The first voyage And Meeting New People

AN: So some people were asking me when will the system activate. It will activate in the 3rd volume/arc. As for how long the second volume will continue, I don't know myself. I am not exactly a planning type. In my free time, I just take my laptop and start typing. But if I estimate it should be around chapter 28 (might be totally wrong estimate)

Bidding farewell to everyone, we jumped on the ship.

My heart was beating fast. It was the first time I was going out as me being the captain of the ship on a proper voyage. We did practice for this around the island.

I could see the excitement in everyone's eyes. So I started giving orders.

"Weight the anchor"

Drake started vertically pulling the anchor up. Once done, I gave my second order.

"Make sail"

Penguin and Sachi opened up the sails to catch the wind. I steered the ship to the open.

"Bepo, what is the weather report?"

"No signs of storm Jai"

I was glad. I wanted us to practice normal sailing first before facing the storm.

We had supplies for a week so I asked Bepo

"Set our destination to Lvneel"

Lvneel was Noland's hometown. It was around 2 days' sailing distance for us. So we plan to stay there for 2 days and return. We kept 1 day as the backup in case we get delayed due to any unknown reasons.

Observing the scenery was also good, although there was nothing much to see since all we had was a huge sea. So far we did not see any people, but we saw dolphins, whales, penguins, etc.

I did not neglect my training. Giving Drake the helm, I tied one side of a rope to my waist, and the other to the ship. Then I started swimming and pulling the ship. It was a very good exercise.

After some time, Thor took over the rope and I started swimming down to the bottom of the ocean.

Soon, I found a shipwreck. I sent a wave of king's haki to Thor above me. This was our way of signaling. Thor knowing this, ordered others to curl up the sails and stop.

Other than Drake and Law, everyone jumped on the water and made it to me. It should be noted that our lung capacity is very good and we can swim underwater for a decent amount of time and using geppo we can reach the surface very easily.

Others reached the bottom and everyone started the exploration. There were a few sharks roaming around and we chased them away with the king's haki. There we no dead bodies in there but after searching we found some treasure, which would amount to around 300,000, and some other miscellaneous things like a few barrels and boxes, which can be used after drying.

Salvaging the ship we returned back to our ship and continued the journey.

Two days later, we reached the Lvneel. Nothing special happened in our journey other than finding a shipwreck in the journey. We passed time with spars, cards, training, and some other things to occupy ourselves.

The city has a few attractions like bars, restaurants and a huge pink castle. Drake stayed back to look after the ship. We started roaming and entered a bar. I and Hodur are not allowed to drink since we are below 17. If Grandmas come to know about this, it will not end well for us. Moreover, it is harmful to our growing bodies.

We entered a bar and ordered food and beverages. The bar was lively, and we started enjoying ourselves.

But 2 presences caught our eye. It was 2 guys, one 15 feet tall, bulky muscular and the other was 13 feet tall, lean muscular with a rifle strapped on his back, having some drinks.

I was surprised to see the results. They were even better than Law and Drake only slightly lower than Thor and Hodur. Moreover, the two of them were based on Greek and Hindu mythology, like Thor and Hodur.

Hercules was known for his unparalleled strength and Arjun for his Archery, which was among the best, if not the best.

However, this Arjun had very good talent in marksmanship and observation haki. He also has a devil fruit.

Hercules similarly has more talent in armament haki and unarmed fighting.

Noticing my gaze, a person from the next table hushed to me

"Boy, you don't seem to be from around here. These two are the famous bounty hunter duo known as pirate seekers"

"I heard they have a very bad reputation, so don't stare at them"

I was shocked to hear that. I have seen their personalities in [observe] and it displayed "kind" among many others.

"Thank you, uncle."

But was I going to take his advice? No. I could sense their haki and they were not stronger than me. So I decided to approach them.

"Guys, I will be back. Found some interesting people"

"Ok"

I approached them with my mug of beverage.

"Hello, may I have the pleasure to join the famous pirate seekers"

They seemed surprised. Given their reputation, people do not approach them easily. But they did not mind. I was a 15-year-old kid after all.

Hercules: "Sure kid"

Arjun: "I see you are carrying a sword and a gun. Do you also want to be a bounty hunter?"

Jai: "Not for now. I am just going on an adventure with my crew."

I had to hide the part about bounty hunting.

Hercules: "But you have to be careful, kid. There are all sorts of dangers in the sea"

Jai: "That is true. But are you not going to lecture me like other adults because I am a kid?"

Arjun: "No, you will do it either way. Kids never listen"

Jai: "HAHAHA... That's true old man"

Arjun: "Oi, we are not old. Hercules is 21 and I am 19"

Jai: "And I am not a kid. I am just 4 years younger than you"

Hercules: "Herararara... you are a cheeky one"

We chatted for some time.

And eventually, everyone else joined. Since we were about to start bounty hunting, it does help to get some pro tips.

We did not say that our aim is bounty hunting but asked them various questions through a conversation. The ways they use to track the pirates, the way they hunt them, their reason for pirate hunting, etc.

Their backstory was interesting.

Hercules: "We were a happy family. Both of us, and our parents"

"But then pirates attacked and our village was destroyed."

"Our father was killed and our mother was captured to be sold"

Arjun: "But she wounded the captain's eye, and was ultimately killed"

"We somehow escaped to the jungle, but were chased"

"That day, something interesting happened"

Hercules: "When we were chased, Arjun was caught by the pirates, and we were in a desperate situation"

"Suddenly the pirates lost consciousness"

"We took that chance and escaped and somehow fought for our survival in the wild"

Arjun: "Ever since that day, we have decided to hunt down those, who ruin families like that"

Hercules: "Especially that fat bastard"

Thor: "Who is that fat bastard?"

Arjun: "Gato. He has currently joined the hidden mist pirates, being the number 3 just under Zabuza and Haku"

Thor clenched his fist and this did not go unnoticed by the others

Hercules: "So what is your story? What did they do to you?"

Thor: "Killed our parents during a voyage when we were children. We somehow escaped"

Arjun: "If we ever find the hidden mist pirates, we will spare the Zabuza for you then. It is not easy to leave 70 million bellies for others, but we like you guys"

Zabuza definitely has a huge bounty of 70 million, but I doubted if they will really leave that much amount for us.

We were chatting, about various things, and then suddenly we heard some chaos outside, with shooting sounds.

Hercules: "You guys stay back. Let us handle this"

But are we going to stay back? Hell no.

Once they exited, we escaped through the window with our bags. Our bags had our disguise.

Our disguise was nothing but a big cloak with a hood and mask. I had an idea to paint red clouds on the cloak, but everyone else voted against it.

Putting on our disguises, we went to look at the situation.

The pirates were nothing special but relied on numbers like Don Kreig.

We started attacking the pirates. I could sense Drake fighting near the ship and he has not transformed yet.

None of us were using black hardening, just the basic colorless one, so that our weapons do not get damaged. We wanted to keep the usage of Haki secret. Observation haki was still ok since no one can see us using it.

Suddenly I sensed a pirate was about to attack a small girl, who fell down while running.

Two shots were heard. One was mine, aimed at his head, while the other one was aimed at his heart.

The second one was done by Arjun. He too noticed me. Nonetheless, we continued.

Soon enough we faced the captain. He was called the Massacre Knight. He wore armor with almost no openings, thus, nothing could penetrate its defenses. At least ordinary methods.

I had no idea who to send since he was so weak that nobody could achieve any breakthrough by fighting him. Even though a few of my crewmates could not cut steel by hearing its breathe, but they could do the same by using Haki.

Arjun stepped up. I knew both of them could kill this guy. Hercules had immense physical strength and Arjun has a devil fruit.

The devil fruit was Metal-Metal fruit as shown by [observe].

A shiny liquid came out of Arjun's finger and entered the gun. He fired and a bullet came out. But this bullet is not a round shot but a pointy one and it started rotating like a drill.

The bullet too hit the knight's armor and like a drill, it pierced into the armor and injured the pirate's leg. Similarly, he fired 3 other shots taking out the pirate's mobility. He will clearly encash the pirate.

He obviously manipulated the metal bullet's shape before it left the barrel, increased its speed by manipulating the bullet and he further manipulated to give it a spin. A good combination of devil fruit and marksmanship I must say.

By now, all of the townspeople had fled.

Hercules: "So you guys do not plan to hunt bounties?"

Arjun: "Of course, these masked people would hunt. Just that Jai's crew will never hunt bounties"

They figured out our identity.

Jai: "How?"

Arjun: "Your bodies look similar, everyone is using the weapons they were carrying, especially you Jai. You don't find people who are skilled with swords, guns, and kicks everywhere. Want more?"

Bepo: "I am sorry for being found"

Law: "Oi the one who gave off the main hint was Jai not you"

Bepo: "I am sorry for apologizing"

*sigh*

'We have to be careful the next time.'

Jai: "I am sure you guys will not disclose our identities, but this pirate here knows about us, which we do not want to leak out"

I saw their personality and it told me they are not the traitor type.

Arjun said nothing more and shot 2 bullets. One to the head and the other to the heart.

Law: "Why did you do that? You will only get 14 M not 20 M"

Hercules: "Your identity's secrecy is much more important than that 7 M. We have amassed enough already to live our lives without any worries"

Bepo, Sachi, and Penguin had tears in their eyes. But every one of us was touched by this. We did not sense any malice from them either.

Even though they are merciless to pirates, they are very kind to others. They even paid a decent amount to the townspeople for repairs. Of course, they will earn a lot more than the amount they donated, but it was still a good gesture.

We went to a navy base on a nearby island. The entire trip was around 12 hours. We went there on our ship, and once we closed in, we stopped our ship.

I and Hercules got on our small rowboat and we rowed to the base with the dead body.

Once there, we proceeded further. I was keeping a mental note of the process. The base happens to be one of the biggest North Blue marine bases.

We visited the base's captain. His name was Hamster, and as the name suggests, he is a fat guy with two elongated upper incisors and his limbs are short when compared to his body, like Chinjao's legs.

He gave us a disgusted look, but he did his duty

"You there, show me your face"

I did as he said. He looked at me and after confirming that I was no criminal, he gave us 14 M.

We left after that and distributed the bounty equally among both groups.

We spent 1 day more in the Lvneel kingdom, visiting its various towns talking to locals, and finally leaving.

It was good meeting Hercules and Arjun, but it was time to bid farewell.

Jai: "Arjun, Hercules, let's meet again if fate decides"

Arjun: "Sure Jai. Our base is this city. If you want to find us anytime, here is your best chance"

Hercules: "When you hunt bounties, keep one thing in mind. Never bite more than you can chew. There are many devil fruit users in the seas, who are beyond the comprehension of logic"

Everyone said their part and we departed back to our home.

a. Polar Tang (the original name of Law's submarine)

b. Dream Chaser ( I personally liked this one, after searching the net )

c. Any other name that you believe will suit (not guaranteeing that your name will be taken, but please do let me know about your creative names)
