27 'Hawk-Eyes' Dracule Mihawk

A few minutes earlier, before Don Krieg was defeated…Kita Port,

Killer and Gin, both loyal right hands to their pirate captains, faced off. No one was backing down.

"Sorry, but I'm gonna need to take you down and go support Don Krieg" Gin said, while getting into the fighting stance. He was carrying a pair of tonfa weighted with metal spheres which he uses to fight.

"I can't let you interfere in their fight, you're staying here with me" Killer flexed his Punishers, readying himself for the fight.

Gin spun his tonfas by their handles, building up momentum for his swing and increasing their power before he dashed towards Killer at a high speed and delivered a powerful blow at Killer's chest.

ZWOSH! Killer leaped to the side avoiding the attack and with his blades spinning like buzzsaws, he rushed towards Gin and slashed him around the neck with the intent of decapitating him.

<Beheading Claw>

When Gin saw that he quickly crossed his weapons in front of him, effectively blocking Killer's blades, but he was still pushed back a little.

"I see you!...Demonic Dance!" Gin leaped forward towards Killer again with one of his tonfas swinging and landed in a crouched position, slamming it down onto Killer's shoulder. The latter deliberately took the attack head on, before he grabbed Gin's weapon and then struck him through the chest with his other free arm.

CLANG!! CLANG!! Gin managed to quickly react and utilized his other tonfa to block Killer's blade. The two were locked in constant clash after that, before Killer surprised him with a fast and powerful leg attack.

He quickly rushed at him utilizing a Jao Kun Do technique where he jumped rapidly to kick Gin in the neck in an attempt to break it. Killer's leg motion was so swift that it became blurry and left an after image, leaving Gin unable to predict where the kick would land.

Killer's kick managed to land on Gin's chest, causing a lot of damage and leaving him vulnerable to follow up attacks. Killer didn't waste any time and charged at him again with his blades spinning rapidly.

<Cleaving Claw>

ZWOOOSH!! With a swift move, Killer leaped in the air and descended towards Gin, slashing him in the torso and ripping his chest open.

"A-AGHHH!!...Don…Krieg…" Those were Gin's last words before he collapsed on the ground unconscious and drowning in his own blood.

"Let's what those two are doing…" Killer turned back on his hells and walked away. He found Kai and Don Krieg's fight finished and tried to approach his captain before the sounds of explosions grabbed the attention of everyone on the port.

"What the hell is that sound?" Kai scanned the port before his eyes landed on the sight of Mihawk destroying Don Krieg's ships.

FWOOOSH!! KA-BOOOM!! Mihawk swung his sword vertically and released an incredibly powerful flying slash that decimated 15 of Krieg's ships in a single stroke, leaving witnesses in shock. He then continued his journey to the port with a calm demeanor.

"Am I dreaming?..." Someone said while rubbing his eyes from shock.

"H-He destroyed our ships with one swing…WHO IS THAT GUY?!!"

Kid who was flying using his magnetic power and engaging with the pirates looked dumbfounded at that display of power "What in the world is that?!" He looked shocked upon witnessing that, before he got a glance on Mihawk "It must be his doing…Hehe, I've been itching for a good fight"

"Eat this!...Punk Pistols!" Kid rapidly fired several massive metal spears from his giant harpoon gun towards Mihawk.

"You fool…" Mihawk swiftly disappeared from his boat and reappeared mid-air in front of Kid, swinging his sword diagonally at him.

Kid froze in his place and couldn't react to that. But before Mihawk's blade could hit Kid, a figure suddenly appeared between them and took the hit instead.

SPLASH!! It was Killer who was slashed across the chest and got sent and Kid crashing down to the port's ground.

"What did you do that for--" Kid paused for a second and had a look of horror in his face when he saw Killer's injury, his whole torso was cut open "Hey, Killer are you okay?!…" He quickly rushed towards him.

"Don't worry, it's not very deep…COUGH! COUGH!" Killer threw a mouthful of blood, his skin went pail, and blood gushed out of his wound while his eyes was still locked at Mihawk. He looked in immense pain "Huff…Huff…this guy is very dangerous…"

"You bastard, that's my friend you just cut open. I'm gonna kill you right here and right now!" Kid declared while looking at Mihawk in hostility.

"Hold it!...You've just attacked the Strongest Swordsman in the World you shit head…'Hawk-Eyes' Dracule Mihawk!" Kai suddenly appeared beside them.

"The Strongest Swordsman in the World?!" Of course, Kid did heard about him, but this was the first time he sees his face.

"You don't seem as ignorant as your…brother I assume" Mihawk said, docking his boat in the middle of the shipwrecks before he stepped onto the port. He's sword was already sheathed back.

"Captain!!" Heat, Wire and Bonney appeared as well.

"Bonney, I'll leave Killer to you, take a good care of him! Heat, Wire take Don Krieg and Gin, chained them up and lock them in the ship!" Kai gave orders, and three of them proceeded to do as he said.

"Hmph…how foolish, don't tell me you're planning to fight me?"

"I know damn well that you're not gonna let us leave just like that after getting attacked…did you come here for Don Krieg's head?"

"Don Krieg? I'm just here to kill some time" Mihawk responded with a bored expression.

"You destroyed 15 ships because you were bored?!"

"Taking a closer look at the situation, it seems that you were fighting the pirate fleet all by yourselves. Quite impressive for someone who just set foot on the Grand Line"

"Sorry Kai, it's my fault" Kai looked very surprised at his brother's apology, since apologizing is not something he does often.

"Don't think about it too much, you had no idea who he was. Just don't recklessly attack people in the future unless you know who you're facing" Kai said with a grin before he turned attention back to Mihawk.

Kai already knows that he stands no chance even if the whole island team up against Mihawk, so he hopped that he could just get bored at some point and leave, of course that if he doesn't finish them off with one attack.

"How pitiful, weak ones…Though I'm only interested in swordsman I'll spare a few minutes, I hope you can at least entertain me for a bit" Mihawk said as he grabbed a cross-shaped knife that he wears as a pendant around his neck and unsheathed it.

"You're looking down on us…" Kid clenching his teeth from anger.

Kai couldn't help but laugh at that "Kahahaha! I guess I'm not that worthy for you to use your black sword"

"I'm no beast that goes all out when hunting a rabbit. Unfortunately, I don't carry any smaller sharp instrument than this one" Mihawk said, his voice dripped with confidence and superiority.

"Very well then…SWOOOSH!!" Without a notice, Kai used Soru to dash at Mihawk, his hammer was coated with lightning and with a powerful horizontal swing he aimed to deliver a crushing blow at Mihawk's face.

*Lightning*-*Thunder*

"Mjölnir Thunderclap!!"

*Lightning*-*Thunder*-*BAAAM* Not to his shock, Mihawk easily blocked Kai's hammer with his knife without breaking a sweat.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Kid looked dumbfounded. It was the first time he witnesses someone stop Kai's hammer attack like it's nothing.

"Impressive speed you got young man" Mihawk calmly remarked.

"Hehe, I can't say I'm surprised…" Kai laughed nervously before he retracted his hammer and delivered a series of hammer thrusts at Mihawk, the latter parried the attacks with ease without even moving from his place and when he saw an opening, he stabbed him in the chest.

"ARGHH!!...Fuck…Huff…Huff…" Kai clutched his chest from pain, but he didn't back away.

"I can see that you've got the talent, but talent alone is not enough to make it through the Grand Line"

Kai closed his eyes and calmed himself down, focusing his mind 'I can't hit him nor dodge his attacks since he's using Observation Haki…I gotta focus, I'll at least get out with something from this fight!' Kai thought.

"I'll support you!...Punk Vice!!" Kid gathered metals around him, making two giant makeshift arms before he leaped in the air and tried to crush Mihawk by slamming the hands at him from both sides.

FWOOSH!! Mihawk simply disappeared from his position before he reappeared behind Kid and then hit him in the nape with his hand, sending him crashing into ground.

"I can't believe his toying with those guys like children…" The Krieg Pirates who were watching the fight didn't even dare to interfere.

'Don't attack blindly…' Kai calmed himself down and focused deeply before he charged at Mihawk again.

SWOOSH!! Using Soru, he closed the distance in a split second and delivered a barrage of attacks with his hammer.

'…every attack has an intent…'

"Such a savage fighting style" Mihawk again didn't even flinch while blocking and parrying them with ease using his small knife.

'…every attack has a hint'

When Mihawk saw an opening, he tried to stab Kai again, but this time the latter managed to feel the attack coming using Observation Haki and dodged to the side using Soru at the last second.

'That's it! I can finally feel it!'

Mihawk's eyes widened upon seeing that, but he didn't stop there and proceeded to deliver more knife thrusts which Kai kept dodging one after the other, though with extreme difficulty.

"That's surprising, I have no doubts about it…It's the first time I meet someone at this stage who can use Haki, I'm certain that you're not using it unconsciously…" Mihawked remarked.

"…I don't know what kind of opponents you faced in your journey until now or the training you went through, but you proved to be more than just an ordinary pirate who entered the Grand Line…Tell me your name young man"

"…Huff…Huff…Eustass Kai, the man who's going to surpass everyone and become the King of the Pirates!!" Kai declared while gripping his hammer tightly.

"I'll remember it…your appearance reminds me of an old rival" Mihawk sheathed his crossed-knife and took out Yoru, his famous black sword "It's such a shame that you're not a swordsman…Out of respect of your fearlessness and strength, I'll sink you using the world's strongest black sword!"

"Hehe, I'm honored" Kai said with a savage grin, his face and body were covered in blood, but he didn't back down.

The two stood silent for a moment before they dashed at each other. Kai's lightning coated hammer was aimed to crush Mihawk's skull, while Mihawk preformed a diagonal slash at Kai's chest.

CLANG!! SPLASH!! After both their weapons made contact, Kai's blood splashed from his chest as he was ripped open, and he immediately collapsed on the floor drowning in his own blood.
