1 Chapter 1: A Pirates Life For Me

A/N: Hey everyone, this is a map of the North Blue. Where the MC first few adventures will take place before he moves on.

Jumping back I dodged a sword strike coming towards me from my left.

Once I did so I stabbed the sword I am holding in my right hand forward.

But my opponent easily read my move and parried my strike.

The force of the counter knocked the blade out of my hand.

As it clattered to the ground I found the tip of my opponents blade pointed at my neck.

Seeing this I made the only choice I could.

"I give up." I said.

Once I did so my opponent removed the tip of their blade from my neck.

Since we are not engaging in real combat, simply a training session.

One of many I have had since I convinced the marines on my home island to train me in basic combat.

Which was actually rather easy once I told them I wanted to be a marine just like them.

But that was a bold face lie.

In truth I simply wanted to get training from them in preparation for went I sent out to sea and become a pirate.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here.

Before things go any further allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Roberts.

Soren D. Roberts.

Yes, you heard right. I have D. in my name. Just like several characters from Echiro Oda's masterpiece manga/anime series One Piece.

Which is exactly where I am.

The world of One Piece.

Though I am not originally from here.

The truth is I am living a second life.

Before my name Oscar, and I was simply a 21 year old college student with a love for all things anime, manga, and videogame related.

Then one night everything changed.

I was walking home from my part-time when all of a sudden when I was crossing a street I got a visit from the almighty truck-kun.

He ran me over without any hesitation.

Then right after he did I found myself here in the world of pirates, marines, and shit-tasting fruits that bestow superpowers as a baby once again.

At first I had trouble coming to terms with everything.

But as time progressed I accepted my reality.

Somehow I got a second chance at life. I was reincarnated in a world that was once simply fantasy.

Ten years have passed since then.

The marine who sparred with me in swordsmanship today, a man named Keith, moved over to me and extended a hand in my direction.

Taking it I stood to my feet.

"Good work as always Roberts." Keith told me. "You seem to be improving with every session. If you keep this up I can say with certainty you'll have no trouble getting into the marines once you reach the appropriate age."

"Thank you Mr. Keith." I said in my best child-like voice.

This is one of the advantages of being a kid again.

I can fool these marines easily.

Another advantage is being able to check out women without them calling you a lecher.

Which I have done once or twice.

I am not ashamed to admit that.

"You're welcome Roberts. Well, see you tomorrow." Keith said.

"Yes, see you tomorrow." I said.

I then left the training area and exited the towns marine base.

After I did so I took a quick stroll through town. Greeting familiar faces as I usually did.

Since the same people have lived here on my home island since I was reborn. Barring a few here and there.

As for the name of my home, it is known as Spades Town. An island located in the North Blue.

In no time at all I finished my walk through town. Reaching the outskirts which led into the local forest.

The moment I reached it I entered it.

Then I walked for a good 30 minutes before I reached my destination.

A treehouse I built myself two years ago.

Deciding to take a page out of the ASL brothers book.

It is where I live.

Before that I called the islands local orphanage home.

Yes, that's right. I was born an orphan. But that doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Especially given I now call one of all time favorite manga/anime worlds home. Not only that but I have also have the hidden name of D. Which basically means whatever force reincarnated me into this world wants me to accomplish great things.

Given how most of those with D. in their name in the One Piece world go on to do incredibly things.

Oh and one other thing.

For some reason I look exactly like Bartholomew Roberts from the Fate/Grand Order mobile game I played in my last life.

So not only is my name Roberts but I look like Roberts as well.

Coincidence?

It's definitely not.

Heading over to the ladder that led up to my treehouse I climbed up it.

Then once I reached the top I pulled the ladder up, since I am not going out anymore today.

Heading over to a makeshift couch I sat down, my mind wandering towards the future. Specifically about my goals for the future.

Which is to set out to sea, become a pirate, form a crew, and then claim the One Piece and become the next King of the Pirates.

I know, I know, it's a super cliché goal.

But I don't care.

I died before Oda finished the manga, and since I want to know what the One Piece actually si I've decided to go and see for myself.

Of course I know it's not going to be easy.

But if reaching a goal was easy, then life would be boring.

And living a boring life is something I don't intend to do.

Not at all.

I'll go on adventures, discover the hidden mysteries of this world, and live without any regrets this time around.

I might also have sex with one or two of my favorite One Piece waifu.

Nico Robin being at the top of my list.

Hehehe. Yeah, boi!

Just thinking about it brings a smile to my face.

Ah, I can't wait to start my adventures.

It's a pirates life for me.
