16 Chapter 16: Fianna island

With us going into submarine mode, we managed to sail directly to Fianna island without any disturbance.

Once we docked the submarine on the coast we all disembarked the ship. To explore the island, Hanzo and Bepo were riding on Snow's back while Mikoto and I walked on foot.

The island had a tropical climate, with trees reaching the size of mountains. We could barely see anything through the leaves, as they were basically forming leaf walls in our path.

"Ok, now we just have to find one of those giant snails and find a way to tame it." I said while cutting down the foliage in front of us with Kikoku.

From the moment I managed to obtain this sword, I didn't let it leave my sight. I would either train with it or carry it around on my shoulder like Law used to do in the anime.

Since it was a great grade sword, I hoped that by spending as much time as possible with it. I could manage to forge it through battle and training and turn it into a black blade. Effectively raising its rank into supreme grade, just like Mihawk's Yoru.

-------------

We have explored the island from top to bottom more times than I could count. And there was no sighting of any giant snail. We found giant birds, giant snakes and even giant worms but we couldn't find a single snail.

" Maybe the book was outdated?" Bepo wondered out loud.

" Maybe or we simply haven't looked enough!" I said as I kept walking aimlessly through the forest, in hopes of finding any trace of giant snails.

---------------

We have been looking for the whole day, and still didn't manage to find a single snail.

" It's about to get dark, Let's go back to the ship and start looking again tomorrow." I said.

" Hai!" My clearly tired crew said enthusiastically.

As we walked back to the ship, we witnessed a strange sight.

A sight that made me smile from ear to ear as we finally found what we've been looking for.

A dozen of giant snails were currently on the water surface, seemingly walking on it. They seemed to be eating sea algae like some cows eating grass.

" Of course we wouldn't find them on the island!" I exclaimed as I facepalmed in realization. "I completely forgot that they're a species of sea snail!"

All of my crew turned to look at me with murderous eyes. I didn't blame them, we've spent at least 10 hours searching this forest without rest.

Only for them to realize that we've been looking at the wrong spot all along.

" My bad…" I said while scratching the back of my head.

" *sigh* there's nothing that can be done about it." Hanzo said.

" Let's find a way to tame one of them and be done with this. I'm dead tired!" Mikoto said while yawning.

Looking at Bepo, he seemed to have already fallen asleep on top of Snow's back.

" You can go rest in the ship, I'll figure something out." I said.

They all obeyed except Hanzo who had needed a little bit of convincing on my part.

---------------------

Taming these snails proved to be harder than I expected. Everything I tried didn't work.

I tried patting them and treating them like some dogs, but they simply ignored me and kept on eating the sea algae.

So I tried feeding them some of it, they would eat from my hand but completely ignore anything else. And if I tried baiting them into following me, they would simply ignore the food on my hand and start grazing the algae on the surface of the water.

I kept trying different methods for hours on end but got no results. So in a desperate attempt, I started glaring at it as it kept slowly chewing its food, I wanted to force it to submit with my will. But since I didn't awaken my conqueror Haki and didn't know if I even had it. It simply kept slowly chewing on its food while giving me one of those resting bitch faces.

With a tired sigh, I laid on the ground and faced the cloudy night sky. The clouds kept moving in the sky freely, letting portions of a half-moon show from time to time. Looking at the spherical natural satellite, I managed to get an idea from the show Naruto. The sage had sealed Kaguya inside a huge sphere that essentially turned into the moon.

And with my powers, I'm sure I could recreate something like that.

[Room]

I created a room as big as I possibly could.

[Takt]

I started levitating every sea algae in the area, forcing every snail in the area to look in the sky as they tried reaching for their food. Clenching my fist the algae started sticking together and forming a giant sphere.

I now had every snail's attention as I basically created an algae moon. I stuck the algae moon on one of the giant trees of the island. Making every giant snail in the area rush to it. Quickly cutting the tree from its base with a single slash from my sword. I levitated the tree that was now holding a giant algae sphere at its top.

Moving the algae stick around, all the snail started following it without a problem.

"YOSHAAA!" I shouted in excitement I had finally succeeded.

Looking through the different snails, I identified the biggest and sturdiest looking one and stuck the giant tree at a 45% angle on its shell.

[Shambles]

I quickly teleported myself on top of our ship, " Everyone quickly unanchor the ship!" I shouted.

" Huh? Are we under attack?" Bepo asked.

" Just do as I say I'll explain later!" I said.

The crew quickly got to work and unanchored the ship.

" Hold on tight!" I exclaimed with a smile.

[Takt]

I started levitating our own ship and stuck it on top of the giant snail, that had a tree on top of its shell. The snail was already walking on top of the water. In direction of the giant algae sphere dangling in front of him not realizing it would never reach it as every step, it took forward the algae would follow. Resulting in an endless cycle.

" So Bepo in which direction is the redline?" I asked my crew with a bright smile on my face.

( And that is the end of Arc II: North Blue

Give some stones please, as I now have enough words to get a ranking.

And if you could leave a review it would be greatly appreciated.)
