-headed family man who used to steal using cars.

"Oi Jai, why did you not bring me with you as well? It was fun"

"It was a stealth mission, Thor. Stealth. Do you even know what it means?"

"Of course, I know what it means. It means there should be no one who has spotted you. I can be very stealthy"

Other than Law, each one of us looked at him with our mouths wide open. This guy can't even whisper a thing and the noisiest among us

"Stop giving me that look. It is still stealth as long as nobody remains to talk about it"

Realization hit us. So that is what he was thinking.

"My dear brother, you were a big help, covering up for me here. Your contribution is immense"

"But never ever participate in a stealth mission. Leave that to others."

Thor was not happy, but the rest chuckled. Now all we had to do was bury the treasure and slowly convert it to money.

"I can't believe you pulled one on Doflamingo. While the rest were saving their lives, you were stealing everything" said Law.

"HAHAHA... That is something you will find me doing often"

Approximately 3 weeks back, somewhere in the sea, some pink coat Joker had his veins bulging in his head. The only profit he thought he made in this entire operation was the treasure chests and now, there was just some gold and the rest was gold-colored stones.

He had no idea who did that.

"That damn Diez. He not only lost the fruit but also lost his treasures. What a loser"

He did not suspect me as expected, and simply put the blame on Diez especially after seeing him drunk that day

We buried our treasure in the forest. All we had to do was convert it to money very slowly.

None of us knew the value of the treasure yet. So I had to do something to know about it.

I talked to the grandmas and got their permission to work in the jewelry shop to learn some sales. The shop owner did not mind. He was getting free labor after all. I could help him with various things, and in return, I would learn from him how to do business.

When I become a pirate, we will need to sell a lot of our plunder, so knowing it will be helpful. I only had to work there for 3 hours a day.

Once I started working there, I learned the art of selling, the skill of management, the prices of various jewelry, and various other business skills.

I approximated our wealth to be around 300 million bellies. But the main question was. How to sell them?

If we sell them on the island, people will backtrack them to us easily. So we had to wait.

Today, after finishing my job at the jewelry shop, I was hanging out with my gang in the forest. Soon, we came across 2 boys beating up a bear. It was another canon event.

Seeing this, all of us were disgusted.

"Oi stop it you two"

"Huh? Who are you to tell us anything? Scram before we beat you up as well"

I was glad that they did not say something like "courting death". If they said that, I would have never accepted them into my future crew.

We did not back out as expected. Penguin and Sachi, could not take it and started charging at us.

I could guess they were overconfident, because they are older than us.

This time, Thor stepped forward and said

I allowed him. He missed on the previous action and kept bringing that up again and again.

Thor did not even pull out his hammer. He just started playing with them.

Penguin attacked, and Thor tripped him.

Sachi still tried to attack him, but again he tripped Sachi on top of Penguin.

They got up and started attacking. To this Thor simply pushed Sachi on top of Penguin.

This continued for a while. It was interesting at first for us, but I got bored. So I said

"Thor end this quickly or I am stepping up"

Thor who was having a good time got angry at me. But I knew how to handle him

"I am counting down now. 5.... 4... 3..... 2....."

Thor even though annoyed at me, just punched both of the brothers unconscious.

"Oi Jai, why did you do that. Last time you had fun dealing with pirates. Why not let me have some fun?"

"What's the fun fighting them? Next time I will give you a good spar to enjoy"

Thor was grinning this time

"Ok. Don't forget later"

We approached Bepo.

"Thank you for saving me. Sorry for getting beaten"

Everyone was shocked to see a polar bear talking but soon calmed down.

"There is no more danger to you anymore so can turn off your devil fruit transformation." Drake said

"I am sorry, I am not a devil fruit user.

This time everyone was shocked for real.

"How is this possible without the devil fruit?" Thor said

"I am from the mink race. I come from Zou. It is in New World."

"My brother Zepo disappeared one day and I want to find him"

All of us asked all kinds of questions to him, quenching our curiosity.

By the end of our talk, Bepo was already friends with us. Now we had to look for a place for Bepo to stay.

Wolf too asked him many questions and finally allowed Bepo to stay.

A few days later, we were working on Wolf's experiment and heard the sound of an explosion.

I knew where this was going according to my knowledge.

We quickly rushed to the site and found Penguin without an arm and Sachi heavily injured.

The boar which attacked them ran off after the explosion.

We carried them back to Wolf's lab. As per canon, Law did the surgery and after hours, the surgery was complete.

Law was exhausted so he slept. After hours, he woke up and checked up on them again. This time they were stable.

Sachi and Penguin told us their back story.

"Our parents died 6 months back and our uncle and aunt adopted us."

"But they treated us like slaves. We were asked to do all kinds of work, take their beating when they felt like it, and also we had to do illegal activities in the town"

"We escaped, but we had nowhere to stay, so we made a shack in the forest"

"We stayed there and gathered fruits for us. But today, the boar attacked us"

"It pierced Sachi's stomach. So I had to attack it using the bomb that I stole"

"But the bomb exploded in my hand and I lost my arm"

"Thank you for saving us," both of them said in an unison.

We felt sad listening to their backstory.

"Wolf-san, can they stay with us too?" (Bepo)

Wolf thought. He didn't want to make his home into an orphanage but he too felt for them.

"Ok, but you have to work to stay here. That will include helping me on my farm, and my inventions"

The boys obviously agreed.

In the next few months, Wolf conducted an experiment, but due to failure, he got severely injured. We were there as well and there was nothing that could be done to save him, at least from what we saw.

Law of course did the same thing he did in canon. He used his devil fruit and performed a surgery on him. Wolf survived and he thanked Law.

Nobody asked Law about his devil fruit. He didn't want to reveal it to us, and we respected his privacy.

But Law this time told the truth himself. The complete true story.

Wolf then said "This information must never leak outside this room"

"The ope-ope-no-mi is a devil fruit that can grant eternal youth to anyone who eats it, but at the cost of user's life"

"If this leaks out, every strong person, every strong organization will come after Law, including the World Government"

Drake said "No wonder the government wanted to pay 5 billion bellies for this fruit"

I said "Law never use this power in front of others. Even if there is a pirate attack, and you have to use it, make sure no pirate is alive to tell anyone. Once we are strong enough, it won't be an issue"

Law: "That goes without saying. Moreover, this Doflamingo is very strong, and resourceful. Even if I use it in this remote place, he will find out"
